I have been staying at the hospital for the past week. I have been surviving off of hospital coffee. You might as well drink motor oil. Hospital coffee is the worst. Now that my daughter is here visiting me, I was able to send her down to the shop to grab me something yummy to drink. I haven't had a pink drink for a few years. Now that I have my new kidney, I'm allowed to have coconut milk again. With that being said, that will be my first drink I plan on tearing up as a sweet treat. The pink drink was the last drink I had before I was diagnosed with my kidney disease and today's it's my first real drink to celebrate my new kidney. My sweet daughter headed downstairs and got it for me. It looks so heavenly! The sweetest shade of pink. It was creamy! It was sweet! And it had all the fun inclusions in it. In the morning I snagged a sugar free vanilla matcha. Just as perfect as my pink drink, my matcha was perfection! It had a nice amount of matcha. It was creamy with a nice amount of sweet. I try to go to local coffee joints. Supporting small businesses is so important but you can not not enjoy what Starbys pushes out. Not gonna lie, my two drinks were what I needed and lifted my spirits. I look forward to having a few more while I'm at the hospital for my visits. read more

Craving a sweet treat while working at the hospital so I stopped by the Starbucks here! They have a wide variety of options for pastries/treats aside from the drinks and honestly it's hard to go wrong. I had never seen the strawberries and cream cake pop before and wanted to try it and I'd give it a 9/10 if you like strawberry cake flavor! It was $3.45. It was adorably designed and very yummy, perfect to curb a little sweet craving. Having been here before, I can say I'd recommend ordering on the Starbucks app because the wait can be fairly longgg, depending on the time of day you order. Most of the morning is pretty busy so this can save you a lot of time because the app will let you know when your order is ready for pickup so you aren't waiting around the shop for 10-20 min. There's a decent amount of seating which allows for an area to meet up with others or conduct a business meeting or do some work. Most of the staff are pretty nice and they do their best on the wait times, considering it's the only location in the hospital. I would recommend this place and the cake pops! ;) read more

This Starbucks is probably one of the busiest locations in the valley because it is located in the U of U Hospital and healthcare providers are always tired & overworked. The amount of volume and fast service this location still does is so impressive, I give props to these baristas! Literally they are keeping this hospital going and running. The drinks have always been made properly and have always been just as delicious even with how busy the baristas are. I enjoy Frappuccino's the most, especially the Mocha Cookie Crumble one, so that is my usual order. I think because of the amount of orders that come through in a day, they do not allow online orders to mess with the queue (is what I believe), which may be kind inconvenient for some, but this location is almost purely for healthcare providers, so those who NEED a coffee will come and wait in the long-looking, but actually short line. Most people that come by the Starbucks do no sit in the area, they normally take their drink and go. This is a high-volume, to-go based Starbucks, so the turn over in the area is quite a lot and so there will normally be seats available if you're looking to sit. It may look crowded, but it's just providers waiting for their drink to take back to their unit. read more

Most the time this location is great. Today they filled half my cup with cool whip when I said no whip. I removed the whip to see why my cup felt so light. They remade it and it was so burnt tasting. Not able to even drink it. So gross! Waste of my money and my break read more

I went to grab coffee for everyone that helped me out. Nick was very rude and said he was having a good night until I ordered so many drinks. $134 I spent there and he was so upset. Good: It's open 24 hours and my frapp tastes the way it's supposed to when I get it. I'm at the hospital often enough to enjoy there's one in this facility. Not so much: Food has only been stocked during the day. I have come downstairs in the early mornings and there wasn't much of anything there to have. Cleanliness needs some work. Sweep the floor and make sure the tables are wiped down and not sticky. It would also help to replace the wobbly tables/chairs with sturdy ones because I really didn't care to have my husband's food and drink at an angle while I'm caring for him. Customer service is serious LACKING. Would it hurt to put a smile on your face? Even when you're busy, smile! You have patients, family/friends, hospital staff, etc that are there and a simple smile with courteous service could go a long way. Some of these people are tired, exhausted, have lost a loved one, etc. Yes, I understand this is just coffee, but a smile doesn't cost you anything. You might have a little bit more in your tip jar than you do now. read more

Open 24/7, friendly staff, great coffee, and Wifi. What else could you ask for? I work nights at the hospital and I find few things open at night, but I'm always glad to have Starbucks open for a warm drink or snack. The staff is always friendly and they are really fast at making your drink. The seating is also relaxed and great, during the summer months you can also have a sit in the outside patio. But any other time there are seats and couches surrounding the Starbucks. Another great thing is that if you work at the hospital, you can use your U-card to pay for your order. read more

I'm just glad there's a Starbucks at my place of work. It's nice to just stop by and grab a triple shot latte as I shuffle back and forth to different meetings. But, they don't participate in any of the Starbucks Gold card/app offers. So you can't order ahead online or redeem free drinks and snacks. Kind of an odd location for a Starbucks...in an emergency room lobby....weird! I think this place should be off limits for patients. Luckily I didn't see any walking around in hospital gowns and IV's. That would have been a sight as I was sipping my extra foam latte. numerous visits and i don't even drink coffee! this is my favorite place to plop down and just have a great conversation at all hours of the night. they have some decent fair. instant oatmeal, various pastries of various quality and flavor, sandwiches and wraps, and plenty of beverages from which to choose. so, if you just want to extend the night out a bit, enjoy the ambience, your warm drink, and the company of a good friend or companion. OR if your relationship is on the skids, take your significant other for a nice americano with room, and various snacks to placate the wrath. oh, and the service is pretty dang awesome after midnight. read more

Coffee is ALWAYS burnt. Never have them do a pour over, even worse. Refreshers are tasty, and staff is friendly but coffee is disgusting.
