The cashier made a gesture implying she needed to hurry up, which felt unnecessarily dismissive especially when someone is simply trying to decide how they'd like to spend their hard-earned money. It's a shame, because local businesses thrive on positive interactions with their customers. Experiences like this make it much easier to understand why so many other coffee spots are opening throughout the AV and gaining loyal support. Needless to say, my family and I will be taking our coffee runs elsewhere moving forward. There barely seems to be any real espresso in the drinks. I came when it was not busy and got my drink in under two minutes. However, the person sitting next to me (with the cutest doggie! AMBIANCE AND ENVIRONMENT: The music volume was pretty good. It was low level when the place got busy due to people chatting, machines, ice scooping etc., but when it wasn't so busy, the level was about medium due to the atmosphere being more quiet. The vibes were Mumford and sons, Oasis, Of Monsters and Men, the Head and the Heart, and some classical sprinkled here and there. It is smaller than a chain, but cozy with quite a few seats and table options. I think they did a great job at making the best of the space. The space also encourages community as half of the seating options are shared/shareable. All within an arms reach, which in my personal opinion, is plenty of space.
