On my way to an appointment this Saturday, I stopped at my local Starbucks at Madison and Dewey Center--somewhere I visit at least four times a week. I ordered a sausage, cheddar, and egg sandwich along with a grande coffee. Both items were too hot to enjoy right away--or so I thought. Once I got back on the road and let the sandwich cool down, before I took a bite i realized it was still frozen. It hadn't been cooked. As I was getting off the freeway at the Sierra College exit in Rocklin, I remembered there was another Starbucks nearby, so I stopped in and asked if they could heat up my sandwich. The staff was just as surprised as I was that it hadn't been cooked. The associate behind the counter, Brandon, immediately apologized, told me to discard the sandwich, and offered to make me a new one. Within about five minutes, I had a fresh, hot breakfast sandwich. When I tried to tip him, he politely declined and instead gave me a service recovery card. I just wanted to give a shoutout to the Starbucks at 5494 Crossings Dr in Rocklin--and especially to Brandon--for the outstanding customer service. read more

We came through the drive-through with a really with a really big order. We tried to use the app, but it wouldn't accept orders with more than 12 items. That was kind of frustrating. however, they took our order through drive-through. They were happy to do it. We got all of our items correctly quickly barely any wait time. read more

Pathetic! Driving back home from Southern California, after picking up a rescue dog. Stopped at NUMEROUS Starbucks during our travels, no problem. Almost home, made the mistake of stopping at this dive! Ask for some water for my dog, prior to placing my order. "Sorry, we can't give you water without making a purchase". I'm a hard NO on the protein latte -- especially from this location. My order: Grande Iced Latte, non-fat, with a protein cold foam. Pretty standard. I received a grande clear cup with only a few cubes left (already fully melted although I was standing near the pickup counter at the time it was placed out for me to pickup). Only HALF of the cup was the latte, so 8 oz at best, but the cold foam started at fully 50% mark, so it was HALF of a latte and HALF foam. The ice was non-existent and the latte was "cool" at best, not cold. For this I paid $8.75? I clearly don't understand something about the pricing options and I wasn't going to hold up the line and ask for more detailed explanations. This is what I find the most odd: If I had ordered it to be made with protein milk as well, I'd pay yet another $2.00 -- but this was already a latte, and you're already charging for the milk, so where is the price justification for the milk that I already purchased for the latte vs the addition of protein milk instead? In other words, I ordered a latte made with milk, so if you don't use that milk and use protein milk instead, are you saying it's worth a whopping $2.00 more just for the 8 oz you used? How much was the non-fat milk worth, which you didn't use? Because the 16 oz cup was only half full at best, with melted ice water, so it's $2.00 per cup of protein milk? Or, are they adding a $2.00 scoop of protein TO the existing non-fat milk? Either way, $10.75 would have been the cost for THAT version which would simply have been absurd. I can go across the street to get a protein latte from Dutch Bros without all this add-on pricing nonsense, and it will be better and cheaper. Get a protein latte, pay $1.00 for soft top if I wish. It's well under Starbuck's price. The End. The reason I am not pleased with the service itself is that a) I was standing next to the counter waiting to pick-up. How could all the ice already be gone in an iced latte? And b) when the barista placed it on the counter, she said my name, quietly, under her breath, without looking up or calling out, and then turned away to go back to the drive-thru line. Had I not been there, I would never have heard her. It would have sat there. I had an iced drink. I had to ask for a straw which she tossed on the counter and walked away with zero eye contact. Avoid this Starbucks location unless you wanna get robbed! My boyfriend went to pick up our drinks, and the woman working there snuck in a $6 tip without asking. She initially looked like she was going to ask but stopped mid-sentence, then quickly took away the machine and the receipt, probably to cover her tracks. When I called to ask for a manager, she claimed to be the only one there and said she was the manager. She had blonde hair and was rude, even over the phone--no accountability at all. On top of that, my drink was made wrong. I ordered a chai, but it tasted like plain milk with zero flavor. You can tell she didn't care. Save yourself the trouble and go to the next location if you don't want to get scammed or end up with a poorly-made drink! read more

The quality lacks here, they seem lazy in drink making. My drink had pumpkin sauce in it and it wasn't even mixed into the espresso. It tastes NASTY when it sits at the bottom. They will ignore you in drive thru. Usually from Starbucks I expect a customer experience while waiting for my drink at the window. Have an extra person so one can take orders and one can be at window talking to the customer there. The store is plain and doesn't have much going on. Its sad to see Starbucks going down hill and losing its spark as well as core values. I have tried giving this location multiple tries but its not good 60% of the time. read more

I want to start off with this; although my drink wasn't made right the first time when I ordered through drive-thru, in the end they were able to make my drink right, all the while still having a great attitude and service. I ended up coming back in store after 30 minutes after realizing I didn't get what I ordered. I came inside and explained to a friendly associate Levi about my issue. He was able to kindly tell me that they'll make it right at no cost to me, and met 2 of my additional drink requests while doing so with a smile. I felt heard and taken care of and because this Starbucks is right next to my work, I feel comfortable coming again knowing there is a team with great individuals that care about their customers' experience. Great Starbucks. Very clean dining area. Coffee and pastry were fresh and tasted great. Plenty of seating and the music is not blasting so you can actually get some work done. Service was very fast. I liked that the cashier was able to pour my coffee and hand me my room temperature, unheated pastry. Perfect location near Bass pro shops outdoor World. This is my favorite place to go for Starbucks drinks. Last time ordered through their drive through. Got me completely wrong drink. Luckily I noticed the color looks off so I told them Is not my order and then the label actually stuff that not even I want were written on it. Told the guy on the drive through and told me that's my order. I said no since I ordered it so many times I could tell. So they made me another drink. I asked if they want to take the drink back but said no. So I tasted it, omg tasted weird and definitely not the one I liked. Great location, yesterday for lunch we came in and I ordered their Holiday Turkey & Stuffing Panini, it was my second time trying it and it's delicious and a great way to get you into the holiday spirit being all the staples of a Christmas dinner, mm! For something Christmasy my boyfriend and I split their Cranberry Bliss® Bar, very creamy and flavorful as always, mm! To drink I ordered my favorite drink, a tall Strawberry Acai Starbucks Refreshers™ Beverage, love their sweetened sliced strawberries and green coffee they use! For my daughter I ordered their Eggs & Cheese Protein Box which comes with apple slices, grapes and multigrain muesli bread with spreadable honey pb as well and I picked up a Peter Rabbit Organics Strawberry & Banana Puree for her as well. She enjoyed the puree and protein box and mama had some bites as well, always loved their protein box, they use cage-free eggs and it's 23 grams of protein! Shocking situation... I was there for coffee but instead I observed a clinic on how NOT to treat an employee. I observed one of the mangers (Tommy) berating and literally bullying a female employee in front of co workers and customers. This used to be a great location wher the staff got to know you. But over the last few months, the replacement manager and the district manager have destroyed this store. The new manager doesn't bother to get to know you or even acknowledge you as a customer. They have gotten rid of so many staff that they can't even open the lobby on weekends, it's drive thru only. This manager must go and the district manger needs to be relieved of duty. The existing staff hates them, morale is horrible. I wanted to take the time to write this lengthy review because this particular Starbucks deserves it. Since the "pandemic" started in 2020, i still remember only leaving my house to grab a coffee through the drive-thru at this Starbucks which was the only one open for a few hours during the day. Actually looking back that was almost 2 years go , wow. But let me skip to the best part, which was my interaction 2-3 times a week with this incredible barista Jeffery ! He is the light, the joy, and the person who literally made my day better every morning as i navigated through the changing times. Not only did he remember my order but he never failed to ask me about my day, and honestly i use to drive off thinking how could i forget to ask him about his day, as he also was trying to navigate through all the changes COVID was burdening on the employees who were just trying to keep their jobs and keep customers safe. Jeffery is beyond a star employee in my eyes, he is gracious, always smiling, and you never leave the drive thru feeling any less than amazing because now only do you have a cup of caffeine or a sugar filled drink that of course you deserve , haha , but you are smiling because this one person took time to make you feel seen. I also want to add if you rarely come here and decided to leave a bad review ask yourself was it you maybe having a bad day or did you ever stop to think that maybe the person serving you has to follow all these new guidelines that they had to adapt to, to make sure they stay open and keep you safe. Please be kind to these employees and maybe say thank you or serve them a smile. Lastly i just want to say before this turns into a novel, that i literally bypass every Starbucks near me to drive further to this one, because not only is Jeffery amazing but so is the rest of the staff. I literally use to come to this Starbucks daily for 3 years straight. I knew all of the employees and they knew me. Very friendly people back then. I quit going because they started hiring new people who were not so nice. Over the last 2 1/2 years anytime I have gone to this Starbucks the attitude is crap. I do not buy for me anymore. I was in town visiting a friend and we were craving some delicious drinks and therefore we found ourselves here! We only did the drive thru, so that is all I can review on. We are both not coffee drinkers, but Starbucks has options for non-coffee or caffeine people like us haha. I am a huge fan of any Starbucks that has a drive-thru! Makes it incredibly easy for me when I'm not looking to deal with people, I just sit in my car and Order. This location is conveniently located near my job so I tend to hit this Starbucks, and one other out this way multiple times a week. There does tend to be quite a few Mix-Ups at this location , but the line seems to travel pretty fast. People are friendly, mostly very young kids , I'm guessing lots of first time jobs for them here. While Starbucks isn't the best coffee out there, I do tend to hold Starbucks a little bit close to my heart as I used to be a supervisor here for 3 years when living in San Jose. There is also a host of awesome places to shop all around this location, whenever I have to hit Target or Chipotle for dinner I'll stop in for an iced tea at Starbucks. read more

I recently got all four of my wisdom teeth taken out and was so sad that I couldn't enjoy my favorite cold drink, due to not being able to drink from a straw. Thank you so much to the amazing and kind girl who was working the drive thru for coming to my rescue! She was super sweet and accommodating by putting a nitro/cold brew lid on my drink so I could enjoy it without feeling discomfort or worry about my stitches. This Starbucks location used to be quick and friendly. I am not sure where they took a wrong turn, but it definitely shows! It took about 16 minutes one day for me to get what I ordered (simple iced white mocha) and there were only 3 customers in the store and 4 in the drive thru. Another example, I went into the store to grab my drink which was ready, but I ordered a pastry that I wanted warmed up. That one took about 9 minutes. I am usually one to never complain about service because I have been the food service employee on the receiving end, but this is ridiculous. I don't mind the employee to employee conversation and camaraderie at all, in fact I encourage it, but that goes out the window if you're not working efficiently as well. If I was able to do it at 16, you are more than capable of doing it as an adult. I'm very disappointed with the service all around. read more

Update to my initial review of this Starbucks location. I was super excited to have another Starbucks in the area. The layout is great as well as outdoor patio. The parking lot is shared and it is a bit crazy most of the time. I agree with most of the other reviewers in that the staff who work here are pretty rude and uptight. I'm not sure if they think they are better than their customers or what but I've spent a ton of money on drinks here over the years and invited friends as well but the employees really bring down the atmosphere in the store. They will have their backs to you most of the time so getting their attention is nearly impossible unless you have to yell, which I refuse to do. If they do accidentally make eye contact with you they'll usually keep doing what they were doing before eye contact was made. I thought maybe this Starbucks was like many that have a drive thru and direct their attention to that but it's a much bigger issue. Those who have used the drive thru have similar complaints. On 2 occasions I've needed to get my drink corrected and I can stand at the counter where drinks are made for several minutes without 1 employee looking in my direction. They have no problem having conversations with each other but it's almost like its painful for them to talk to a customer. It's very bizarre to say the least. Btw, I echo the complaints of other regarding the noise the chairs make. It's literally the loudest and most annoying sound I've heard in a public place. read more

This is hands down the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. It's the closest drive thru to my house by a pretty decent distance so I kept trying. My drinks are always messed up and if they have the right ingredients that have the wrong portions. This morning my husband went with a picture of the sticker from an old drink I had and showed it to them so they got it exactly right. My drink is not hard. Trenta iced coffee, almond milk, 2 pumps classic, 2 pumps sf vanilla. My husband came home with a trenta iced coffee, a splash of almond milk, 2 pumps Carmel syrup, 2 pumps regular vanilla. AND HE SHOWED THEM THE PICTURE OF THEIR STICKER. I can't stand this place. I will never go there again. read more

Did a pit stop here from San Francisco on the way to Reno, and it was such a good experience that we made a point to to stop in again on the way back! The staff was friendly, especially the woman at the register (sorry that I forgot her name) who made it a point to let us know on our second visit that she remembered us from the first! The store was clean, well-organized, and there are two bathrooms that were both spotless. This location should be a model for all Starbucks locations! read more

Enjoying yourself in this place is impossible. The chairs make the most irritating noise when they slide on the floor. How hard is it for the manager to realise this may be irritating to customers and say something to the the district manager?? Walk your ass to Walmart and buy something for this. The staff are clumsy and make obscene amounts of noise clanging, slamming metal doors, banging, having personal conversations across the store. I was hoping these guys would get it together, but they don't seem up to par with the other Starbucks locations. The staff is hit or miss friendly. Bueno is a dream and most others are grumpy girls. They are often out of the food choices and the drive thru is so slow. The interior is great, the larger store with more product selection is very nice. The store is clean and welcoming, the staff...not so much. I'm not sure if they were trained in the way of Starbucks. My hot tea took longer than the mocha of the girl who ordered after me. What has happened to Starbucks service? They used to follow Nordstrom in that if it wasn't right, they would bend over backward to make it right. I order a TALL pumpkin cr cold brew in a GRANDE cup w extra cream. Wait over 5 minutes at the pick up window for them to tell me cold brew is not working. They offer to jerry rig an iced coffee.
