My crew and me just got done with a quick meal at In N Out and I really could use some coffee to get me through the rest of the day. This location is right near our hotel and we're a little early for check in time, so I decide we'll just hang out at this Starbucks for a little while. Everybody has their laptops and phones to use the free WiFi and we can use the restrooms here too. I can log on to my work laptop and see if there's any work stuff I need to deal with. I get in line for the coffee and all I need is my thermos mug filled. I use that for when I'm on the road and it keeps the coffee nice and hot. Service is efficient and friendly for all of us. WE sit around and hang out for a bout an hour till our rooms are ready at the hotel. The hotel calls me and we're outta here. This is a good location. read more

The second drink wasn't completed until we had finished eating our bagel and butter croissant. Drinks were on par for what you would expect at a Starbucks. I don't usually review chains... because it feels redundant and honestly whatever. Things are usually consistent and, for me, if they're not, it's not a huge deal as long as it's not horrendous. Well, this was horrendous. It was honestly the worst beverage I've ever consumed. (QUICK NOTE: I'm giving them two stars because the service was really nice and pleasant, despite it being so early in the morning! Without the service, I'd give this place a one, unfortunately.) Let's start at the beginning. I'm currently in the process of moving back to Washington State after living in Silicon Valley for three years, so... that means a lot of driving. I stayed at a hotel in Medford since it's sort of in the middle, and woke up early to finish up the drive. I decided I should probably get some caffeine to kick start the monotonous journey, especially since I clocked in at 6 hours the day before. First of all, this place's parking lot is kind of a mess. It was difficult to navigate and I even had put it into my GPS. I ended up in the Walmart parking lot at one point and was so confused. This could also partially be because it was 6 in the morning and I was running on empty. I ordered a venti iced vanilla latte and a bagel with cream cheese. I get to the window and I'm handed a hot beverage. No big deal. I was apologized to and they went to remake it. They were really quick about it which was nice! I was given my iced beverage and off I went. Well, as I was leaving the window I sipped my drink and it was honestly the most godawful coffee I had ever had in my entire existence. It was horribly bitter and definitely didn't have vanilla in it at all. And I'm pretty sure I was charged for the vanilla? I think. I'm not positive. I didn't want to go into the building because first of all, I was in a hurry and wanted to make good time so I didn't hit the dreaded Portland traffic. So I just gave up and told myself I'd get used to the bad flavor. I drove away and drank about 2 sips of this venti ice "vanilla" latte that I paid for and then threw it away. It's nice to see that the service at this Starbucks has improved so much! I'd about given up on them. But, they were friendly, quick, and knowledgeable. The only problem (one star deducted) was that the drinks were way too sweet. It's possible that the barista was new (new staff is a great thing here). I travel all around the USA and most starbucks are pretty much the same except when their workers refuse to follow their own menu on how to make things. I had a employee here get upset because I ordered an ice coffee with milk and she went and changed my drink to ice coffee with CREAMER. She got upset when I corrected her and she told me I need to be more specific next time, I explained that no I do not as the official way this drink is made is with 2% milk and not cream. She got upset and started to give me attitude after that. Starbucks really needs to explain to their employees that it doesn't matter what the local market might order more often but to follow the menu unless otherwise specified. read more

This Starbucks has a drive through window that we use a lot. It's very convenient. I drink Starbucks every day and it is my favorite in the area. I utilize my gold card a lot as well and earn free drinks and food all the time. The staff here is not particularly friendly at all. I think that's why I use the drive through mainly. When I go inside the store is clean and has lots of room and tables. They have outside tables too for nice days. It's a nice starbucks but if they'd be more personable it would make a difference. Some locations seem to be this way and it's a bummer. Staff can make or break the experience and there are other stores in the area that take customer service a bit more seriously. read more

When I was in there a homeless guy came in and asked for ice and the very kind redhead barista greeted him by name and had the kindest smile, served him his ice, and told him to have a great day. I have been to this location about 4 times now and was prompted to write a review because I really seem to have the same experience every time I go in. The place has alot of customers relaxing with there coffee inside. There seems to be 4-5 associates working the counter/window. And I usually only have to wait behind only one other customer standing at the counter. Seemingly that I should be in and out within a couple minutes since I am ONLY buying a bag of coffee beans that I dont need ground. For some reason the customer infront of me always has some complicated transaction that takes about 5+ minutes to complete, then the associate leaves to go put the order together even though there are 4 others putting orders together or cleaning something. This takes about 4-5 more minutes more before she is done and returning to ask me what she can get for me. I am never acknowledged while Im waiting behind the other customer, never given a heads up on how long it will be till they get to me, never thanked for waiting so damn long. They usually dont even say hello, just "what can I get started for you". Fortunately no one is ever rude, just SLOW and I dont think they are following the correct process to complete orders. It just seems like if there are 5 people working, I SHOULD be able to get out in a quicker time frame. read more

The only Starbucks near Exit 27 that also has a drive thru! (Another one further up Barnett near RRMC has a drive they as well) This location is tricky only because inbound traffic has to navigate past the seemingly always backed up next door drive thru of a Panda Express. If you don't want to fight the traffic, there is a larger Starbucks just about 200 ft farther north on Center. That location is walk-in only, so for us lazy Starbucks fans on the Southside, this one is great! read more

the servers at Medford OR, Center Street near Walmart have no idea what contactless service means. we started in the drive through and the server bare handed our 3 drinks with fingers on the lids. when the lid of one drink fell off and spilled contents in our truck, I went inside. my drink was remade, but a different server bare handed my drink lid with fingers on the drink spout. I asked for a new lid, to which no regard for my concern was given, so I asked for a third lid and again...same degree of service. COVID transmission cases should contact trace this location. I was at Starbucks this morning around 7:45am. There was an older woman who worked the window. I ordered a small matcha green tea, iced, with almond milk, red pepper egg white bites, and an everything bagel with cream cheese. Not only did she continuously correct everything that I said---which comes off as being rude and condescending. She even said "We actually do not have everything bagels at any of the locations here in Oregon, we have the Chonga bagel instead" which is literally an everything bagel with cheddar cheese baked onto it, and this is probably why I have never had any of the other baristas correct me when calling it an "everything bagel". Once I made it to the window, I realized that there was a misunderstanding with the drink that I ordered. She had an iced chai in her hand, but I said that I wanted a matcha green tea, not a chai. To which she replied, "that is our green tea latte!" That being the last straw (pun not intended), I declined having them remake my drink altogether. As a former barista, I am well aware of what matcha is: it is a type of green tea, and actually is not a "latte" at all... but I digress. I was literally on my way to work, and was hoping to start my day off right by grabbing some breakfast, and ended up having a horrible experience due to an egoistical barista that left a bad taste in my mouth. read more
