The good: They have a large outdoor area with a fire pit. They are right by the ocean so the view is amazing. It is definitely a nicer Starbucks to visit especially if you want to sit and chat with friends. I came here and got my free birthday drink (which can be any size you want!). I got a venti mango dragonfruit lemonade. The service was quick. Inside, they sold a lot of cute merchandise including a tumbler with a strap so you could wear like a purse. The bad: The drink was sweeter than it needed to be but was nice once the ice melted. The interesting: They're in a plaza with Trader Joes so it was nice to get a drink and then do grocery shopping. There's plenty of parking.

I'm still extremely confused...I was shopping in the plaza (TJ's) when in got the urge to use the restroom so as I have plenty of times I went to Starbucks asked the girls if I could use the restroom and they said sure, but right after this guy cuts me off (shift leader Charlie) to tell me I have to shop in order to use the restroom, so I just agree and he takes me to the register where I ask the second girl "hey I just need to use to the restroom I need to buy the cheapest thing" ...she even gives me a confused look before starting to tell me that a "Tea Ba...." ..and boom Charlie again "the cheapest thing is Cream Cheese and it's $1.75" and the girl look at him and says "no he can buy a tea bag for $0.30" and he clearly gets upset and says "give him a tea bag than"...anyways I pay and he goes behind me, when I was done he went to the restroom right after me ... for what ? Idk ... I'm just confused as why he was sooo angry and desperate to charge me when no one else seemed to be so militant about it. CHARLIE deff needs some HOSPITALITY classes or a new job. He seems like he would fit in great with BP ! SMH

They messed up my order. I am severely lactose intolerant and had ordered caramel machioto with almond milk. First the barista took a while to make my coffee and she in a jiffy possibly ended up putting regular milk instead of almond milk. That evening was miserable and I ended up having severe diarrhoea & cramps. I plan to go to small courts to lodge damages for physical agony & mental trauma.

Service was great my tea was awesome but I had a sit and fall on the patio. As I moved my seat back the leg of my chair went into the drainage and down I went. Hot tea went everywhere. My sister and few others enjoying their drinks and the atmosphere came to assist me. I spoke with the lead person on shift June 22, 2025 and explained what happened. He was very apologetic. This review is to call attention to this hazard before someone is seriously injured. This is very concerning!!

my favorite starbucks! huge patio with the BEST view of just a portion of the pacific ocean! i used to come here after my hikes every wknd just to grab coffee and sit and relax and enjoy the view the service is great here especially since it is a very very high traffic store. this visit i ordered the iced hazelnut oatmilk shaken espresso. pretty delicious. parking: located in the golden cove shopping center no issues with parking. it does get busy on the wknds. but usually spots avail further away, closer to the peninsula montessori school

This Starbucks location is one of favorite. Not only for their coffee and teas, and service but also for the amazing view of the Pacific ocean. A Starbucks that you must visit.

This was my first time visiting this Starbucks location on Palos Verdes after doing that scenic drive many times. It was busier than usual, even for Starbucks, but they account for that with a large staff that is good about getting drinks done in a timely manner. My barista specifically asked if I was waiting for something when she saw me sit down, and she got it out to me within like two minutes. I thought that was nice. My favorite part of this Starbucks was definitely the outdoor patio, which has ample seating - including a firepit with five seats around it - all of it overlooking the ocean. I was here at 9 AM, so it was too early for the sun to come out, but yeah, the patio view here is something else. Parking is easy too, as there is a whole grocery lot behind it if you can't find spots right by the Starbucks itself. A rare five stars on account of the fantastic location and the quick service!

I ordered an Affogato with a vanilla bean gelato and a small scoop of the Chai tea latte gelato. The Affogato was served in a small plastic cup with plastic spoon. The small scoop of gelato was served in a small paper cup with an even smaller plastic spoon. Both were delicious. The consistency of the gelato is smooth, as expected. Service was friendly and efficient. My order was ready and I was rung up in minutes. Parking: Free, shared shopping center.

Our food was good, I ordered Linguine with Shrimp Prawns which I have to add they were not large, same size as a regular shrimp with tail and head. It was good but a little disappointing. Italian salad was ok, table bread was good and. So was the beer . I opted to go for beer instead of Wine . The homemade Tiramisu was Phenomenal a must try. Just for context, it was my niece's high school graduation. A day to celebrate, turned into something that made me want to write this review. We came in around 730pm, a group of 10 that had an 8pm reservation. We were hoping to get seated early but didn't expect it if it wasn't available. No biggie, but 2 large groups went in ahead right when they were going to give us the menus and the other parties got in first. Didn't really start the right way already. But moving on. We were seated outside (we didn't request a specific inside/outside) so no expectation, but the patio was cold and we asked for a heater (which they had in view) and another party requested the drapes to be opened (which is fine) but we could've used the heater and it didn't come for another 30mins. When the heater did come, it wasn't turned on for a long while and when it did get turned on, it was blazing hot and we asked a staff to turn it down. The guy turned it off. All in all it was yet again another interesting interaction. Then comes the ordering, the restaurant has daily specials and the regular menu. The waiter went around and described the specials and when we asked about the prices (the regular menu had prices) the waiter said it was a secret. Maybe it was an attempt to be humorous, but after clarifying we wanted to know the prices the waiter asked which one and had a weird reaction to our question. It was all awkward and came off very off-putting. One of the water glasses had a bug in it and we asked for a replacement. Twice. The waiter didn't replace it for along time and then he said he didn't know we were asking for a replacement. The water glass that was put in as a replacement had fingerprints, and smears on the glass and at that point we didn't want to bother. We showed it to the waiter and he was apologetic and said they ran out of glasses. (Does that mean they're giving us dirty glasses bc they ran out?) We ordered a couple of items and I think there was a misunderstanding on the order and they brought out something that we mentioned we wanted but ultimately didn't order. A busser put put the calamari on the table and we told them we canceled it. The busser graciously took it away but the waiter put it back on the table. We told him we didn't order that and he actually argued with us that we did order it. He smirked when he took it away. We ordered items and the food started coming in after 40mins. (It was busy so understandable). But it was important to note that we ordered pretty quickly and our dishes came so late while other tables next to us had their food served quicker. We didn't order anything that requires elaborate time to prepare. When the food did come, the pizza came out cold but at that point we were just done with the place. They did comp the pizza, and told me that I should've said something so they can reheat the pizza. But the culmination of our experience overall really made us not even try to call the waiter. Some of the items were decent, but it is really hard to appreciate the food when the service felt like the food was served with a side of rude. Overall it was a pretty horrible experience and would never recommend this place.
