The Starbucks crew at this location are wonderful. They all address you by name if you're a regular, making you feel like they actually care. they are friendly and always ask what name /order you're waiting for to make sure you aren't waiting long. I was going to the Pittsford location and had some issues with the staff there. now I'm a regular this location and couldn't be happier. Thanks all for being amazing!!! read more

I'm here fairly often. I wish it had a drive thru, but it's a nice location. There's usually not a long line and your drinks are ready quickly. As I was ordering yesterday, I realized my Starbucks card was missing, and I didn't know I lost it until I'd gotten in line. I dug through my purse while I was ordering, but still couldn't find it. (My purse is an endless abyss of stuff I don't need...) So, I decided to pay from the app, which of course wouldn't open. It was just a blank screen. The cashier was very nice and patient with me and never made me feel rushed, and a woman did come in line behind me. I apologized to her, and she said she was still checking out the menu anyway. So my app eventually loaded and I was able to pay. All of this probably took like 3 minutes, but it felt like forever because I felt stupid for holding them up. So I'd recommend this location. I ordered a cold drink at this store and my cup was filled completely with ice. I would be surprised if there was even a 1/3 cup of liquid. I literally had 3 small tastes. I will always ask for no ice in the future! Also the person who waited on my was very unfriendly. A smile or thank you goes a long way. read more

This used to be my go-to location but have been disappointed with their drinks lately. Not sure what happened - last week they gave me a very bland refresher and today the drink was made incorrectly (dairy milk instead of almond milk and left out drizzle). There's really no excuse to get mobile orders wrong when it's spelled out on the sticker. Going to avoid this location for bit. read more

Never have brewed decaf coffee, when you ask for it at 7:45 am you get an eye roll. Pour overs are weak and americano taste watery. They say they don't sell it but if you never have it decaf people will go somewhere else. I would Rather go to Mello. Staff is nice, building clean and very well kept. read more

A solid Starbucks location depending on what you're looking for. If you're looking for a quick drink this location should be programmed into your gps. Looking for a place to sit and do work? Eh, try another location. This place is busy and noisy. The service here is top notch. I went in looking for a PSL but they were out of season. The woman at the counter suggested the perfect alternative. I loved my toasted white mocha and my boyfriend thought his tea was significantly better quality than tea offered at other chain coffee shops. Drinks come out quickly. This place has a classic Starbucks vibe. It almost feels as though I am in Seattle when I sit in here. It is clean, efficient, affordable, friendly, and has ample parking. I like the coffee, although I understand not everyone does. There is a large selection of items to accompany your coffee. I went at breakfast time and had the egg and cheese sandwich on whole wheat English muffin, which I later learned was nine weight watcher points. The little sandwich was a delightful accompaniment to my rich black dark roasted Italian grind coffee. What a nice start to my day ! read more

Stopped in yesterday to redeem my free drink. Total disappointment... My Decaf Grande Flat White with Almond milk was weak flavored for sure. Update 6/7/17 Purchased a Venti Flat White with extra shot of espresso and almond milk. I ended up throwing out that $6.32 beverage as it was watery and had virtually no flavor. Also the staff there are less than hospitable. Wish it wasn't so convenient to our residence otherwise I'd travel more frequently for a great cup of joe. read more

Yes, this is a Starbucks... Love them or hate them there is a time and place for them. Penfield Bux gets my coveted fifth star not because they have anything different than the other Starbucks but because of the service. Whether I'm popping in for a single Americano, or ordering a bunch to take to work they are fast and friendly. I always worry about holding up the line. They make me feel valued while also starting making drinks for those in the queue. Chains rarely get five stars in my book. Customer service is the key and these guys get it. This is my go to when my friends and I gear up for "field trips"....or those weekends where I don't want to make my own coffee. I am not that big of a snob to refuse burnt beans. I recently started fequenting this Starbucks when I had to travel out to Penfield daily. I have been to several Starbucks in the Rochester area since living here and this one is by far the best. There is a lot of seating, including leather chairs and tables with chairs for 2-4 people. The sitting area is divided from the ordering area by a half wall, which makes the seating area nicer. Compared to other Starbucks it appeared that there was more seating available. Additionally there is only a small area where there are items (cups, tea, etc) to purchase, compared to some stores where it overruns into the seating area. The staff are very friendly and try to keep the line moving, especially during the busy AM time. I don't think I have ever been there and not been greeted with a smile and nice small talk. Overall very efficent and friendly staff! There is a lot of parking, but no outdoor seating. Honestly I don't see any area where they could possibly have outdoor seating, but it would be nice. In the end I would (and do) sometimes travel out of my way to get my coffee here. I would highly recommend if you are passing through to give it a shot! read more

It's a pretty standard Starbucks as far as the set-up goes. No drive-thru, some outside seating, but not the greatest set-up for it. The indoor seating area is very nice and open, and not crowded by the merchandise shelves. The service here has always been very good, though I am a boring coffee drinker - just a black venti dark roast for me, thanks. From what I have seen, the baristas make the specialty coffees quickly, no one is left waiting for very long. The employees keep the line moving along nicely (when there is a line). I usually don't go to Starbucks but today I stopped at the Penfield location. The line was pretty long but moved at a good pace. They had 2 cashiers who greeted customers in a friendly manner and were very efficient. Another staff prepped food and quickly jumped in to help with drinks as soon as she could. The barista, David, paid special attention to his customers, going above and beyond to say hello to them by name (obvious repeat customers), send them on their way with a kind word, and in one instance taking the time to let a customer, who appeared to be in a hurry, know where his order was in the line up. All the while, David, interacted in a positive and cheerful manner with his coworkers, keeping the mood light and everyone working together as a team. read more

I hate to be that person who uses one situation to determine if I will go somewhere again, but tonight solidified that I will NOT be going to this Starbucks location again. I understand the location closes at 10, however the last time I was in late I was informed that they stop serving at 10:10. I pulled in a couple minutes before 10 to have the employee lock the door as I was walking up to it, and proceed to ignore as I knocked. There were at least 2 people working the closing shift, and I find it hard to believe that making one more drink would make their nights that much tougher. If it weren't for me just having this conversation in the same branch last week, I probably wouldn't be as upset... however I was specifically told that the ownership does not allow them to close early. read more

i heard that the penfield starbucks at 4 corners was talking about the amount of money i spend a week on these drinks and i'm a regular paying customer. I feel attacked by the people who are being extremely fake to my face then talking shit. According to a worker here they calculated the amount a week i spend. This is an invasion of my privacy and my spending habits. I would appreciate a refund of my money since according them i spend $70 a week. If this continues i will not be spending my money on starbucks (canceling my gold member acct) and transferring to dunkin right next door. If this continues i will be making a complaint to corporate. Stopped in for a little treat - the seasonal eggnog chai latte. Ordered two talls - got charged for grande x2 but didn't realize it until they were served. I told the barista they were the wrong size (too many calories) but he said, well that's what you got charged for , sorry. (Blame it on using the ap and not real money). Neither were hot, but the place was busy with all the teens who just got gift cards for the holidays - never seen so many double chocolate fraps made at once. We did find a seat and tried to enjoy the moment. The place was only getting busier and louder so we decided to leave. It was getting to be about 4:00 which means sunset around here. As we stepped outside the sidewalk was in the dark and getting icy, so I went back to tell someone inside. The response was - ya, that happens when it gets wet. Really? I know this is winter, but a little de-icer might be a better solution. Of course, if I fell I might get a latte a day for life. I miss the lack of SB's since I moved back here. And I really miss the lack of drive-thru ones. But if this is the best- maybe next time I'll try the Dunken Doughnuts right next door. ... And that's a shame being a gold star member read more
