I'm honestly surprised this Starbucks location is even still open. It's never busy, and after multiple visits, I understand why! the drinks are consistently terrible. My Frappuccino was almost entirely foam with barely any ice. When I politely asked the barista to remake it, she responded with, "Do you even know what a Frappuccino is?" which was incredibly rude and unprofessional. What made the experience even worse is that the same day, I ordered two drinks in person and tipped. I also placed a separate online order for two additional drinks last minute for my family, which I didn't tip on. It honestly felt like the drinks from the online order were purposely made poorly compared to the ones I ordered in person, which is not okay. This isn't a one-time issue either. I've been to this location three times, and every visit has been disappointing. On top of that, I ordered a specific bag of coffee, and they gave me the wrong one. When my husband went back to fix it, they took the returned bag and put it right back on the shelf before giving us the correct one. That's honestly disgusting!!! there's no way to know if a returned product has been tampered with. Not to mention every time I get a drink here of the lid is dirty. Between the poor quality drinks, rude service, and questionable hygiene practices, I will not be coming back. read more

Came in the morning for a warm me up drink. Barista was super sweet and the coffee was amazing. Side note- if you're a walk in the entrance is the opposite side of the drive thru. Just go left instead of right if you're coming in from the East :) read more

Worst service ever. Has a drive thru. I ordered something so simple: iced black peach tea lemonade. Would not tell you the price instead "I'll see you at the window." I have been sitting in the drive thru lane for 22 minutes. Cashier person someone switched. Did not even know if I paid or not. Finally received the drink and it came in a hot cup. Shoved the drink in my face. With a sharpie drawn smiley face on the cup. Uhhh. Makes me super suspicious if there's a spit on the bottom. Skip. This place is horrible. read more

A great and local Starbucks location on your way to downtown Monterey, the Naval Post Graduate School, or heading out of town. It's a newer Starbucks which is very roomy and the team is always helpful. Coffee always hits the spot in the morning along with a breakfast sandwich. Careful as you leave the location though as Del Monte Ave is pretty busy at time and a left turn could be pretty difficult! read more

The place doesn't give on the main road, but is it huge inside and facing east. Meaning if you come here in the morning or noon it's full of light and very warm. Very busy place. The parking is ample and busy because it's a shopping center area. I've been to other Starbucks in the area and some of them are teeny tiny ones with a few tables. This place inside can accommodate 60 people easily. Service was relatively quick. I saw many students and many families meeting at this place and they were all middle-class looking and some of them actually seem to be going to wedding or something. But I message to my neighbor about this place. He said he goes there for studying a lot. read more

Today I was in the drive thru for almost 20 minutes. Things moved so slow and I could not understand why. When I could see the window the people were getting the wrong drinks and giving them back. Long line. Moved at a medium pace. Grande black iced tea with 3 Stevia ordered. I have a free one! Got up to the front and the worker started to hand over what looked an iced coffee. I Have been to many Starbucks in this area but this is The BEST Starbucks! We ordered our hot and cold drinks from the app. And we went to the drive through to pick up our order and there were no wait time. The drinks were ready when we arrived. Service : 5/5 ========== - The people who work there are nice and super friendly. - Our drinks were definitely better than other Starbucks. - We did not go inside but ambience was looking pretty nice and clean from outside. Drinks : 5/5 ========== - We ordered light iced Kiwi Starfruit Lemonade and Hot white chocolate mocha. - Both drinks were right spot on. The only thing is, I would say is if you ask for light on ice, just double confirm as we got little more ice in our drink but other than that drinks were super delicious! This location is pretty nice as soon as you get in you can tell that the ambience is pretty kept up as well of course you have to stay with Covid measures and spread out when you sit down follow the lines and then order your drink currently midday there are not a lot of people inside the store but the drive-through is very very long so we decided to come inside and get our drinks they taste great and I need extra caramel in mind. read more

The best Starbucks in the area! Have been to others... they're ok but not the best in terms of service. Just a standard Starbucks. I went to the drive through and although the wait was around 5-8 mins, it was nice being able to sit in the car and wait instead of having to go inside. Service: 5/5 Barista was super nice and friendly. Our drink didn't have milk in it and we asked and they gave it to us. On par or even better than your average Starbucks. Drink: 5/5 Ordered the mango dragonfruit refresher with lemonade as well as the nitro cold brew. Both were amazing and the drinks were spot on. whenever i go to my favorite location 2020 Del Monte and Palo Verde this Trainer named Kyra, always messes up order and whenever I ask her nicely if she can remake it she gives me attitude and walks off. then I have to ask for another barista to remake my drink. The baristas are generally pretty friendly but they also take a longer than normal time to make drinks. That's both inside and drive thru. It got worse with COVID restrictions. I came here 5 days in a row for their hot matcha latte. Yes, I wanted to got to local coffee spots to get one, but this was more convenient and right down the road from my hotel. I attempted a few coffee shops but they either didn't serve matcha lattes or the parking wouldn't fit the massive beast rental my husband got. Every morning the same people made my latte and the same guy served me at the window. They were quick, friendly and always had smiles. Sure the place is nice but the service is poor. It was a chaos. When I entered this store there was a long waiting line ahead and there were 7 of them working. I think they were confused as to what station they should be at. When it was already my time to order my drink, the cashier left me to make another customer's drink. No wonder you cannot order through the mobile app because they were really behind. Then the barista called my name that my drink was already ready but upon checking the name on it, it wasn't my drink. She asked me to wait further. I sat to the table next to the counter and they just keep apologizing. The cashier kept apologizing; the barista kept apologizing for mixing up the drinks. Clearly, it was a mess. read more

I chose to go to this Starbucks bc I needed to get some work done, & the interior is about as good as it gets in Monterey for working in a coffee shop, HOWEVER,...as my Macbook was dying, i went to plug it in & the charger falls right out of the outlet sockets...it does not hold or stay in the outlet to save its life it really defeated the purpose of having outlets everywhere if the Apple charger falls right out. Alas, once my laptop died, i just had to leave. Not sure what the solution to this is, but it was disappointing, as there are not many coffee shops in the area to go to when wanting to work on your laptop. read more

If your looking for a drive through Starbucks or a Starbucks to hang out at outside or inside and if you're from out of town...go to this location. Just opened on Sept 30, 2019. Large, with high ceilings, lots of seating including small area with soft chairs. Nice architecture, layout, and interior design.
