I stopped in here to get a Macchiato and to have a little time to myself to read. It was pretty busy inside and a new person was still in training. After waiting a few minutes and everyone behind me already gone another young woman noticed me waiting so she checked on the person making my drink, since he seemed to be having a little trouble she happily took the macchiato he was trying to make and dumped it and started over again showing him how it was done. I'm so happy she did start over again to make sure my drink was just as I had ordered and expected it to be. ( to keep it vegan you just hold the caramel drizzle and use soy milk) read more

Worst Starbucks. 4 on staff with three meandering around. The cashier in loooooong small town gossip conversation with a couple while more people wait. The poor barista was a slow goer but at least he kept to his surmounting order tasks one drink at a time. As the board food person finally asked me if I was doing a pre-order pick up she handed me my food "your drink will be right up." How long could an ice coffee take. After about 15 minutes as I watched the lone - slow motion- barista making yet another drink that was not mine, I finally inserted my way between the customers and the blonde chatty employee who had apparently nothing more to do than that. "How long for my iced coffee?" I asked. She turned to the lackadaisical barista and said "it should be up soon." He pointed out to the blonde female chatty counterpart "it's right behind you." Where it had been for ten minutes or so, ice melting and watering the long completed concoction down. "Here it is!" She said as she handed it to me before resuming her conversation. In my car as I took my first bite of my tepid oatmeal I decided to compose this warning. Get your coffee elsewhere. I love this Starbucks! The location is kind of weird but it was one of the first Starbucks in Reno. It's kind of an off to the side lot of a larger shopping center and doesnt have a drive thru. Theres lots of parking though and the staff is very friendly. Just a heads up, this location can get very, very busy when there are conventions at the event center nearby. If this location is busy, I sometimes drive behind the Walmart to the Starbucks on Lakeside which has a drive thru and is very close. read more

I am ETERNALLY grateful to Manager, Chad, and this team for their kindness and unyielding integrity!! He completely transformed a very stressful situation and saved the day!!! After enjoying a wonderful morning beverage before heading back home (to ANOTHER STATE!), I inadvertently left my purse behind and didn't realize it until I was unloading the car, 2 hours later!! I had an absolute pit in my stomach, worried my purse (and all of the essential belongings within) would never be recovered. I immediately called the store and was connected to Chad. Needless to say, I was ecstatic when he confirmed he had my purse! Knowing I could not reasonably come back and retrieve my purse, Chad quickly committed to keeping it safe and shipping it to my home address within a couple days. My purse and I were reunited today, YAAAAAAAY! Chad went the extra mile to help me in a moment of profound need and his act of kindness will not be forgotten! Today we got two kids size chai teas, one vanilla latte, one cold brew. One of the kids chais was milk and the other had chai, I told the cashier and asked for a cup to mix the two together so they could each have some of the chai mix, she gave me the cup without offering to fix their drinks. The cold brew ended up being a nitro which we did not want. Never had this kind of experience with Starbucks. read more

Spent a little morning time here today. There was a couple studying with laptops and I had planned to do some professional writing before heading off to Noon appointment. The staff members were friendly and welcoming (like you expect at Starbuck's). I arrived about 10:15 a.m. The only complaint I have is the loud disco music playing while I was trying to get some work done. Ugh. How about some chill/lounge music in the a.m.?? We live right down the street, so this is usually our go to place, but it is not consistent, by any means. We order the same thing every time. I get iced coffee with just a touch of coconut milk. Sometimes I'm charged to extra, sometimes I'm not. No big deal, but it is annoying when I ask about it, and now I'm the jerk because they're not consistent on their register. What really upset me about this location was my fiancé always gets iced coffee with classic syrup and some half and half. Easy enough, right? The last time we went, they didn't add any creamer, and directed him to their condiment bar. Every other time they've added it, why not this time? The girl not adding the creamer prompted me to ask if the classic was in there. All of a sudden, I'm the jerk for questioning her barista abilities. "Uh, yeah! You ordered it that way!" We also ordered it with creamer, sweetheart. I'm more than happy going out of the way to a different location when I see certain employees working. 1000am 7/16/14- The staff- one girl in particular is soooooo loud and obnoxious - laughing loudly and yelling with her co-workers, I couldn't stand the noise level or the flippant approach when I ordered my coffee. The store was also not very clean - I counted four dirty tables and dusty window sills. It seems this Starbucks staff is more interested in being loud and goofing off than serving customers.... It's Starbucks - what do you expect? The GF and I end up here a fair amount as they stay open late - 11 PM most nights, 12:30 on weekends - so she can study, while I write Yelp reviews, read a bit, catch up on email, knock out a bit of code, etc. As with most Starbucks, the tables are small, and more conducive to sitting and chatting with a friend, rather than working on laptops, though there are outlets every 18" or so along the south windows. The table layout is such that there are two lines - one against the south windows, the other running parallel to it. If you're sitting at one of the 5 inner tables, you'll need to stretch your cord across if you need an outlet, though it works fine. Tables are usually about half occupied with people studying and using laptops. There's a patio space as well, though as we're usually working on our laptops, we rarely sit out there. Staff is friendly enough - I got my large dark roast free tonight since they had just started another batch of drip and they felt bad about my having to wait a few minutes. read more

I can't not love a place that always is air conditioned, has good drinks, and is ideal for getting work done or just chatting with friends. Service here was always great! read more

The people at this starbucks are very friendly. When I walk in on a sunny morning, they are cheery and happy to help. Most of them rememeber my name, which is not an easy one for most. This location is always clean and never has a long line (at least at the time of day I end up going). Lots of parking, and a cute little patio to sit on outside. Some other locations feel smaller, but this location has plenty of room to sit and read, do homework, or visit with friends. read more

I have only been to this location a few times, but I have consistently received shockingly wonderful customer service, and from different cashiers/baristas too. Employees here just seem happier. Now I'm not saying other Starbucks have poor customer service, quite the contrary. But this place stands out as the cashiers will go out of their way to make recommendations and often hand out samples too. While I've had samples at other locations, this one seems to be more on top of them. Luckily I live very close, and you can't beat the hours here either. read more

We were rudely helped by the cashier but Rachel, the one running around and making the orders, was flustered but still maintained a smile and friendly tone with us. But here goes; So made a Starbucks run and came in here with my 2 friends for 7 drinks. 4 hot lattes and a hot chocolate. They didn't want to give me sleeves for my hot drinks cuz they were running low and wanted to reserve them for "really hot drinks". I told her we did have hot drinks but she said they really aren't and really hot drinks are like Americano's I mean really? This was our first visit to this location and they were PICTURE PERFECT! It was swamped but they didn't make us feel rushed, bless the barista that asked me 'And what else?' vs the always obnoxious 'Is that all?'. Our order was relatively simple this time but all the drinks around us were pretty customized and I didn't hear one mistake. Also, by the time the rest of our order was done I needed an ice water refill and the bar barista was perfectly gracious and didn't come across inconvenienced in the slightest to handle it for me. This Starbucks location seems newer and nicer than most, but it is lacking a drive thru window. The layout is a little different than many other Starbucks, however the ubiquitous and familiar menu is exactly the same. I was able to get in and out with my order fast and complete. A couple of newly made friends wanted to chat over some coffee, so we opted to come to Starbucks for its convenient location. I used my Gold card member's reward to receive a complimentary cinnamon dolce latte with soy milk, one of my favorite drinks. The baristas were busy, so it took a while to get to my order at the counter. It seemed like a longer wait than usual for them to make my coffee, but I'm a patient person, so I killed time by using the restroom. After I finally received my drink, I took a few sips, and almost took in a whole coffee bean. That was a first, and I've been a long time customer. Now, I'm a frequent mobile-orderer (it's much more convenient to pop in before work rather than wait in line), so my experience may differ. However, this starbucks is easily my favorite in town! Every time I come in, the employees make an effort to greet me in a friendly manner (at any other starbucks i place a mobile order, they tend to ignore you, unless they're still working on your drink). I also tend to complicate my orders a bit because I'm picky, and they always confirm they made it EXACTLY how I wanted. The outdoor seating at this location is what does it for me. The inside is often crowded and with a line has been my experience but once I get my drink and I can sit outside it's very nice and if I play my cards right I can get a spot with shade. Bonus! I come here every now and then to get coffee (obviously) if I'm in the area. I've never had any problems with service. It's pretty roomy inside with the classic Starbucks cozy feel. They have a small area outdoors to enjoy your drinks. I like that they're open later. My drinks have always been consistent. read more
