We waited in the drive thru line and no one asked to take our order. Drove to the window and they insisted we circle back around to the end of the line to place our order. The female at the window had a bad attitude. Left for several minutes while we waited even more.... then returned with the 'manager on duty', Katie, who told us they could not take our order at the window and we had to go back around. Unreal! We are not idiots, you could have taken our order. So you didn't want to. We weren't even ordering coffee, only a few bakery items. They could have easily fulfilled our order in the time it took to delay and get a non-manager, manager to give us a hard time for their mistake. 4 in the car and we all swear we won't go to Starbucks again. read more

I went to Starbucks, and the line was long...I had about 4 cars in front of me...but it is a drive thru...it should take too long. I was wrong. I ended up waiting 20 minutes...which I find that time to be ridiculous...Not online that...both of my beverages I received were incorrect...my son ordered a hot chocolate and received a peppermint white mocha latte. I ordered a Peppermint Mocha and got a caramel latte. I could have went back in and got them corrected but I had already waited twenty minutes and had a baby in the car that was asleep. This isnt the first time I have waited a long time for some java...but this location seems to be notorious about being slow. read more

Been ordering Frappuccinos for many years and always substitute Cold Brew for the Frap Roast - never have had an issue ordering this way virtually anywhere I've visited a Starbucks...until today when i was informed by the Barista that she was advised not to make them that way - "they don't blend well". She refused to make the Cookie Crumble Frap with Cold Brew. I promptly left and decided to visit another Starbucks about a mile away - absolutely no issues at the 2nd location. In fact, they were very pleasant and made no comments on the substitution. So, I can only conclude that this was arbitrary. Will not patronize that location again. Conveniently located, this Starbucks is always busy, unless it's 7pm at night. Be warned, if you order to pick up from the mobile app, do not go through the drive through. For some reason it is extremely slow, even if there's only two cars ahead of you. The staff in here are very nice, and the store is mostly kept clean. A 3.5 rounded down because the restrooms were not very inviting on my last visit, and because the drive through took 20 minutes... My egg bacon and guoda was HORRIBLE, 2 little half slice of bacon, undercooked. Muffin barely toasted, the cheese was wrong, a little peice of orange cheese. Put in a mobile order on our way through. 5 minutes later we walked in. Went to the restroom, then went back out to wait. There was a gentleman there that was putting in his order AFTER we left the restroom. He, like us, were waiting near the counter. One of the workers came up to him to ask him what he ordered. He told her and she then pulled 4 more orders from the sticker machine, found his and then made HIS order. I saw our order already on the machines. So she passed by at least 3 orders, to find his, while WE were standing there and didn't say anything to us. Finally she did ask us, went to where our stickers were and made one of our drinks. We had to wait about 5 more minutes for the other 2 Fraps. This Starbucks is conveniently located over in the Tech Center complex - and because of that, I want to like it as a working location more than I do. For whatever reason, it seems like the staff turns over a lot here because someone taking my order is always new and always gets it wrong. The inside is small and somewhat cramped compared to other locations, but they do have some nice outdoor seating with decent shade. The only problem with that is that it faces Jefferson, which basically means you get nothing but traffic noise happening. So, for a Starbucks, it is what it is - but for whatever reason, I just don't get the same vibe I do at other locations in terms of it being a welcoming place to work. read more

We went through the drive-thru and they asked multiple times how I would like my English Breakfast tea prepared, (2% milk steamed and a honey packet), at the intercom and then again at the window. After I received my tea and drove away, I let it steep and cool for a bit before attempting to drink it. This is when I realized they did not add the milk or honey... it really ruined the entire drink for me. Paying those prices and getting asked multiple times how I would like to have it prepared, you'd think at least one thing would have been correct. This is probably my favorite location to hit up when I'm in the area. I always go through the drive thru and they're also so quick and efficient. Once you get up to the window to pay and get your drinks, you're met with smiles and pleasant quick conversations. Even the baristas taking your orders are friendly and ready to help and make suggestions when you're stuck on what to get, and they're up to date with secret menu items so you can order it by their name. I have stopped at this location a few times on the way to base. After getting my coffee I remember why I shouldn't come here and have to go to the other location at kiln creek to get it fixed. The coffee here every time looks like watered down tea. There's no point in asking them to fix it because they just stare at you like you're wrong and give you a cup from the same batch. I have went to Starbucks on warwick blvd newport news, va for a long time. This past year it sucks! There has been a few times , they got my order wrong or do not know how to make the coffee drink. I went there today because it is near me and they messed up my oder again! Instead of a frappe they gave me a latte. It tasted like hot milk. I did not taste any coffee at all! I went here via drive through last night and as I approach the window a barista kept giving me a very ugly look like they had never seen a human before. They didn't even say hello or ask how I was doing, I was very uncomfortable then they proceed to rudely accuse me of throwing something at them? And when I said I had not they acted like they didn't believe me and didn't even apologize for the accusation. Was about to honestly say a good choice of words but figured they were having a stressful night.
