Nice place to get coffee and do some work. My usual order is ALWAYS consistent every time I visit. The staff are friendly here as well as the regular patrons. Location is not ideal as you are often being solicited for money by certain individuals hanging around the plaza, which is a major turn off for me. There are no drive thru, so you have to go into the store. However, it is easy to find parking and traffic is not that terrible when trying to leave the plaza. read more

Seeing the drive up window was long I decided to go in. It's been a long time since I've been at this location. The service was fast and very reliable like usual. But when I walked up to the entrance, I was dismayed at the garbage strewn about and it was every where. The sidewalks were dirty and could use a good scrubbing. Though there was new outdoor furniture to make it look inviting; inviting it was not, cigarette boxes lying on the ground, crumpled up napkins, just overall ugliness. There are numerous homeless people in this area that I'm sure would be happy to clean the area if supplied with the proper tools and given some incentive (mula). Today they were out of both dark roast coffee and oatmeal. This location is almost constantly out of something - and often it's coffee. That seems strange for a coffee place. Do yourself a favor and try the nearby peets, Zocalo, or an alternate Starbucks. read more

This Starbucks was located on E 14th St and 138th Ave in San Leandro in a small stripmall across the street from San Leandro Hospital. They did not have a drive thru. There were 4 leather chairs, a few small tables, limited electrical outlets, and outdoor seating. There weren't a lot of customers hanging out for hours at a time like other locations. Starbucks has high standards on customer service. In theory it sounds great, but in real life that ain't true. I used to come to this location for years, even though I had terrible experiences I was still coming. I know there are some great people working there but there has been rude, petulant, stack up, unapologetic people working there. Even though I made numerous complaints about it, nothing changed. Baristas and cashiers do and treat people the way they want not caring about the great customer service this company brags about it. I'm not supporting Starbucks anymore. I'm not supporting a company that treats bad to clientele. I even canceled my rewards card asking for my balance to be mailed out to me in a check. I went to McDonalds to try an iced coffee and I got the caffeine kick and the yummy delicious taste of caramel for only $2.20 USD (venti size). This Starbucks is a little small but location is very convenient for me. Its kind of low-key, and not as busy as the Starbucks in Marina.Its located in a strip plaza next to Hawaiian Ono and Popeyes. Staff is friendly and personable, and baristas are good. I ordered the blended ice coffee with whip or cappuccino and they make it typically fast and consistent. If i order pastries they warm it up for me. Just an FYI; don't come here when school is done it can get a lil. crazy and rowdy, but so far, I like this location. read more

I have Always had friendly service for the most part at this location, but going inside be preared to wait a very long time to order your drink. The first couple times I had about 5 people ahead of me and got my drink 30 minutes later (seriously i was looking at my watch). I have been to this Starbucks a number of times because I work nearby, however no previous experiences were extraordinary or stood out. They were always polite and fast. It wasn't until this morning that I truly appreciated their consistently cheery service. I tried going to the Starbucks on MacArthur Blvd since it is right off of 580 (read my other review if you want the details), but they were just awful and so I came here. Like always, I could rely on this Starbucks to make my drink correctly, quickly, and with a smile on their faces. I like coming here when its not busy (which is rarely) because they have the nicest seating area inside and outside compared to most Starbucks in the area. Its also nice to have the drive thru but it is usually also very busy but goes by pretty fast if you don't feel like going inside. read more

The Starbucks here totally blew my mind. This was my first drive-thru coffee experience and man, was it memorable. I ordered my usual venti caramel frappucino and waited a bit to get up to pay (about 4 minutes) and at the window, they said their registers were down so I received my drink for free! Their wifi coverage extends all the way into the parking lot so sometimes I use their free, fast network with my iPod Touch in the parking lot, which is fabulous. The coffee I great too. read more

I usually have a pleasant experience at this Starbucks since it's only a 5 minute drive from my house. I've been craving a specific drink over the last few weeks but never had time to come by here until this afternoon. I was excited walking in and I already knew exactly what I wanted. When I got to the register there was already one person ahead of me but I didn't have to wait long. The store wasn't busy there was barely anyone inside. First thing I noticed about the barista behind the counter was that she definitely had the look on her face that showed me and everyone else, that she did not want to be there. She was an older Asian woman who did not greet me, smile, or asked me what I would like today. You know, the usual customer service duties. I had never seen her before so this was my first interaction with her. I ignored it and told her I wanted a grande green tea latte-she did not ask me my name nor allowed me to complete my order. And just for the record I usually don't care if they ask me for my name because they never spell it right! She just wrote on the cup and placed it down for the barista on the bar to make. She asked me if that was all I wanted, HOWEVER I was not done ordering my drink. I asked for Soy and honestly I think her rudeness just shocked me to the point I said vanilla syrup instead of toffee nut syrup. Whatever it was she did the same exact thing, uhm excuse me, let the CUSTOMER finish ordering... like why make it so difficult? Then I had a longer time paying for my drink because I don't think she even presses "credit/debit card" button on the screen and just turned her back to look at the coffee behind her. I know this because I was a barista at Starbucks for almost 4 years and I thought you know, she must be having a bad day today. Then a guy come us to stand behind me waiting to order (he says nothing to her) and she looks at him and tells him she's still with a customer. Rude. Rude. Rude. Sorry you had such a bad day that you had to go out your way to ruin other people's mood with your negativity and I hope your day gets better ! 3 Stars only because the other barista made my drink perfectly but I won't be coming back for awhile AGAIN. read more

I spend a lot of money at Starbucks so I had earned a free drink reward. I went in this morning to retrieve my free drink reward - I ordered a grande quad soy caramel macchiato. The barista Daniel began making my drink and he filled up the cup with nonfat milk! I reminded him I ordered soy milk and he apologized and threw out the milk but then tried to use the same cup! I gave him a look which he understood and he changed the cup. Then he pulled and poured only two shots of espresso when I ordered a quad. I waited to see if he would add another two but he didn't. When he handed me my drink I asked him if there were four shots in there and he said yes. The color was so light and definitely didn't look or taste like four. I went back and told him that and he rolled his eyes at me and yelled "I'll make you another". I told him that wasn't necessary, that he could just pull two more shots and add it to my drink and he AGAIN yelled "I'll make you another one". At this point I was really embarrassed and uncomfortable as the Starbucks was full of patrons. I took my drink and left to continue the errands I had to run for the day but I will not be frequenting that Starbucks because of the terrible service I received from Daniel. read more

Child taking SAT nearby, so I found the closest coffee joint to hang out. Ordered water with my coffee, and while I was handed my coffee right away, water cup was placed "in queue". Everyone I was in line with either before or after me had left, my water was nowhere in sight. I inquired about it with the cashier, and she looked down after I finished my question and didn't look up again. Clearly decided it wasn't worth her time. Then at the pick up line, they were filling water orders for their own employee taking off. Seriously?? Don't offer water or charge for it, but it's foolish to make a free offering a customer issue. read more

this is my favorite store. the staff is always so very nice. they take the time to know you. they always smile and are actually happy to see you. the only draw back is that it is right by a high school so there are ALLOT of high school kids there. read more

pretty spot on with getting orders right and quickly. But often there are not many seats open and each time I am here someone is asking me or other customers to spare a dollar after they order a supercharged venti frap. There is usually homeless customers which is reasonable but panhandling inside the store should be shut down by the manager. read more
