His attitude is always 10/10, super friendly, the best worker I've come across. Anyone who says he's not friendly is lyinggggg. I frequent this Starbucks often and my drinks are always good however the customer service is very questionable. The girls are always very nice at this location however there is a male worker, I believe his name is Daniel, I could be wrong, but he's always taking orders and he's super short with the customer over the speaker and at the window and seems to have no respect for them. He always treats the customer like an after thought, I always leave shocked by the customer service when he's working. read more

This location, though difficult to get in and out of is very efficient. It has a drive thru and always seems to have all drinks and food available unlike other locations. Plentiful parking. I usually do the drive-thru and have had countless positive interactions. The barista is always so friendly. The long line today was a little daunting, but they kept it moving. They work efficiently. I was surprised how quickly the line went and the quality of my drink was still good. I've ordered the same thing from other places before where I can tell they let the espresso sit out for a bit too long. So today I wanted to try something else on their menu and was still impressed. Great location if you are looking to grab coffee right before entering the 78 freeway. The entrance/exit is on the same street that enters the freeway so no huge detour needed. They have a couple chargers for electric cars in their parking lot (not Tesla chargers) if needed. Staff are always super friendly and fast with the drinks. They always politely ask if I would like a straw or not. There is also plenty of space inside to sit if you don't want to go through the drive-thru. But I love the convenience of the way their drive-thru is set up. The inside of the store is also kept organized and clean. This location uses the good ol' square ice cubes and not the tiny round ones. Just FYI if you have a preference. The drinks are always made perfectly flavored so try the new seasonal drinks here if you would like to see if you'd like it or not. read more

Newer Starbucks, took them years to build it. I go hiking around the corner and saw the progress. The starbucks is huge. There's plenty of parking, a nice front patio and a drive through. We came for a refreshment. I ordered the strawberry lemonade Slushie drink. It was very sweet, so I left the ice melt and drank it afterwards. My husband got iced coffee,l with little cream and they out too much cream but he told them and they poured half out and re-added coffee. We ordered inside. Staff was friendly. i went in drive thru ordered, a grande strawberry acai with light ice and a banana creme matcha with light cold foam and cinnamon powder i just received the banana matcha with no topping or the cinnamon i asked for. As for the refresher it is a recurring problem that they dont add light ice, the ticket on the cup specifically says it for a reason not just for fun. I have noticed it is always the Barista in Glasses and dark curly hair catching an attitude. read more

Normally Starbucks is my go to place whenever I need to hang out for a bit so I found myself in San Marcos Starbucks today at 1:45. I walked up to the counter and there were 6 or 7 employees working over by the drive up window side. One of the guys came over to help me, I started ordering then realized he was on his headset talking to a drive thru customer. He then walked over to tell another employee to come in and help me. She gave me no eye contact and started inputting in the computer then finally said sorry what can I get you. I ordered a muffin and a coffee, she asked if I wanted it warmed and I said no, she asked if I wanted milk and I said yes, just a very little bit. When I got them, the muffin had been warmed and the coffee had a ton of cream in it. She obviously wasn't listening to me. Neither of these things are a dealbreaker but just annoying to pay $7 for 2 items that weren't right. Otherwise nice clean store, nice decor. read more

This is a brand new Starbucks on San Marcos Blvd! It has a drive-thru and a nice big parking lot. It's not even busy even though it's new! Highly recommend. They have 2 EV chargers, and 1 wheelchair accessible parking spot in front of the entrance. read more

I've been in numerous times since the place opened and my drinks with the exception of yesterday were on point yesterdays order was corrected by the manager Ona she made sure our drinks were correct. She asked for feedback and was receptive to it. I noticed the customer service has improved the times I've walked in. The baristas at five am are always pleasant. It requires a very easy set of right hand turns and is extremely convenient if you're using the mobile app. This destination is brand new and has good access to parking and drive thru logistics. Such a prime Starbucks! There has never been a huge line inside, the layout flows very nicely. The drive thru is equally as convenient and efficient! There is booth seating, a few additional tables, as well as outdoor seating. They have one bathroom. But again, this place is perfect to study or chat. The food is great and the drinks are just as good. You get what you expect, and the baristas are the sweetest! Shoutout to Daniel who helped me at the drive thru a few times this week. My sister and I ordered in the drive through and it was really clear what we ordered but was very disappointed when we got to the window and my drink size was wrong. I was not charged for a Vente as stated when ordered so clearly the girl heard our order wrong. Then we parked to go inside just to order chocolate croissant and it took them 10 minutes to get my sister's order out. I sat in the car while my sister went inside and saw 3 cars go through drive through and leave and she still had not receive her 1 item. But both times i've visited this location recently, the same person has taken my order in the drive thru (i believe their name is Daniel). Went in to check a gift card balance, load it up & get my triple star drink invitation than came via email. They were out of the hot drink I wanted do I ordered a decaf vegan Mocha. Good temp & taste, fairly fast service, open seating thinned out. I forget how small a small actually is. They were Oatlate sample (cold) on counter which I didn't like, temperature was part of it with lemon loaf samples, also good, moist. If you take the time to go inside, you might find a nice surprise and have a good experience like I did here (unlike the La Mesa store, which was not even close in comparison). Just another Starbucks. Newly built, near the Costco Business Center at Bent and San Marcos Blvd. This one is a drive through. Parking lot is set up in an unusual way, with only one entrance/exit on San Marcos Blvd. No entrance/exit on san Marcos Blvd. U turn is okay. Employees seemed stressed and maybe management needs to make sure all employees are doing their fair share of the work, but the cafe Americano was okay. The other Starbucks in the area are pretty bad, so I hope this one will be better. Update: This Starbucks still seems short staffed or maybe management is ineffective, but their drinks are fine and I like the convenience of the drive through. read more

I have never had a bad experience at Starbucks before... until I went here. I ordered at the drive-thru and completely forgot to order a pup cup. I thought to myself, "oh that's alright I can just order it at the window, it's just a little cup filled with whipped cream... nothing too complex." This was not the case. The girl at the window was not a friendly person at all. I had a drink with no ice so I asked for a sticker to cover it so it wouldn't spill in my car. She said "we don't have any" and scoffed... even though I saw one of employees behind her with a whole stack of them. Then, I asked her if I could get a pup cup because I forgot to order one at the speaker. She just blankly stared at me and looked beyond bothered that I had even asked. She didn't even acknowledge that I asked, she just walked away and grabbed one. When she gave it to me, she said with an attitude, "Next time ordering your pup cup at the speaker would be nice." Um...ok? I totally would have, but I forgot. I honestly didn't think me asking for a pup cup would cause a big fuss since it's literally just an espresso cup filled with whipped cream that's already made. To top it all off, I asked for a straw and she walked away and then just never came back. Will NOT be returning to this location. read more
