But here's where it flipped, he actually checked back in, asked what I thought, and instead of brushing it off, he was like "yeah... you're right." That alone tells you a lot. He pivoted and brewed up a Mexican that absolutely slapped. Clean, expressive, way more dialed. From there we just geeked out for a bit talking single origins, roasting approaches, equipment, all of it. That level of awareness and willingness to adjust in real time is rare, and it's what makes a place worth coming back to. I'm really interested to see how he continues to shape the program here. This feels like a shop that's still evolving in a good way.

I was honestly so excited to go to this place. This coffee bar is actually quite hidden, as they are located right behind the Village General Store on Vernon. There's quite a bit of parking when the storefront is closed, so you wouldn't even expect a wait at all. They have such a spacious patio as well (if you want to sit down and have a good time chatting it up with your other friends), and such big space to wait if you don't want the patio. I got one of their oatmeal cookies as well as their Matcha lattes. What I didn't know was that their oatmeal cookies were gluten free, and they were sourced and made locally by artisans here in Roseville. They also used quite premium-grade matcha that made it taste really good with the whole milk they mixed in eventually. The ambiance and the hospitality was one of the best out there, and I can't wait to be back the next time I'm in Sacramento!

My only special request would be to have milk alternatives for the milk teas. I'm not even sure if that's a common thing for boba shops but it would make for a nice e touch. You will really notice the difference between them and other places. There are a number of tea and other drink options. They have a limited range of food options that includes amazing pastries, some of which are vegan. Only rarely do they have a gluten-free option.

Our drinks and food came out quickly. The Turkish pot was beautiful. The coffee itself was rich for me, as I'm usually not a caffeine drinker, but wasn't too strong that it was off putting. The pastries were good, we liked how light and not too sweet the mango pastry was. We sat around for a while enjoying our drinks and working. It was quiet enough the get work done and not feel bad about taking up a table. We really loved it here and are adding to our list of favorite coffee houses.

Absolutely no coffee aroma at all. What this place uniquely offers is late hours of operation. Open to 11pm Monday - Thursday. Friday - Sunday open to midnight. I just sampled 3 of the desserts. Creamy pistachio bombe, coffee bombe, and a cannolo. All are satisfying sweet and luxurious. Will I return for more? At $8+ per piece that's debatable.
