I'm a regular Starbucks customer. But rarely ever to this location. Simply because, the customers service isn't that great & they're always running out of stuff (or they just don't want to make it so they say they don't have it) i went to this location twice in one week, the first time they said they didn't have anymore apple juice. The 2nd time they said they don't serve the passion teas warm? When I order it at other locations all the time. Which you can get the tea warm or iced. Idk, Very odd. It seems like they don't even know what they're doing half the time. If I were you I'd travel a few extra min to the Sand City location which is my favorite out of all of them. read more

I usually stop at the seaside location, but depending on traffic I'll just come all the way through to this spot for my tall iced coffee and maybe a spinach wrap. I make up my mind on location right as I am entering marina, I don't get reception after so I order online ahead of time. I don't mind if my food gets cold or anything like that. It's frustrating though because I am always asked to confirm if I'm sure because I'm more than 10 min away. I confirm. And I usually still have to wait. Which sucks because I order way ahead of time. It feels like drive through is a priority. Which is fine. But if my drink sat there forever and I complained about it being watered down, it would be my fault for not picking it up on time. Totally get it. But my last order, i ordered at 7:53 i got there at 8:06 and didn't leave until 8:14 20 minutes for a spinach wrap and iced tall coffee.. lame sauce. I'm not one of those people who rush in and rush them because iiiim running late. I know it can get hectic. But 20 minutes is a long time by any Starbucks standard. Wish they were either staffed better or just worked a little more efficiently. read more

We walked over to this Starbucks from the Monterey tides hotel to get some tea and walked in through the front and made us really uncomfortable and told us to leave and go through the drive thru then the guy working the drive through said he'd help us then a taller guy with a dark fro comes out and yells at us saying you guys need to get out of here like we were lingering bums or something. Poor Service -- I have been at this location many times before, it is usually very crowded but I wanted a drive through this time so I chose this location. At 6am on a Sunday morning, the drive thru window service was efficient, courteous, and friendly. And the coffee was just as I ordered it. From what I saw through the window, the place seemed clean too. I waited 10 minutes and when they handed it to me at that point they informed me that they did not have non fat mocha. Really? The workers here are very sweet but sooooo completely off! It's hard to give less than 3 stars to this place because our usual order of grande lite peppermint mocha frap was pretty damn good. So what about the workers? My god, it took us almost 5 mins to order! The lady could not get our order correct!! My bf had to repeat our drink order at least 3 to 4 times before she finally got it! But it didn't end there, the barista took forever with making the drinks. We probably waited about another 5-10mins! AND when we got the drink they got our order wrong AGAIN...at this point it's for about the 5th time or something..lost count since it kept happening. But the barista was nice enough to remake our order and offered the wrong drink to us too. We gave that drink away to another customer though and made her day! :) This isn't the first time that I've received such slow and off service. The drive-through is a blessing and a curse. Actually it makes it more of a deathtrap. This is completely the wrong location for a drive-through. Only reason I gave two stars is because it's close to me, in the past I had some good experiences and I've managed to make it out of there without an accident happening However I was told by a barista that car accidents are common there and due to the fact that a lot of people don't look up from their cell phones. It bothers me that they don't even ask you if you want a receipt because often I need one for gift card balance or work reasons. Also I don't understand why if fast food restaurants cant have tip jars out then why do they have one out at the drive-through. It seems like Lately the people working there are so busy talking to each other that they barely acknowledged the customer. Today the guy just handed me my drink and said here. It tasted horrible and I ordered it with soy because I'm allergic to milk but I'm positive there was milk in it because I got sick later. I love Starbucks, I do, they have a consistent product. But this location is bad. The drive thru is a joke, it's wrapped around the corner, access is bad and the wait is long. Why they closed their other location in Seaside (the one with good parking) I'll never know. Because unless you hit this place at 7 am, good luck getting a coffee in under 15 minutes. read more

Okay I'm going to tell you my experience today 5/24/14 at 11:55AM there was this girl who was very unprofessional gave me a terrible service and she didn't even gave me what I ordered she only gave me plain coffee I know just because my ethnicity and before that, there was a white guy with a beard who was ordering coffee and he got a good service smh. First, let me tell you everything you need to know about this place, if you are a tourist you need to read this, as you can see all the reviews above mine are saying OMG The staff is very friendly, they work hard than any other startbucks and they are very good etc etc etc, BUT all this reviews come from white people, yeah I said it, from white people, this particular starbucks is very RACIST they treat the white people like Gods and the minorities like sh*t, and I have seen it!!! You know this place is terrible and they should be professional with ALL the customers, even if their customers are from other race such as African American, Philipino, Chinese, Mexican etc.. No wonder this startbucks is always full of white people and not minorities. If you are white this is you place, but if you are a tourist or one of the minorities that I mentioned, you are going to be treated like sh*t. This Starbucks is conveniently located, but that's about it. For the most part the drinks are sub par compared to other locations, really rude and snarky baristas, and horrible parking. Park at the shopping center next door and walk over, or fill up your gas tank and settle in for a long wait if you use the drive through. My advice is double check your order if you use the Drive through, as they get orders wrong about 50% of the time. Not sure why this Starbucks is so horrible. read more

I go into this Starbucks everyday Monday thru Friday. I order the same items everyday, and with one particular person that works there, whenever i ask for a bag for my items, he snaps the bag open, shoves my drink in my hand, doesn't even bother to say thank you for your patronage, and just has a scowl on his face. Nightmare parking and drive thru!! Great location, I love coming on my way to work, but unfortunately 9/10 the parking lot is full and the drive thru line goes out to the street. today the line was out to the street so I pulled into the parking lot hoping to find a spot. Of course I didn't so had to maneuver a way to get back to the street because once you pull in your basically trapped inside. I was backing up and apparently got close to a parked car and was approached by an employee who accused me of hitting her coworkers car(whom she was parked next to). First of all, the employees should not be allowed to take up all the parking spots when there are literally only 6 available! So I get out of the car to assess "the damage" and she points out her coworkers damage on her bumper and insists that It was from me because "she walks by her car everyday and this was NEVER there!" Mind you this girls bumper looks like she has been involved in multiple car accidents and never repaired. I assured her there was no way it was from my car because A. My car was perfect and B. The damage didn't even match up with my car (very clear to see). I even pointed out her bumper was even melting off in one part and she said "that's from your muffler because it's hot". LMAO! I didn't have time to argue with her being that I was on my way to work and had just intended to stop for a quick cup of coffee, so I went inside to speak with her friend. Thankfully her friend was honest and shrugged it off because she is well aware to the very obvious scratches and dents on her car. So annoying that this girl totally wasted my time with her nonsense and I didn't get my coffee fix because of it. even though i always have bad luck and get here when the drive thru is over flowing, i still wait because i love this starbucks over any others in town.. with the morning or lunch hour rush, the baristas are alway friendly, asking how my day is going and more. this is great knowing how busy they probably are, and my drinks are always perfect, never too bitter or sweet depending on what i order. my fave pre-work stop. read more
