This Starbucks continues to be my favorite location in the entire chain because of the friendly baristas, quick preparation of beverages and now that they've brought back indoor seating the ambiance is on pointe too! I've also consistently had great experiences with the baked goods and breakfast sandwiches there. If anyone from the Starbucks company reads this review I want to thank you for bringing back cozy indoor seating to this location. Your stores are a big part of what creates community in any area. I drove to Starbucks at 18308 Hawthorne Boulevard in Torrance. I intended to have lunch and prepare for a meeting. There was no place to sit down at a table... It was "cash and carry only" One of the baristas said that there were plans to remodel so that people would have a place to sit down. I'm disappointed. "Back in the day," I could go to a Starbucks sit down, have something to eat and drink as there were plenty of tables and chairs. Starbucks has changed their "business model." It's not welcoming anymore. It apparently only wants to push their product and have and have the customer leave. I believe this is my last "rodeo" at Starbucks. There are plenty of other businesses that serve coffee and have food. And, encourage customers to relax and spend some time there. Starbucks "has gone great south." read more

Hardest-working Starbucks in the South Bay. Some of the best managers I've seen. They're personable, kind, and constantly hustling. The team keeps things moving, so the wait is never too long, and they truly go out of their way for loyal customers. I always enjoy the atmosphere and how welcomed I feel when I'm here. I don't get to Torrance often and was pleasantly surprised by the nice, relaxed vibe and excellent service at this Starbucks. I was also drawn to the cylindrical building design while riding my bike checking the area out. Everything was fine but I am compelled to drop one star since there is no seating inside or outside this location and I always like to sit down while enjoying my Java, especially as a break from miles of bicycling. There is a nice bike rack a few stores down from the SB in the same center. Recommended. read more

I ordered on the mobile app so I would not have to wait. But, once I got there the door was closed when on the Starbucks app and Google maps it said that they closed until 10pm. Be aware l got there at 9pm. Every time I tried to communicate to this lady with red and green colored hair through the glassed door, that I was picking up a mobile order, she wouldn't look over and when she did, she would immediately tell me they were closed and it even seemed she was giving attitude. After a while, she finally saw I was making the motion that I was picking up a mobile order and mouthed, that I had to go through the drive thru when my drinks were already on the counter. After waiting 15 min though the drive thru, I finally got my drinks. The lack of of GOOD costumer service and acknowledge is incredibly low. Was the worst Starbucks experience I have ever had because I felt unheard and ignored. Won't be coming back to this Starbucks location. read more

I live close by and I always order from here. My advice is order ahead and pick up drink from inside. Drive thru takes a lot longer when the line revolves around the store. The hours of operation is great, they open around 4:30am if I recall. I used to clock-in at 5am at my job so whenever they didn't see my mobile order, I was late to work. They recently remodeled this location. There's no more chairs and the tables are too small. You cannot sit inside at all. Very disappointed in the new layout. Employees are nice. They used to remember my name when I used to come everyday. read more

I'd give more stars for staff friendliness because their workers are upbeat and wonderful, but I need to give 1 for my overall experience today unfortunately... and in hopes that this will catch the attention of higher management and they would consider policy change. First of all, instead of automatically giving me my change back after receiving my cash for the order, the cashier asked if I wanted it back. I was going to tip anyways, but you should never assume and always hand the change back without asking if they want their change. Let the guest tell you to keep it. That wasn't really a big deal to me, but worth mentioning because it's just proper service industry etiquette. I ordered a pistachio cream cold brew and got the cup and there was not a lot of foam for being a venti size. Not an issue- it's a personal taste thing, so I asked for more foam on the side. They said they weren't allowed to do that because it all needed to be in one cup. After that I said, "no worries I can pay extra for another cup with some cold foam." Then they rejected me again and said they wouldn't do it. I was SHOCKED that I couldn't even PAY EXTRA for the amount of cold foam that I wanted. I was literally a PAYING CUSTOMER offering to pay more for extra product (that honestly should have already been in the cup in the first place)! What happened to making sure the guest is happy and satisfied? Especially if the guest isn't being super unreasonable? I'm let down by Starbucks today. Staff is typically friendly, and drive thru lines are fairly quick here. However, today felt rushed and this is the second time in a row I've been here where the order was wrong - 2 of my 3 drinks this time. I'll take partial blame for not checking that my drink had soy when it came up on the screen before I pulled forward but I wish I had checked before I pulled away. This was a quick coffee stop while driving from home to West LA. Since I was in a rush, I hit up the drive thru. Fortunately, the line was not long, and the line flowed pretty quick. I got my usual nitro cold brew, which I had in hand in less than five minutes from when I got in line. My drink was exactly what I expected it to be, and gave me the energy I needed to carry on with my day. This Starbucks location is located in south Torrance, close to Redondo Beach and the PV peninsula. It is one of several I frequent when I need a quick cup of Joe for the road. The place is clean, run efficiently, and staffed with nice people. The area is a safe, family-friendly place. Whether you're a south bay local like me, or visiting, this Starbucks is one of many great coffee shops from which to chose. read more

This place is terrible. Walked in here. Tons of employees, no customers in sight. No one greeted me or my wife. We had to use the restroom. They were completely out of toilet paper and seat covers. There were 5 paper towels left. There was trash on the bathroom floor. This is absolutely unacceptable. You had enough staff coverage to check the bathroom and clean and refill it. read more

Tried the Nitro cold brew with salted honey cold foam for the first time here. It's really good! Drive thru is fast and service is friendly. My drink was delicious. It wasn't that sweet, and I could barely taste a hint of honey at the bottom of the cup. I drank my drink pretty fast to still have the foam in every sip. I wonder if it goes flat if you let it sit out for a while. read more

He did & barista (not girl who took order) told him in a soft tone-condescending kinda manner, in future to ask for it while taking order before driving to pay & that the other person (the girl who took our order) should have asked us. First of all, maybe you (him) should direct that at her, not us. Secondly, seriously dude? You're scolding us? Not a good impression. It is the closest location, we'll probably go back, but if we keep getting unnecessary remarks or lack customer service, definitely going to the other surrounding locations. When they first came out back in late 90s/early 2000s, the service was great. It was solid. I specifically came for the sick Tea. Every other Starbucks in the area did not have it so I was already upset. I came to this Starbucks and they let me know that they were out of the tea bags that make the tea. I was ready to leave when they stopped me and told me they could try and make something similar. Confused and shocked, I agreed and waited for them to make this mystery tea. When they called my name, I grabbed the drink and tried it right away. It obviously didn't taste the same as my citrus mint tea but it was pretty similar. I was happy with how they immediately came up with a solution and didn't just turn me away. I'll start by saying that I usually go to Coffee Bean because I like their customer service and how sweet their drinks are. Today, I went to Starbucks specifically for the drive-thru, but unfortunately there were 9 cars in the drive-thru so I just went in. The customer service wasn't anything to write home about. I wasn't greeted upon entering or thanked as I left. As I picked up my drink I thanked the lady who made it and she ignored me. Although pretty tasty, my drink level was extremely low. When I grabbed it, it only felt half-full. With whipped cream considered, it pretty much was. Kind of a waste of money paying for a medium but only getting a small. I had to take 2 stars out because of the mustached barista who gave me an attitude. I placed a mobile order, when I got there my order was out. I ordered doppio with 4 SHOTS! And venti double chocolate chip with NO WHIP CREAM. Well... My 4 shot was just a double. They didn't even have a printed lable, had just my name. When I told the barista, he was acting like he would just give me 2 more shots. Correct me if I am wrong, but I ordered 4 shots!!
