This is my 3rd visit to The Grove Coffee House. My first visit was when they first opened and it was awful. My 2nd visit was about a year ago. I tried their version of a pumpkin latte and it was delish! This time their Banana Bread Latte brought me in. I ordered it iced. The drink could use an other shot of espresso. I came here on a Wednesday morning with my best friend and surprisingly, there was a good amount of people inside. It seems like a good place to get work done or meet up with a few people. The owner seemed kind and suggested some of his more popular drinks. I ordered the cinnamon latte while my friend got the pistachio latte with oat milk. You can expect to pay around $8-$10 for a coffee drink here. The cinnamon latte was alright, but the pistachio latte had no flavor. It tasted like a generic iced coffee this was watered down with ice and oat milk. The owner was kind enough to check up on us and ask how our drinks were and we told him that we couldn't taste the pistachio flavor in the iced latte. He added more pistachio syrup to it, but for some reason, there was still no pistachio flavor! Came here twice now. The fist time was great experience minus forgetting one of our drinks. The avocado toasts are amazing. My son got a simple avocado toast and my daughter got the avocado toast with the boiled eggs and radish. I really enjoyed the toast. I also loved the green and white dishes. I got a dirty banana chai latte. It was alright. I came back again with just my son and I got an iced vanilla latte. I really like all the different options on their menu. I was around the area and wanted some coffee. I saw The Grove Coffee House have good Yelp reviews, so decided to try this place out. It was a bit tricky getting in to the place coming from Roseville down Sierra College Blvd. There a small drive way, if you miss it, you need to make a U-Turn, so be aware of that haha. There's plenty of parking which is nice. When I entered the coffee place, I was surprised at how busy they were. There were plenty of tables and seating, so this would make a great place to sit and hang out. I actually saw someone on a zoom call haha. Since it was my first time there, I asked for an Iced Coffee recommendation. She first recommended the Indie Witch, but I was all pupmpkin'd out haha. Since I wanted to do a comparison with another place, I decided to try their version of a Mexican Mocha. Despite being busy, the drink came out quickly. Now, as for the Iced Mexican Mocha, it was good, but not like my favorite coffee place that does a Mexican Mocha. Hence the 4 stars. But I may be picky, because my regular coffee spot I go to for Mexican Mocha coffee just does it in a special way that I really like. I don't know how they do it haha. As for The Grove, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The place itself is clean with plenty of seating. If I'm in the area, I'll give their other coffee drinks a try. I was so disappointed with my first visit but I was still eager to give them a second shot. We were passing through one day and in the area, so I wanted to go back since their fall seasonal menu sounded great! Almost all of the drinks were ones that I would want to try so it was difficult to decide. I ended up picking the blueberry matcha, since I don't see it on menus often, and my husband picked the Libra Season which was a toasted marshmallow coconut mocha. Both drinks were delicious! Way better than the ones we chose last time. They were creamy and truly tasted as advertised. Service was better this time, although the cashier this time wasn't great at actively listening. We would say our drink (i.e. small iced blueberry matcha with oat milk) and right after she would ask "did you say hot?" Or would forget to enter the milk we requested. So luckily you can see your order on the screen and double check it before paying. So glad I gave this place another chance. Since this is the very first review on this new business in Roseville, I will tell you that "The Grove Coffee House" is as good as it gets for quality-tasting coffees and espresso drinks. The official grand opening was on Thursday 8/24/2023 and I had the opportunity to visit here the following day. Located in a quiet strip mall, they're located at 9260 Sierra College Blvd at the corner of Sierra College and E. Roseville Pkwy. Parking was very simple to find as I was able to find a spot in front of the business on a Friday morning at 9:45am. The inside of this place is clean, sleek, modern, spacious and everything you'd expect at a coffee roaster. Even the smell of the paint was still apparent as this place was as clean as possible. Inside, you will notice quite a few booths complete with charging outlets that include USB plug-ins for your phone/tablet. There are also a respectable amount of tables with modern pistachio-mint colored chairs and a very nice faux-wood flooring throughout. I also noticed a beautiful floral display, new heavy duty espresso machines, and just so much attention to detail where the owner, Javed Khan told me it was 2 years in the making to make his family owned business truly come to life. Since this was my first time here, I went with their Vietnamese Iced Coffee (quad espresso shots, condensed milk and whole milk. To complete my order, I went with a butter croissant. All of their beans are brewed exclusively with Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters, a well known Sacramento staple. In addition to their standard coffee and espresso drinks, they carry a lot of unique offerings including a Spanish Latte, Gulab Jamun Latte, Baklava Latte, and a Nutella Mocha. They're also in the works of getting Pakistani Fusion Flare drinks in the near future. There were multiple employees working here and the young woman who took my order was actually the daughter of the owner. Everyone here was very accommodating as they took care of our orders in a quick and timely manner. All in all, "The Grove Coffee House" in Roseville is as good as it gets for an excellent coffee experience. The location is perfect as the business name is even visible when driving on E. Roseville Pkwy. Not to mention, they have very respectable hours of operation being opened for business 7 days a week from 7am-5pm. With that said and done, I am giving them a perfect 5-star rating. The first star is a given -- you can't give zero. The second is because they serve Chocolate Fish Coffee, which is delightful. I ALSO love supporting local businesses ... but. I've had two absolutely terrible experiences at this shop. The first, a young woman who had just started told my husband they don't grind beans (as a store policy). She was either mistaken or lying because she didn't know how to grind them, but either way she was super aggressive about it. The second was today. I went in for 4 breakfast burritos and 2 drinks. It was $65 and took 30 minutes. They just left the burritos on the counter and continued helping other customers. My husband's $8 hot matcha was ice cold. At one point I asked if they could please cook the burritos so we could leave, because we have tickets to the ballet in San Francisco. The girl said 'uh-huh' and kept doing what she was doing. I've tried reaching out to the manager -- no response. I can't get anyone on the phone. I'd love to touch bases with someone regarding these experiences... I ordered the brown sugar cinnamon latte (iced) with whole milk & I can honestly say I had water more flavorful than whatever I had today. I am noticing they are playing with different variations such as adding Toffee to the original base. I prefer it hot as is. They have a killer matcha! I love their matcha base. Recently tried a new seasonal "Earth Matcha" which has lavender notes in it. My barista was still learning so the matcha overpowered the lavender but no problem for me since I am a fan of their regular matcha. Prices here are also another pocket killer. Stumbled upon this coffee shop for the first time after a doctors appointment for a quick caffeine fix! Upon walking in, it was so spacious with plenty of seating indoor and outdoor! They offer various food items, teas and coffee! They also have a menu for every season they update when the new season hits! My favorite thing about this place is that they use Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters for their coffee beans! They also sell the whole beans and fresh honey here as well! I gotten the Spring Fields! The coffee was so smooth with the right about of sweetness with all 3 syrups combined! I've been coming here every Friday for the last year I think. It's been great. It's one of my favorite things to do to end the week. However the service has slowly gone down over the last 3-4 months. Prices are going up, I paid $15 today for a latte and a croissant. There was only one worker trying to manage everything, he was doing his best but struggling to keep up with the demand. I felt bad for him. Typically there are a few people working but they make drinks inconsistently. The Mexican Mocha sometimes tases great other times there I just way to my seasoning that it's impossible to drink.
