    Mango dragonfruit refresher
    francesca p.

Hands down the BEST pistachio latte I've ever had. It definitely tastes like pistachio, with a sweet and creamy coffee/milk combo. The staff was extremely friendly and kind. The environment was exhilarating, clean, and chill. My partner ordered the cinnamon dulce which he described as a subtle creaminess with the perfect amount of cinnamon. My children ordered the mango dragonfruit refresher which they devoured in less than 10mins. 10/10, highly recommended! Their Turkish treats looked delicious as well but thanks to keto, I'm not allowed.

Yum! White mocha latte (iced) 10/10 - creamy, sweet, good smooth coffee flavor - on sweeter side but good level for me, so some people may want less sweet Yemeni latte (iced) 9/10 - cardamom and cinnamon notes - smooth, honey took forever to dissolve in the drink but still good - on sweeter side as well but perfect for me Big triangle pistachio baklava 10/10 - perfect flakey, sweet, sticky, nutty - one of my fav baklavas Vibes are quiet. You can totally just work in the coffee shop. Not many people but the afternoon Pilates moms do come. Overall, I would definitely come back to try more of their desserts!

    Vanilla Latte and tiramisu cake!

Yesterday was my first time there. The place is nice, large, and modern. If they could set a time limit for tables, it would be great. The food is well-presented, but the flavor still needs improvement, and the coffee doesn't taste very good; it's very diluted. But what I liked least was the customer service. It's unbelievable how they don't have napkins for people ordering takeout. I politely asked for some napkins and they sent me to get them from the tables when all the tables were occupied. I found it disappointing because I was paying for a really expensive coffee and dessert, and they sent me to steal napkins from the people at a table when they should have them or go get them themselves, not send the customer. It's disrespectful to the person at the table! I know they're new to the area, but there are still things they need to improve!

I loved the decor and vibe of this place - it was happening! Lots of people hanging out. The coffee's are very unique as are the deserts. Super yummy in both accounts. The servers are very polite and happy to answer any questions.

Amazing smell of the spices -- that's what I got once I entered the shop. The location is amazing. It's on 2400 Broadway -- can't get better than this. So many shops and places to walk around in the neighborhood. Love the water stall. What a nice touch. So many desserts and sweets. Just had an American as usual. I know! There are tons of drinks to choose from the menu. What can I say; I'm a simple guy. I'm just here to have some decent coffee after gorging myself with so much foods from Whole Foods.

My first time here on 2/9/26. This place is huge, very clean, and well lit. It's a great spot for studying or a casual coffee date. The staff is polite and accommodating, which sets the tone right away. I ordered an Adeni chai before heading to work, and it was a great choice. It was creamy, tasty, and gave me solid energy without upsetting my stomach. I'm definitely coming back to try their pastries and more of their coffee drinks. This place is fire It's also conveniently located near other food spots that are within walking distance. The place was full of people studying, working, and mingling, which added to the good vibe. Price: 8/10 Cleanliness: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Will I come back? Yes

Was in the area for dinner at a nearby restaurant and we were looking for a good coffee spot afterwards and saw this on Yelp. Alot of variety on the menu for drinks hot or cold and same with pastries. Walking distance for parking structure near the downtown Redwood City area where the restaurants are. Great customer service, The place is spacious as well.

The new Yemeni coffee shop in Redwood City's downtown area is a charming addition to the neighborhood. When we visited on in morning, it was relatively quiet. The shop, situated at a corner, boasts a lovely interior with tasteful wall decorations and a pleasant seating arrangement. Conveniently located across from a well-known coffee and pastry shop, it offers a variety of coffee options, including pour-over, Turkish coffee, and Yemeni coffee, as well as an assortment of pastries. We ordered a Sana'a latte, Sana'ani pour-over, mocha latte, and a regular latte. The coffee is good. For pastries, we enjoyed a selection of their offerings. However, the service was rather slow, as the staff were juggling both order-taking and preparation. Improving service efficiency would enhance the overall experience.

100% fantastic experience at Sana'a Cafe. Which is a delightful thing to have, especially considering I went during their soft opening. Cardamom coffee, and a Bird's Nest for a small snake treat. Both looked and tasted fantastic!. About any of their coffees with cardamom here, I suggest that you don't do anything to the coffee. When you get it. Simply drink it and enjoy it. I have found that I didn't need to add anything beyond what the counter had done to it already. No milk. No sugar. Just delightful to drink as it is. Everyone behind the counter was a joy to interact with. And since this was my first visit, I ask a lot of questions. They provided a lot of informative answers too. Inside and out the Sana'a Cafe is simply beautiful. All the tables were kept clean. And the station for to-go orders was kept well stocked with everything you could imagine to adjust your coffee to your liking. The bathrooms are clean as well. You can send your kids unattended into their bathroom if you desire. They are that nicely kept. Internet access is very good here. The availability of power outlets less so. But there's a few to be found. I was on foot that day so I didn't have any need to park. But it's downtown redwood City. So expect your normal parking problems as with any downtown area on the peninsula. The only thing I really have left to say is, "why didn't I come in here before"? While talking to the staff I learned there are other Sana'a Cafe locations in the Bay Area. I'm going to be looking up those other locations to see if they're close enough for any of the stops that I have to make. I heartliy recommend Sana'a Cafe in Redwood City California!

    Biscoff cake, baklava, fataver
    Francie M.

I love spiced coffee but most places a "cardamom latte" is like a Lacroix - only a whiff. But not here! I ordered an iced mofawar which had a strong and delicious cardamom flavor, and the perfect balance of cream and coffee to be bittersweet. I also ordered - a slice of chocolate baklava: skip, I've had better - a za'atar cheese fataver, a savory pastry. This had great taste but could have been heated up more as it was still a bit cold and tough - A slice of biscoff milk cake: delicious but so sweet it was hard to finish So come for the coffee, maybe skip the food. This is a popular working cafe so it was hard to get a table, and the staff was pretty busy to bus the tables. Keep this in mind if dining in! Logistics: - Indoor seating with a few outside tables - Limited streetparking in front but a block away from Caltrain station and I presume there is a public garage nearby

The place inside is decorated nicely with lots of tables. I was there before 8am with only one person working. We ordered 2 drinks one espresso Spanish Latte and one Arabic coffee. It took a long time which makes sense with only on person working. But the Spanish latte was warm not hot and too sweet. The Arabic coffee seemed to be hot water and cardamom like she forgot the coffee. We tried the milk cake as well which was also overly sweet. Overall left very underwhelmed..

We LOVE this place! First time here on a Saturday night and we were still drooling so we went back Sunday morning. We had the Pistachio Latte and the Dubai Cheesecake. TO. DIE. FOR. The interior is beautiful and the staff is so friendly. I will be back every time I am visiting Redwood City.

    Cute seating

Came upon this place while enroute to pick up tea and decided to give it a try. The place is nicely decorated, has seasonal menu items, snacks, and what appears to be comfy seating for various group sizes. Staff were very busy and several tables were in need to clearing (dishes etc left by guests). They did not have enough staff but it's a new looking place, so I certainly give them some grace. Ordered a chai which I really enjoyed. Their mocha was just okay and tasted more like chai per my friend. The qisher and cinnamon dolce latte tasted watered down so I didn't enjoy them. To go carrier was very pretty and staff were very nice.

Service is fast. Not a lot of seating inside, but there are a couple additional small tables for 2-4 people outside on the patio. Chose the cheapest item on the menu, which was the taro ube sago for $7.95 before tax. Honestly, it's pretty hard to mess up taro ube sago, so at best, I'd say it only meets the standard. It was more of a dessert soup than a pudding, which is what I expected. Serving size definitely way too small for the portion amount, even if you say the glass jar itself costs ~$2 (and that feels like a generous estimate). I've made an entire pot of taro sago that served 15 people that cost about $8 in raw ingredients. Personally don't see the value in coming back, but if you're looking for Chinese desserts in a pinch, then this place does the job.

Unfortunately, this visit felt like a restaurant that's lost some of its spark. Happy hour was actually a pleasant surprise. The prices are excellent and make it easy to sample a variety of dishes. The Polpette and prosciutto with melon were enjoyable, but the croquettes were forgettable. The mussels and shrimp didn't taste particularly fresh, which was disappointing. The chicken had an unusual texture--somewhere between a chicken nugget and a crab cake. It just wasn't for me, The biggest letdown was the Bigoli e Coda. The pasta still had its signature chewy texture, but the sauce felt oily instead of rich, the braised oxtail lacked the deep, slow-cooked flavor I remembered, and the entire dish desperately needed seasoning. It used to be one of those dishes I'd recommend without hesitation. Not anymore. The seafood entrée was probably the strongest dish of the night, but even there it fell short. The fish was properly cooked, yet the skin lacked the crisp, golden finish that makes a skin-on fillet so satisfying. It was another dish that felt underseasoned and never quite came to life. That was really the theme of the evening: almost everything felt underseasoned. Nothing was inedible--it just lacked the vibrant flavors and careful execution that made Donato stand out years ago. I'm hoping this was simply an off night because Donato has earned a lot of goodwill over the years.
