This was a bit of a mess. I don't go out for coffee too often but we stopped by before we started our drive home. First of all the restrooms and the store itself were very dirty. I'm not used to seeing the inside of a Starbucks being so gross and messy looking. Definitely a disappointment when you are paying $5 for a cup of coffee. It was also very slow service. I will say it was pretty steady in terms of customer traffic but hardly any drinks came out. There were 4 people working, they all seemed to be doing something but it didn't seem to be helping customers get their orders and leave. I ordered 2 drinks and was in here for at least 20+ minutes. The cost of the product usually means the employees are trained well and you get faster service here, not today. Next, a lot of the specialty ingredients were out of stock. Not fun to have to change your order a few times and then still have to make adjustments. On the bright side the ladies working were all very nice and the drinks were made correctly and were tasty. After living in NYC I was shocked because I am not used to this kind of poor experience. Starbucks, clean up and get it together! read more

I love the big tables at this Starbucks! It really has a nice warm feeling. Of course, the Starbucks products are the same wherever you go but the feel Is a lot different in all of them. I like that it has more of a community feeling than just a place to buy coffee. The only thing is that the parking is a hit of a challenge. Sometimes you have to park a bit over and walk but that's on! Exercise is good! I always love their iced teas ;no sugar) and my daughter usually gets some special drink! I say drink up! Excellent Starbucks. Simply can not be beat! From A to Z, this location in Ballston Spa, NY was primo! Clean, friendly, perfect Fall drinks prepared with gusto and detail. There were numerous tables that were spaced out and evenly separated so that Covid-conscious persons, could be equally as conscious about their distance. Wide open windows and all sorts of cups, coffee beans, gadgets, memorabilia and Starbucks stuff nicely for sale. The staff here was GREAT! All the employees were seemingly happy to be there, happy to be working for Starbucks and 100% dedicated to customer care. When I am back in Ballston Spa, NY I will definitely make a beeline to come back and check in on this Starbucks. It is a corner location - we loved that little detail. Perfect setting. I called Starbucks off of Broadway today (351 Broadway Saratoga Springs, NY 12866) right before they closed for the evening. The shop was very nice, tidy and clean. I wanted to specifically call out one of your employees, Ethan. I usually get the Iced Passion Tango® Tea Lemonade, but the store was out of the Passion Tango and Ethan said that it should be replenished by tomorrow. Then I asked Ethan what his favorite refresher was, and he said he liked to mix the mango and lemonade. So, I gave it a go! I thoroughly enjoyed this drink, and because of the excellent customer service from Ethan, I may have found my new favorite Starbucks refresher! Was sort of chastised in front of employees by the manager here because I asked them to hold off on making my 2nd drink for a buy one get one free deal they were doing. Inconsistent. Crowded. Not a fan of the new set up. Whenever I'm in line here, I feel claustrophobic from the racks and racks of foodstuffs. Please back off the upselling of packaged food. I come here for coffee and a snack, no need to make it difficult to navigate the store. What is this a corn maze, I mean coffee maze? This location is often crowded so I often do mobile ordering but there's still a line at that end of the counter too (pickup counter). Not sure employees police the people hanging out in here. I often see teenagers not making a purchase and taking up seats from paying customers during all seasons. They just come in and loiter so they can charge all their devices. This location also demonstrates inconsisteny in employees knowing their own Starbucks policies. As a gold member I should receive a free coffee refill on any drink I buy. I can choose hot or cold, according to my knowledge of the rules. Some employees here argue about this and some don't. Look, I spend a lot of money here, don't give me a hard time about a refill that my gold status entitles me to. Train your people better. Seriously. I keep coming back to this location due to its convenience but making minor changes could improve the place to the point I'd come here a whole lot more. read more

Meh, Starbucks... They are consistent-except for the ones in Target-but that's a whole other review. This Starbucks might as well be the one in Glens Falls or one in Atlanta for that matter. They consistently make me a great Triple Grande sugar-free vanilla latte with 2 Splendas, (No carbs and only 90 calories) but the place is always a mess. The floors, the bathrooms; newspapers and wrappers and napkins and dirt and sand and on and on and on.... Even the cork board by the back door with local dog walkers and weeks past events and missing cat notices... what's going on in this place? Skidmore girls and boys making a mess and their domestic help not around to pick up after them? Or are those pesky Corinth chipmunks dropping their peanut shells on the floor? IDK and don't care: Someone grab a mop and a broom please. I may live in Porter Corners, but I don't live in a barn! read more

Summary- An OK Starbucks. Lacks size/seating considering it's location in downtown Toga. Hi's- Staff are generally very ok. Usually staffed well. Low's- No outdoor seating and lack of seating inside considering. All Starbucks Espresso tastes burntish to me. The machines they use are no replacement for a well training person with a old school espresso machine. They put Iced Coffee in the same queue as "drinks" meaning I have to wait for everyone's "triple upside down latte mocha quad pump diabetes maker" to be done before I can get my coffee poured over ice. Consistently good with friendly, efficient folks doing the barista and other work. Happened to be here twice in the past 2 days with a friend that is a Starbucks addict. He was very happy on both occasions. The tables and chairs are very clean and there's plenty of seating. The only issue is parking - but it's on the main strip in Saratoga....parking is what it is in this town. Today it was exceptionally busy but the line moved very quickly. I've been to other Starbucks locations that take an extraordinarily long time to get the drinks out....even when the lines are not long. These guys are very friendly, they make great drinks and pay attention to detail. The place is usually crowded so the service isn't as quick as most locations - have ordered on the app and had to wait for my drink a few times -- can't really hold it against them, its more the location - they have an awesome spot on broadway with a neat view. The new layout is a little confusing but once you get over it, the place is cozy. It is always clean and when it quiets down its a nice place to work. During this visit I tried another on of the drinks on my Starbuck Drink challenge list and it was the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino (450 calories, 73 grams sugar) and I was interesting- it was ok and the pumpkin spice flavor wasn't very spicy but is wasn't as memorable as the S'mores frappuccinno. I honestly don't think there is anything that can out tasty that smores Frappuccinno I will keep checking, but I haven't even found a close second. read more

This Starbucks has been KILLING it since downtown Saratoga reopened. The service has been consistently friendly, and my drinks are made perfectly every time - in the past, I'd definitely say this location had some consistency issues. Props to the employees here for keeping a great attitude even when dealing with a pandemic - and rude customers on Sunday mornings who are clearly from out of town. I love my local coffee places, but I also love my Starbucks for a quick, convenient cold brew pick me up. You guys rock!! read more

This Starbucks really grinds my beans. Pros: + For post Saratoga dinner coffee, this is my go to spot, I just happen to like the boldness of Starbucks coffee, but their Pike Place is good too. + The location on broadway is helpfully with in walking distance, and still makes for decent people watching. Cons: - The hours on the door don't seem to match the hours they work. Several times in the past few months I've shown up at night when they claim to be open, and they aren't. It's incredibly frustrating to walk here and have a closed sign greet me. - The bathrooms. Why do these always seem to be occupied? Are they really occupied, or are they locked... Makes me wonder. - The space needs a renovation. This used to be a better location, and I think the locals are realizing this too. Recently, it seems Uncommon Grounds is catching all the run off and creating a more lively community gather pointing. The entire experience is somewhat lackluster and still declining from its former glory. read more

LETS TALK ABOUT YOGURT!!! The manager of this location seems to have a malevolence towards Starbucks Yogurt and this is upsetting due to their yogurt being such great healthy option for those of us looking for something more (in upstate ny) than chicken wings and hamburgers for lunch. Ive spoken to the staff on several occasions and I receive the same rhetoric "People will get sick if they expire, they're hard to keep track of (expiration dates), they don't sell (even though when they are in stock they seem to primarily consist of "Greek Yogurt" and not the "Lemon Raspberry" or "Berry" that I have heard asked for on numerous occasions). I have heard the staff speak to a person (I'm assuming the management) on my behalf - these meetings take place in the back room - and I have heard a voice use sarcasm and disdain when explaining that there will not be any yogurt for awhile. I dont understand the lack of brand recognition by the management team in this particular location. I don't understand that, an item that sells when on the shelf, is not stocked. I hope this little matter finds resolution (and believe me I know that its small in the grand scheme of things, but its enough to keep me from visiting this particular location). This location does not seem to honor the complimentary refill (Starbucks Card Holder Perk) for hot coffees which is upsetting. It seems as if the manager is trying to win quotas and not the hearts of the starbucks patrons. read more

I love coming into Saratoga Springs. I also love that there is a Starbucks here... as far as bucks' go... this one is extremely fast. It always shocks me how consistently nice they are to customers. Being in the industry, I am going to have to ask for their secret. Anywho - They have a small outdoor patio, which was nice, and the inside is very spacious. Extremely clean and typical for a Starbucks, very busy. I ordered a tall mocha latte, my mom some soy venti latte? Like I said, they are fast, but that day I wish they were a little quicker. I was then served by this young blond woman this morning who kept coming back apologizing for the delays, but nothing went any faster. I have recently started stopping by here after my morning workout- completely obliterating all the hard worked off calories I just burned , but I do love my Chai Latte's so if I have to workout to support my habit I guess it's worth it! This Starbucks see's a good deal of people and the staff are busy but friendly when I stop in. It's a very clean place, and I have to say this is one of my more regular Starbucks stops. However, the introduction once again of the treat receipt is now making me more of a Starbuck's Fiend than usual- I applaud the treat receipt in one breath and only slightly curse you all in the next. Went to Starbucks because a client gave me a gift certificate so my coffee was free. Have to say I went four mornings in a row right from the gym so I was still dressed in my sweat pants and T shirt. Don't know if the staff was so unfriendly because of my attire or my age, I am a senior citizen and probably don't fit the Starbucks stereotype. The one thing I Do know is coffee. I am a dark roast fiend. Starbucks dark roast tastes watered down. One day out of the four the flavor was almost there but, not quite. The best dark roast in Saratoga is at Uncommon Grounds. Now that my free coffee is gone, there is no reason to go to Starbucks. I can be found at Uncommon Grounds where the staff is very friendly, the coffee is awesome and the oversized sofas are great. read more

Out of all the Starbucks I've been to this one tends to be a chore to step into. Not too long ago the interior was renovated, while the extra open space is nice on the eyes they seemed to have eliminated some of the seating in the process. The building was already cramped and now the the tables are pushed together even more. You'd think after all these years they would've installed a proper vestibule to prevent cold winter air rushing in and the summer heat out. In the center of the room they installed a large single table but this is quite odd because not everyone wants to sit next to strangers in a dinner-table fashion; so half of the table is unoccupied. Good luck during track season. As for the food and drinks, they're pretty much what you'd expect from Starbucks. consistent, delicious but nothing exceptionally special to me unlike the other coffee shop options Broadway offers. I will always come back for a green tea Frappucino but during my past few visits the coffee tends to have a slight burnt taste to it so I'm grabbing coffee at other local cafes. read more

As this is the ONLY place I get coffee when I am on the go, and as my friends already know I am a Starbucks addict, I always enjoy my experience while waiting in line for my morning "cup 'o joe"! The atmosphere at this particular location is quite relaxing with their comfortable chairs around the warm fire in the winter when I sip on my their seasonal Pumpkin Spice Latte, or their outdoor seating for those sunny days, when I decide to enjoy a refreshing Green tea & Lemonade! The baristas here are always friendly and know exactly what I want when I arrive as they swipe my Starbucks Gold Card! (probably a sure sign I drink too much coffee here) Their morning breakfast wraps, muffins, and other sugar-infused treats are an excellent complement to my coffee during my morning commute. So why only 4 stars for a 5 star favorite? Simple, the prices! Yes, I will continue to buy Starbucks overpriced and well flavored coffees, but the prices for just a black coffee are higher than anything else in town! Once you get over this unfortunate fact, I promise you will enjoy the endless variates of coffee, lattes, and teas you can create at Starbucks, and through this new addiction have your blood type turn into "caramel-mocha" like the rest of us! See you there! UPDATE: 1/11/13 - This location had a complete remodel before the holidays, and it looks fantastic! The overall theme seems to be more dark espresso wood grains with brick accents. The entrance is more open and inviting, which also eliminates the unattractive "snake-like" waiting lines that would form throughout the store. There is now what appears to be a large dining room table at the center of the floor for larger groups of people to meet, as well as additional seating. I'm disappointed they removed the fireplace, but I'm extremely pleased with the new look at my favorite local Starbucks! (This addition earned an extra star to make it a 5 star favorite!) read more

Starbucks is Starbucks. I try to patronize local but sometimes Starbucks is convenient, and when I do visit it's always a satisfactory experience. I like their coffee, their specialty drinks are a fun and calorific indulgence and I am a fan of their iced tea. Especially the passionfruit iced tea. Solid. Also and this isn't a review of the food but I have a friend who works there part time for the health insurance (bonus points for offering health insurance to their part time workers- rare in the food industry!) and she has only good things to say about them as an employer. Stopped for a quick bathroom break and some iced coffee while visiting family. Maybe it's just me but it wasn't very obvious where the bathrooms are. However it was clean so that was a plus. The line was short and moved quickly. The barista also marked the iced coffees so I could easily distinguish which was mine and which was my husband's. Enjoyed the outdoor seating. Its fine. Decent really. I dont know. Ive been here dozens of times and have never seen any unusually violent altercations. Almost all of the patrons dont have a bad odor. Sometimes theres a line, sometimes there isnt. They make and sell coffee and snacks basically, and then people either ingest them there or leave. I dont know what you want to hear. Its Starbucks, you know what youre getting yourself into. The staff at this location are disgustingly rude, I've been in a few times & each time I've either experienced or witnessed staff rudeness, things like getting drinks wrong & giving people attitude when the customer tries to address it. I'm going to agree with a review from Lance H. that mentions there's really no reason to Yelp a coffee shop. Everyone knows Starbucks and what they offer. But his review didn't take into account the amazing team that works at this particular store in Saratoga on the corner of Broadway and Washington. The men and women behind the counter are what makes a trip to this Starbucks worthwhile. They go out of their way to provide great customer service. They truly want your coffee experience to be top notch. I ordered my usual online and went in to pick it up. It tasted off. They remade it.
