At this point we are just ordering this wrap to see how much worse this can get. Today marks the fifth time in a row they have served me a chicken wrap when we clearly ordered the vegan falafel. The label even says falafel. I'm sorry to any vegans out there who didn't know the wrap color and accidently bit into a digusting chicken wrap. Maybe somewhere here is color blind? The only Starbucks on the east side that makes drinks correctly, or doesn't give you a hard time if you need something remade. They're very friendly and attentive, you can tell it's managed really well because even the long lines move quickly. I highly recommend this location. read more

Starbucks Restroom Policy - A Disappointing Experience I travel frequently, and Starbucks has always been a go-to stop for me on the road. But my recent experiences have me seriously rethinking that. Last week, I stopped by a Starbucks in the Los Angeles area after a long drive. I walked in and asked the employee for the restroom code before placing my order, as nature was calling. The first thing she asked was, "Are you going to order something?" I was a bit surprised but didn't think much of it. Fast forward to this week--I was in Palmdale for a meeting and stopped at another Starbucks. Same situation. I asked for the restroom code, and again, the first question was, "Do you have an order?" When I said no, she told me I needed to place one first. I explained I just needed to use the restroom quickly and would order right after. Look, I get it. Businesses deal with all kinds of issues throughout the day, and I understand if there's a policy in place. But charging $7+ for a coffee just to use a restroom feels like a stretch. We've all tossed a quarter or 50 cents into a public restroom machine--this is just taking it to another level. What bothered me more than the policy itself was how it was communicated. There's a much better way to handle this. Instead of bluntly asking "Do you have an order?", why not say something like, "I'm sorry, our restrooms are for paying customers only. Thanks for understanding." That one sentence shows respect and professionalism. Starbucks is a huge company, and maybe my experience won't change anything. But I do think customer service is slipping, and for me, that matters. I'll definitely think twice before choosing Starbucks as a stop on my next trip. read more

So I walked into Starbucks and was instantly greeted by everyone working there. I felt like a celebrity! Truly I did. Of course the place smelled like, the sweetest most satisfying cup of coffee that you will ever experience. Lauren, greeted me so confidently, it helped me to give her my order with the same confident energy. Lauren, took my order and immediately confirmed that I would receive my coffee momentarily. I shared with her that she is doing such a great job and that the only negative feedback I had to give, was that I recommend, that she uses her same confidence energy, that she greeted me with, to up sale her request for a tip $$. I explained that when the prompt for a tip comes on the screen, say the following, " If you agree that I provided you with good service, please leave me a tip that you think matches my service quality." "If not, you may skip that screen." I explained to Lauren that people like me, who usually tip fairly well, are looking for people like her, who provide excellent service. These two things, should go hand in hand. This, only makes since. To my surprise, Lauren's manger, happened to be standing(quietly listening and observing) about 4-6 feet, away from Lauren, while we are conversing. During our conversation, I even asked the manager did she agree that Lauren was excellent at providing great customer service, and she said "yes." Lol! I didn't even know she was the manger until Lauren and I were through talking and she revealed who she was. "Wow!" This was such a wonderful experience. The energy in the store felt so calming and renewing, all at the same time. When I got my coffee, I exited the store, but not before saying and hearing all of the goodbyes. As I walked to my car, only about 13 feet away, I could smell the caramel and vanilla sent, oozing from my grande sized cup. As I opened the car door and gently sat down, trying so hard not to spill a drop of the deliciousness, gently being caressed by my dominant right hand, I took my first sip. Mmmmmmmmmm, is all I could think. It smelled like someone poured "patience and Love" into my cup. Oh but when I tasted it! Have you ever gotten into a jacuzzi during winter? Before you get in, you are feeling cold, a little chilly. Oh but the moment your pinky toe touches the hot water, oh my goodness! Pure Chill Release Zone! I've been here many times, especially in the past four months. At times, the drive-thru seems to take an unnecessarily long time (as if slower than other locations with the same volume), but not too bad. I've sat inside and outside recently. Inside (like most Starbuckses) is kind of loud: frap machines whirring, ovens beeping, music pumping, people talking (loudly, to be heard over all the other noise). So, not great for studying or conversations, but not impossible for either of those, either. The place is clean, the restrooms well cared for (except once when I had to let a barista know one of the restrooms was out of TP). Outside patio is nice. Orders have been right every time. I drink Starbucks 2x a day. Sometimes 3. Never have I had an issue. I should have taken a picture at the drink they served me. As they are remaking it, they ask me what is an upside down shot? My cup was filled to the top with ice and no coffee touching it. I was baffled. As she remakes my drink I'm still trying to figure out what I was just given. This is not Starbucks customer service... My first visit here the shift lead , reminded me that she is shift lead. & there is no such thing as a Carmel brûlée shaken espresso. I asked for no classic syrup and substitute with Carmel brûlée and she just proceeded to tell me that wasn't a drink and I just said can I please have that. Didn't say a word just disappeared then came back about 5 minutes later saying sorry and then took my payment. Afterwards he gave us 2/3 drinks we ordered then disappeared again. I could see him pacing around for a bit then he was out of sight for roughly 10 minutes.... A tall frappe took 10 minutes..... I saw at least 3 other workers back there with him. Had a bad experience running into an employee in the drive thru on 7/18 at around 9:45 pm. She was so miserable and had such an attitude problem that it ruined our mood for the rest of the night. no response when we said thank you even on the Speaker. We get to the window to pick up 1 drink and she goes want a Cookie, we said yeah and took it without thinking - we asked if we could get a pup cup. This lady sighed and was clearly irritated as if we told her to redo a drink or something, it wasn't even busy. She didn't acknowledge my dog or anything but was annoyed to have to give us a pup cup for him - I've never had that reaction before for asking for a pup cup. She legit rolled her eyes and was annoyed to have to put some whipped cream in a cup. Back to the cookie. We realized she gave it us for free due to perhaps a Customer changing their mind about it, so when she came back to give us the pup cup we said we didn't order a cookie, she said "yeah I said you want a cookie?" Very rudely. we still said thank you and she of course did not respond or even pass a smile. Why are you working here? I give this place 5 stars by the quality of their products. I have never been disappointed with the drinks I have gotten. However today I faced a disappointing encounter with Lizzette. She was very rude from the start. Last week I had ordered a Chai Creme Frappuccino (it is an actual drink on the website) and her attitude of the drink I choose was negative. She insisted that the drink didn't exists and started saying only Chai Tea and Matcha Tea were my only options. I then ordered a Blond Cappuccino and asked if it had sugar and she made me feel like a complete idiot by her choice of words. By her strong attitude not only towards me but towards other customers and her co workers led me to give this place a lower star count. Everyone working at this Starbucks is really kind - like making sure to pick me the best banana out of the bunch on their counter - kind. The manager was especially nice to our group of 4 (which included a toddler & a dog). The shaded outdoor seating was beyond great. Drinks took a little while but they are crazy busy; constant line around the building for their drive thru and a line of at least 5 people inside at all times. As much as I would like to justify my negative experience on the chaos of a typical Saturday morning, this time I simply cannot (especially after working in a couple different coffee spots). It was the morning of my best friend's wedding and we didn't order anything out of the ordinary. The bridesmaid before me ordered a mocha frappe with a cream base for her little girl and I a mocha frappe as is- no whip. However when I received my drink it tasted like a frozen hot chocolate. I waited patiently at the pick up area but seeing that there was no way I could possibly get the attention from the non-stop employees, I merely went to the cashier as she had no line. I told her that my tall mocha frappe indeed had no mocha/coffee in it and that they could just re-blend it with some coffee base or espresso shot and I would wait. She told me that I ordered a mocha frappe with cream base to then I told her my friend did, not I. She gave me some attitude and said, "Fine, I'll remake it for you..." which she made it personally herself (extra slow at that- no wonder she was a cashier). 2-3 minutes later she handed me my drink WITH WHIP and to my surprise it was the exact same drink I was made previously... no mocha... no coffee flavor, purely chocolate. I scooped off the whip cream in front of her and told her it did not taste like coffee which she was extremely short with me and said it was a mocha. I told her I will take it but will never return (as if she cares). After sharing this experience with the other bridesmaids in the car, they told me I should have pretended I was the bride and thrown a fit for the laugh of it. Too bad I am a terrible actress... that would have made a great snapchat or Instagram post. Get some better employees with better attitudes please.
