My first time here was around the holidays. I was driving on 101 to LA and it was pouring rain. Not sure why my GPS took me to this more out of the way Starbucks, but when I entered, it was so cozy and warm, and felt Christmassy. I don't always have high-hopes when I order a "dry" cappuccino, but the barista asked me how dry I wanted it (this is a good sign). The staff were really friendly and bubbly, and I was getting a nice festive cozy vibe, especially with all the rain outside. My cappuccino came out just the way I like it, with a nice dense marshmallowy-cream foam, which is not always expected at a Starbucks. I stopped into him at the Starbucks in Paso because it was the closest one to where I was at. I love the app so I was able to put a mobile order in so I was able to time my drink to be ready by the time I arrived. The store is located to the front of the street and further away from the Target. I know there is another Starbucks location inside the target but this one has a fully fledged Starbucks. The store looks a little bit smaller from the outside but on the inside it is deceptively bigger than it looks. The team here was very accommodating. There's nothing bad to report and everything was exactly what I thought it would be. Pretty straightforward visit for me but it was great and there wasn't anything to complain about. Ordered twice at this location- pink drink and iced matcha latte. Pink drink order was not made correctly; you can see the separation of the liquid ingredients and it did not taste right. Ordered light ice and had plenty of space from the top of the cup. Regrettably I didn't take a photo thinking it was a one off. Second order was iced matcha latte light ice- again, left plenty of space in the cup. It's understandable to have a little bit of space up top but this order has been clearly shorted. Was verbally attacked by an abrasive manager/worker for having a dog with me inside while I waited for my coffee to be made, less than 5 minutes. Was met with a very aggressive and harsh ousting because I had a dog. The temp was over 100 outside - so I suppose Starbucks recommends that you leave your dogs either outside in the heat or in your car in the heat... last time I check that was animal abuse, good to know Starbucks supports and condones animal abuse and neglect. Manager/worker needs professional training on how to interact with customers vice a full frontal of distain and hate. Well done, good thing I'm not from this area because I don't need to say I won't come back. read more

Every time I've come into this store they've gotten my order wrong, took 20 minutes to make my drink, or made the drink very poorly. The staff is also rarely helpful. I've come to this store over the years and the service and quality of the drinks has continued to go downhill. read more

This store always takes so long for orders in person. The drinks are made well but it it takes over 15 minutes every time. There will be 6 workers and staff standing around with a line out the door. You can never ever find a Starbucks, not.   Kidding aside, there everywhere...sometimes 2 on a given block, and certainly averages one every mile or so.  I usually like Starbucks because I know what to expect: clean, efficient, good WiFi, and all the usual "Starbucky things".  Thoughts of the coffee vary from "I love it" to "I hate it, they burn the beans".  I've grown fond of that "dark roast" flavor. COVID-19 phase: All about the challenges to get the rewards! =) Drive-thru taken and the worker was very nice! I ordered two tall nonfat sugar free cinnamon dolce lattes. There was no line. When I checked out the worker was kind, but she said my card was having issues to get the reward and the transaction complete so she gave me my drinks free and gave me a number to call to get my rewards. I called Starbucks customer service and the worker was very kind! Apologized for the error and gave me my rewards! Yippee!!! Oh and the cinnamon dolce latte was hot and delicious! so there were 3 behind the counter while I waited nearly 5 minutes for one of them to acknowledge my presence, I was the only customer - I understand being busy, a simple "we see you" would've gone a long way. When I finally received some counter service, was informed that "I just do the drive through (which was not busy)". Drinks were "short" and sub par, manager was a bit rude. Why am I reviewing a Starbucks? Well, for one, they got our order done perfectly (which does not always happen at other locations along 101). Second, the man working the cash register was so sweet and clarified our order, stating he wanted to get it exactly right. Third, it's a relief to find clean restrooms on any road trip. Outside of it being a smart location for a Starbucks everything here is lackluster. The interior of this Starbucks is like a giant after thought compared to other locations. Rickety chairs that are supposed to.. ricket? Um, cool I guess? Tables that are too high so that you can't comfortably sit in them. The tiniest sitting room area ever, but they do take full advantage of their outdoor patio (although a screen blocking the patio from the people ordering in the drive-thru would be great). It would also help if the staff regularly cleaned the bathrooms because the tiles were all marked up, the sink and toilet both looked like it could use a good cleaning. The customer service wasn't memorable at all. Usually at a Starbucks for myself, it's either completely amazing or just blah and this was neither. Hardly noteworthy. Did I feel like they were accommodating? Yeah, as long as they didn't have to try too hard. This place just sucked. The quality of my iced chai tea latte was good, but seriously. Well to start the line took forever at 7:30 pm at night, only one car In front of me and took about 20 mins for two females to make 2 drinks. I understand it can be stressful or hard if your new but I swear every time I come to this Starbucks they take forever and always get a drink wrong. We order two frappes , the first one they got totally wrong and gave us an iced drink then said oh sorry we gave you the wrong drink that was for a online order ... like wtf. Then the second frappe didn't taste like a mocha frappe at all it was super watery and the mocha sauce all over the cup ... like I come here once and awhile to splurge on a coffee at least take the time to make it right... I usually stop here when I'm traveling though Paso Robles. This is a very nice Starbucks. There's a ton of parking and the inside is very clean. Every time I visit my drink tastes wonderful. I usually get a mocha, iced coffee, or nitro cold brew. The service is great too. There's some seating outside. Ok so here's my problem with Starbucks: they are just a coffee version of a big "box store". Why not try a local place like Amsterdam Coffee House, it has a WAY better location (downtown Paso Robles, right near the park) and WAY better coffee and food! Also, it's a local company + it has one of those "everybody knows you're name" feeling (literally, if you are a regular customer, they learn your name). They are much friendlier, too! Now, about Starbucks. Now no offense, but to me being so close to a freeway that you are bracing yourself to be smashed by an oncoming car, isn't my idea of a nice morning coffee outing. And a few months ago they changed some of their baked goods, and now the new ones don't even compare to the old ones. So, go somewhere local and get better drinks & food, better atmosphere, and better service. But if you're in a serious hurry and just need your coffee fix, then at least this Starbucks is a drive-through. read more

One of the rare Starbucks drive thru locations. I haven't been inside the actual shop but I appreciate the convenience of the drive thru. They're pretty fast but the food options are more limited. I don't think they have the breakfast sandwiches. It's close to Target. Update: Actually, I just noticed two or three other Starbucks drive thru locations on the other side of the 101 (going north) on my way back from LA. I am so over Starbucks. However Starbucks is now kind of like McDonald's it's your Old Reliable place that you know will have exactly what you want for the rest of your life it's McStarbucks there's no other way to name it. You come here to get your regular coffee and hope that they don't crap out some political agenda on you and then you go about your way. I like Starbucks coffee it is a superior coffee. What I don't like is any place that I patronize to have a political agenda usually if they do I will move on. I'm not saying that I'm right wing and I'm not saying that I'm left-wing what I'm saying is that I don't want either one of those wings in my cup of coffee. And specifically I don't really want them on my cup either so I don't care what your Christmas cup is are your Easter cup or your summer cup or your winter cup or your fall cup or your Autumn cups since fall and has two names All I want is your coffee in a cup then in my mouth and if it's good I'll come back don't give me any of your other stuff 'cause I don't have time for that. They have been replaced by folks who do not know what they are doing. they can't even properly put the lid on hot coffee, and it spills in laps! Customer service is a foreign word here. I ordered a pastry - they just had to pull it from the case and hand It to me. I was told it would be right up. The person at the register kept taking other orders. When she called someone else to help her, I "saw" my order coming but no - he was instructed to add beans to a coffee machine. Even when there was no one else in line, no one made a move to fill my order. I got tired of waiting and asked for my money back. Had to wait for them (the person at the counter and her boss) to generate a refund slip and then i had to sign it (more time wasted). At no time did either apologize or ask if they could get my order for me. Suggest going someplace they want/appreciate your business. read more
