The good: They have a large outdoor area with a fire pit. They are right by the ocean so the view is amazing. It is definitely a nicer Starbucks to visit especially if you want to sit and chat with friends. I came here and got my free birthday drink (which can be any size you want!). I got a venti mango dragonfruit lemonade. The service was quick. Inside, they sold a lot of cute merchandise including a tumbler with a strap so you could wear like a purse. The bad: The drink was sweeter than it needed to be but was nice once the ice melted. The interesting: They're in a plaza with Trader Joes so it was nice to get a drink and then do grocery shopping. For such a nice location with a stunning view this Starbucks is usually neglected when it comes to being clean. Maybe they need more staff- it is a very busy spot. Also management needs to replace the sink- the spray enamel chipping looks gross and a great way for germs to accumulate quickly. Visited this coffee venue again this weekend and was surprised to see some new patio furniture as well as a new floor arrangement. There's no doubt about it this has to be the most picture perfect location for any business. One issue is that the toilet is a health hazard-- so please make sure you talk to the staff to see if they can do something about keeping their toilets clean. read more

I'm still extremely confused...I was shopping in the plaza (TJ's) when in got the urge to use the restroom so as I have plenty of times I went to Starbucks asked the girls if I could use the restroom and they said sure, but right after this guy cuts me off (shift leader Charlie) to tell me I have to shop in order to use the restroom, so I just agree and he takes me to the register where I ask the second girl "hey I just need to use to the restroom I need to buy the cheapest thing" ...she even gives me a confused look before starting to tell me that a "Tea Ba...." ..and boom Charlie again "the cheapest thing is Cream Cheese and it's $1.75" and the girl look at him and says "no he can buy a tea bag for $0.30" and he clearly gets upset and says "give him a tea bag than"...anyways I pay and he goes behind me, when I was done he went to the restroom right after me ... for what ? Bad customer service. A cashier was a lady who was wearing eyeglass she looks grumpy and slow. I ordered classic matcha latte with syrups but it came out non sweet. Asked this guy if classic is old one which is sweet and regular is non sweet. He kept asking if we need more syrups. How can't you even answer for the simple question ? I like the availability of seating and desk added to this location and the employees are pretty nice. Except the one day I visited there was a female employee who was constantly anxious and complaining about what she needs to do and comparing the Starbucks she works at to this Starbucks routine. Constant complaints. You would think she is a permanent but even the way she talks to other employees who are regulars could feel it. It's hard not too. Again we go every Saturday. last night the place was very busy as usual and only 2 people working???? The BARISTA young woman was moving back and forth from that work to the register for orders! A nice smaller Starbucks, actually one of the few in the area. Service and selection is excellent. Inside seating is limited to under 20 persons. Since this is located on Palos Verdes Dr., the outdoor seating at times of day can be directly exposed to both wind and sun without protective barriers available. The south side of the building is the most sheltered, but doesn't actually have tables and seating along that side so you can relocate a chair or two for your own purposes. This was my first time visiting this Starbucks location on Palos Verdes after doing that scenic drive many times. It was busier than usual, even for Starbucks, but they account for that with a large staff that is good about getting drinks done in a timely manner. My barista specifically asked if I was waiting for something when she saw me sit down, and she got it out to me within like two minutes. I thought that was nice. My favorite part of this Starbucks was definitely the outdoor patio, which has ample seating - including a firepit with five seats around it - all of it overlooking the ocean. I was here at 9 AM, so it was too early for the sun to come out, but yeah, the patio view here is something else. Parking is easy too, as there is a whole grocery lot behind it if you can't find spots right by the Starbucks itself. 5/12/22 Whenever the mood strikes to just drive somewhere scenic & wonderful and to grab a sweet caffeinated drink, this place is the best bet (only in competition with Malaga Cove's area at the market or by Yellow Vase). This Starbucks has the corner market in terms of the view. It's a great place to hang out indoors & especially outdoors. I ordered the Toasted vanilla oat milk shaken espresso, it was a wonderful surprise because it actually tasted delicious. Tried to sip & savor but I had to stop myself from guzzling it down. Starbucks is consistent. You know exactly what you'll get. You come here as one goes to a McDonald's...it's for the convenience. The coffee.... Fine. The breakfast sandwiches...fine The service.... Fair. When I went they were out of all the drip coffee. Sort of strange as this is a coffee shop...yes? The wait for the coffee and a sandwich was pretty robust (ok, coffee pun). It finally came. This is one of the most unique and beautiful Starbucks that I have ever been to! We visited on Mother's Day, and it was surprisingly not crowded! We were able to secure a table in the outside seating overlooking the beach. It was honestly so beautiful and the perfect temperature as well. Do be mindful that it is pretty windy, so bring a jacket. They also have a fireplace that around 8 people can sit around but it was occupied. However, it'd be perfect for colder days. We ordered a chocolate almond latte, matcha, Strawberry Acai Refresher, and a cup of water. They were very accommodating for adjustments; we ordered the latte and the matcha tall but in grande cups with light ice, and the matcha we got with oat milk and they were able to nail all of our customizations! Such good customer service, and the inside of the Starbucks is usually not as crowded as the outside, but you still get a pretty beautiful view. The store is also clean and the outside seating is well maintained. If it is super crowded, you can probably sit over at the Subway, since it was les crowded than the Starbucks on the day we went. They also have a bathroom inside which is very clean, and the staff is super polite as well. We sat there for around 2 hours or so, enjoying the view and it was the perfect way to spend Mother's Day! An awesome experience, and one of a kind Starbucks. We ordered a chai tea latte, iced caramel macchiato, & a spinach and feta wrap. We got a hot caramel macchiato instead of an iced one after about 20 mins of waiting. But I don't really blame the workers there, it was super crowded with probably 30 people waiting... I don't expect them to get every single order right. I've actually incorporated this into my health care routine which includes colon cleansing using Oleato. Congratulations starbucks.
