I come here almost weekly. My husband and I like the drinks and it's a little treat that we look forward to. This morning I brought our drinks home, took the lid off to pour into a different cup, and found a hair poking through. I pulled at it and was disgusted and dumped it out. It'll be a while before I feel comfortable coming back here, if ever. Check your drinks before sipping!

Matcha latte with caramel drizzle
Paulla L.

I Drove to this coffee bean and tea leaf today. I ordered a blended matcha latte. The customer service was awesome. However the drink was terrible; it was watered down and flavorless. I requested a new drink. The barista said sure, I mentioned that the flavor was watered down. She then says , honestly I added too much milk so I added more ice. ( I'm like, did she really say that?) However the 2nd drink was delicious. My suggestion is to taste your drink before leaving the coffee shop. The restaurant was clean and well kept.

I don't usually go to Coffee Bean but I had some gift cards to use! I'll definitely be back- I was surprised at how much I liked my drink! I got a hot white chocolate latte. The inside was also pretty nice & there were a lot of people studying inside. Our cashier was also so friendly & helpful!

Pumpkin americano
Katelyn W.

I came here for a quick pick me up and wanted to try their new fall flavors. I ordered the dry iced pumpkin americano only to have my cup filled to the brim with ice and hardly any liquid inside. The texture of the americano was creamy and rich in pumpkin and espresso flavor, but I was upset about how little I got when I asked to sub out the half and half and caramel drizzle (still paid full price, which is valid).

I've email them but I get no respond. 4th attempt.

I attempted to order a drink through the app, but encountered an error message after using a virtual coffee bean gift card, so I gave up. A few hours later, I discovered that the order had been completed. I called the location but received no answer. I also sent 2 emails, but did not receive a response... What am I just here giving out free money? Worst customer service and management experience ever.

Cute shop with lovely staff. I was given an excellent recommendation…read more The turon banana with banana foam is perfection if you like banana bread, caramel, and coffee flavors. It is a well crafted dessert coffee. Lots of places have flavored drinks that either feel like the coffee is incidental/nonexistent, or they feel like coffee with a La Croix hint of whatever flavor is advertised. The Amai banana turon, on the other hand, is beautifully balanced. It's like eating a slice of salted caramel banana bread while drinking a latte. Both flavors are fully present and complement each other. I usually avoid foam, since I can find the texture unappealing, especially when it feels close to bubble bath suds. The foam at Amai is thick and creamy and genuinely added to the drink.

This review is regarding a visit on June 1 between approximately 12:10 PM and 12:30 PM…read more I am leaving this feedback as a regular customer who has purchased different matcha drinks from this business on multiple occasions. I have consistently enjoyed visiting this location, which is why I am sharing this experience in detail rather than simply not returning. On this visit, I ordered the House Matcha with almond milk and paid $7.75. The drink was significantly underfilled, which resulted from my request for no ice. While I understand that removing ice can affect volume, the amount of empty space at the top of the cup made it feel like I received less than a full drink despite paying the full price. In addition, I was charged for an almond milk substitution, which further contributed to the expectation of a properly filled drink. The cup size also raised concerns. I recently ordered a Banana Cream Matcha at the same price point and received a noticeably larger cup. On this visit, the House Matcha was served in a smaller cup, and even the sleeve did not fit correctly. The combination of a smaller cup and reduced fill level created an inconsistency in value that was immediately noticeable. The most significant issue was that the drink contained no sweetness at all. The House Matcha is described as "perfectly sweet matcha" and includes agave syrup, so it is reasonable to expect sweetness as part of the standard preparation. Instead, the drink was completely unsweetened. There was no communication during ordering that sweetness needed to be selected separately, and in prior visits I have never been asked about sweetness level. This is also not the first time I have received a matcha drink without sweetness despite it being described otherwise. By the time I realized, I had already left the store and was unable to return due to time commitments, and it does not feel reasonable that multiple preparation issues should require a return visit. It is also concerning that there is no clear pricing listed next to the different matcha options in the matcha section of the menu. The lack of visible prices makes it difficult to understand the cost of each drink at the point of ordering and reduces transparency for customers. From a broader perspective, consistency issues across cup size, fill level, and recipe execution affect the overall experience. I regularly purchase specialty drinks and would be comfortable paying $7.75 if the product consistently matched the menu description, portioning was accurate, and expectations were clearly communicated at the point of sale. As someone who visits this plaza several times per month, I would genuinely like to continue supporting this business and have consistently positive experiences. That depends on clearer communication, more consistent preparation standards, and attention to detail during both ordering and fulfillment. At home, I am able to prepare matcha easily using a variety of milks, including almond, oat, coconut, cashew, pistachio, banana, and pea protein, along with simple sweeteners such as agave, maple syrup, honey, and organic brown sugar. I also keep ingredients such as whipped cream, sea salt, strawberries on hand, blueberries, and mango, allowing me to make specialty drinks like strawberry matcha, blended matcha with frozen strawberries, or other customized variations. Because of that, the value of a café drink comes down to consistency, accuracy, and convenience rather than ingredients alone. If issues such as inconsistent cup sizes, underfilling, missing ingredients, or unclear customization options are occurring across orders, it may point to a need for improved staff training and clearer standardization. Addressing these areas would likely improve the experience for both regular and first-time customers. I hope this feedback is received as constructive input from a returning customer meant to improve overall customer satisfaction and repeat business.

My friend and I stood in line for about 15 minutes, and once we ordered, our drinks were ready in less than five minutes. I chose the lavender matcha, and I was impressed by how well the two flavors balanced each other. Neither overpowered the other, making for a smooth and enjoyable drink. My friend ordered the hibiscus lemonade and found it light and refreshing. One of the best parts of visiting is being able to enjoy your drinks in the spacious outdoor seating area around The Enclave. Prices were reasonable at around $6-$7 per drink, and the cashier was friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was a great experience, and I can see why this spot is so popular.

Today, we were on our way to Orange County and wanted to grab some coffee along the way. The shop is located in a really cute center with a great ambiance. There always seems to be a line, which is usually a good sign. The staff does a fairly good job serving a large number of customers, but despite that, it still took us about 20-30 minutes to get our order. The coffee was good, but not great--definitely not the best I've had. I hate writing negative reviews, but I wanted to share my honest experience and break it down individually. We ordered a flat white, which was crafted nicely, so I would give that a 5/5. As for the taste of the coffee itself, I thought it was average and would rate it a 3/5. My wife enjoyed it a bit more and would give it a 4/5. One thing I did not like was the milk they use. It is the cheapest milk you can buy, and I personally feel that a gourmet coffee shop should invest in higher-quality milk. For that reason, I would give the milk a 1/5. Ratings: * Coffee Craftsmanship: 5/5 * Coffee Taste: 3/5 (4/5 according to my wife) * Milk Quality: 1/5 * Ambiance: 5/5 * Service: 4/5 Overall, I would rate it a 3.5 out of 5. I personally lean closer to a 3, but my wife insists it deserves a 4, so I'll settle on 4 stars since there isn't a 3.5-star option. I think it's worth trying for yourself and forming your own opinion. In my personal view, the coffee and overall experience were not worth the wait, but it may be worth visiting at least once to see what all the hype is about.

Whether you're craving a perfectly brewed coffee, a refreshing fruit tea, or a decadent boba drink, this is the spot. I'll definitely be coming back on the regular. Highly recommend!

I'm not a fan of coffee so I'm always deciding between their mochi, fresh fruit, or iced teas etc. My go-to drinks are the Yuzu Citrus No. 8 and Jasmine Frost Iced Tea (less sweet for both options). The Yuzu Citrus has the perfect amount of tang with a slight sweetness that cuts through the acidity. The tea flavor manages to shine through the fruitiness, and overall the flavors pair well with one another. The Jasmine Frost Iced Tea is very aromatic and brewed to really highlight the Jasmine. My boyfriend normally gets the mochi mango which has soft chunks of mochi mixed, and tart/sweet mango puree. I appreciate how the smoothie is never icy, and has a creamy texture. There are plenty of seating options for people, whether it's socializing or studying. It gets pretty busy and wait-times can vary greatly; I would recommend ordering ahead of time. The staff members are friendly and helpful. The only issue I have with the spot is that the drinks do tend to be on the more expensive side, with drinks ranging from $7-9. The matcha drinks are also not the highest quality, and often the matcha tastes quite diluted. Overall a solid spot!

Seriously, be careful. If you're sensitive to caffeine, do not underestimate this place. That being said, I cannot get over how good the tea is. I've tried a lot of boba shops and nothing else really compares. The tea actually tastes like tea. Every time I try another place, I end up wishing I had just come here instead. Their fruit teas are amazing too. The lemon tea in particular is one of my favorite drinks. It's like an elevated Arizona iced tea but made with actual quality ingredients. Super refreshing, not overly sweet, and perfect on a hot day. My only complaint is the service. The employees can be a little sassy, and the speed is honestly ridiculous sometimes. I've waited over 30 minutes for a drink with only a couple of people ahead of me. I understand good drinks take time, but there are definitely efficiency issues that need to be addressed. That's what makes this so frustrating. I love this place. The drinks are so good that I keep coming back despite the service problems. I really hope management invests in better training and smoother operations because the product itself is easily 5 stars. Please fix the wait times. I am begging. They only say your name and the name is on the screen when ready. Doesn't tell you if their brewing your tea, but the app does. The app also didn't tell me my drink was ready. Not sure if that was a glitch. They don't have a lot of seats because you kind of share the seats with the rest of the mall it seems. Can't really sit and enjoy the drink there. Service was good even though it was busy. The cashier was patient with me with the app and gave me the discount after I scanned the code. I would come back and order another drink to try to see if they're just as good. Just wished there was one closer to me in the SGV.
