Had a really weird interaction today where a customer rudely sat at my table without an interaction, request just simple entitlement. Nowhere have I ever encountered such rude behavior. More surprisingly, the service team was pretty ok with the customer being rude to me and suggested I had to be ok with it. Disappointed the service team couldn't do their job of mediating to at least get this rude customer to at least be a normal human and ask if I could join them. read more

I went in with my 3-year old who was almost peeing himself. I asked if I could use the bathroom but instead of helping a dude who worked there wanted to lecture me about how the restroom is for paying costumers. Don't waste your time at this Starbucks, just get your coffee from the one in the Safeway across the street, or another coffee shop. The interior is nice but full of wasted blank space. The staff isn't present except for one nice woman barista apologizing for people not being around and having to wait to place an order. This Starbucks is usually good quality and service but this review is more about their seemingly nonsensical choice to remove the front of store pickup for mobile orders during COVID and move it to the far rear corner. So what you have here is a huge empty space, devoid of breathing humans, and then a ton of people crowded together in the back corner. Whose idea was that? I don't really see the point of closing the seating area for "safety" if this is how pickups are handled. I get you have to work with what you got but it seems like there might be some room to work with here. Shoutout to service workers tho, it's not on them. You all have a hard job. This hipster SBX is located, ironically, in the neighborhood where I grew up...back in the "old days" when nobody had ever heard of Starbucks or had any idea what it would eventually become. Fast forward to modern times, and this lovely location sits at one of Upper Queen Anne's trendiest corners. It's flanked by plenty of street parking (on most days) and even boasts an outdoor seating area that doesn't appear to get much use this time of year. Inside is a vast, well-lit space bustling with the activity of local folks hanging out with friends, getting some work done, or just chillaxing in one of the many oversized chairs. There's even a little area in the back for kids to hang out on kid-sized furniture - I've never seen this at a Starbucks before and it was adorable! (The toddler enjoying coffee with her mama appeared quite happy with it as well.) This Starbucks is a great quick-stop is one of my fave stops when I'm atop The Hill. The service is fast, friendly, and helps me get back on the road (java in hand) quickly. read more

This is on of the best Starbucks I have ever been to. The baristas are wonderful. Not only do they provide excellent customer service, but as a regular at the store, it is clear they have great rapport with one another and each seems to genuinely enjoy their work. Every time I come into the store I am greeted with a smile and I can genuinely feel that they are happy to see me. Often, when they are not too busy they will take time to chat with me about my work or other things I might be doing. As I am a remote worker, I often come into the store to do my work, and I have noticed them doing the same with other customers that are regulars. Despite the fact this location is just another store of a massive corporation, this particular Starbucks has successfully achieved the atmosphere of a small, local coffee shop that is integrated into the community where it feels like the people who work there actually know and care about you. As far as Starbucks go, this is the best. Though they could have more merchandise. read more

There is a coffee shop just about every block up here on Queen Anne, so why would anyone choose Starbucks? Let's say for a moment, Starbucks is a local coffee spot... okay, while that's true, it's a nationwide chain now. Instead, lets concentrate on the fact it's spacious (when it's not busy), fast (when it's not packed), and clean (pretty much all the time)... if you read between the lines, this place sounds terrible, but it's actually a good place to hang out, do some studying work, and just know you are getting a decent cup of coffee. Sure across the street is Storyville, the BEST coffee in Seattle, but sometimes you just need some good ole' fashioned Starbucks. Yes, I don't mind the coffee here, because it's a good cup of coffee. Take all my money!! I am almost here every single day. It's clean with comfortable seating (outlets!!!). It's busy in the morning with the occasional romp of noisy/ adorable children (it gets loud). Super friendly staff. There is free 2 hour street parking outside. I especially enjoy all the natural sunlight as is a corner store with large windows. They keep this location very clean. First time in 20 plus years in a Seattle . That such a poor mistake gets made. I had 230$ worth of gift cards on Jan 24.20. BUT my 192$ left are useless . Even with a receipt they gave me , and with an empty card of "Zero " balance ... ******The cashier either did not concentrate loading the transaction well or tossed my Loaded card at the end .***** Until now, nothing resolved . If you want a crowded, non-relaxing Starbucks, go here. Overstimulating!!! AHHH. People doing a million things at once. Personally, this is not how I like to drink my coffee. Seating: While there are lots of people here, this is a pretty big Starbucks with ample seating. From long tables, to small ones to bar stools, and even a kids area, they have more seating and a varied type as well. Service: Again, this location is busy which means lines. Coffee is very important. It could make or break your day. This location is a favorite and despite how crazy busy it can get the staff is always friendly. Come here enough and they will remember you. This type of service is what makes a great space and also make you feel at home and coming back regularly. Note: Parking at Safeway now tickets. Boston will also ticket and has a 2 hour limit. I tend to go down to 1st/2nd to park and there are currently no time limitations on this. read more

My favorite starbucks in seattle so far! It's usually pretty quiet and not as crowded as some others. The people are friendly and it's kept clean. There's a cozy fireplace. It's spacious and there's plenty of table spots for those that are working and comfy chairs for the readers! The noise level is on the quiet side - probably the most quiet of the starbs I've been to in Seattle and thus conducive for the worker. This is like a very hall way feeling Starbucks. In width it isn't very wide but very deep and long. Lots of places to sit and relax. The tables along the window side walls a totally to close to each other. Wish they'd spread it out more but I guess you get more tables squishing people. The tables and seats by the wall close to the barista stand are cozy. As for drinks it's like the standard which is good. Employees are nice and location is keep pretty clean. read more

I visit this location when I'm in town and usually it's great. The barista who took my order got it wrong - iced version to be warm and it wasn't. The barista making it gave it to me iced and I explained that's not what I ordered. She'd been slammed with a large mobile order a few orders before mine and had told customers that were ahead of me that she was trying to keep up. So with mine, she didn't even say anything when I explained the order was wrong and just began slamming things around in her work space. I'd even thanked her - twice - during the interaction but she didn't even have the decency to say a single word to me. Wasn't my fault her co-worker got my $6.50 order wrong. I wasn't rude to her either - in fact, I'm often told I'm very kind. I really needed her to be kinder to me, to acknowledge my existence at least. I'm not sure why she took out her frustration from the larger order on me - silence and slamming things around is the height of passive aggression. Hope she's at least nicer to other customers going forward. read more

This starbucks has such a near & dear place to me since it's such a community landmark in Queen Anne. I see a lot of the same people grabbing coffee everyday since I work just across the street from here and the fact that the baristas remember faces is such a nice touch. Starbucks coffee is pretty standard, (you know what you're gonna get) but the reason I choose this over Storyville or Ladros nearby is because it's one of the more relaxed and friendly Starbucks locations I've been to. I can always rely that I can study or meet people here. They just need to add the nitro tap here and it's a winner. read more

Not the cleanest or the nicest Sbucks I've been to in recent weeks but definitely a-ok. Had a meeting here for work with a nearby business and this was a great location for a quick chat. This specific location is popular so if you're meeting someone plan a few mins early and try to scope out tables or soft seating. Those of us who live in Seattle are lucky enough to realize that "a Starbucks is a Starbucks is a Starbucks" isn't always true here. Given the number of local stores with new (and more environmentally-friendly) remodels, and the efforts to be better incorporated into neighborhoods, it's possible to encounter a fair amount of diversity within the corporate chain. This was my first visit to the remodeled Queen Anne Avenue store. It looks great (and festive) inside, and they have a Clover machine! Which those of you who know me know means I have to stop in for my fix, especially since Peet's is no longer across the street. But...despite the lure of the Clover machine, this Starbucks feels fairly cramped. I bet that can translate into "cozy" on a weekday morning or sometime other than the lunch rush on Sunday; there are lots of tables, but not much space in which to move (especially when several people are waiting for drinks). And...even so, I am a fan of the service here. As sometimes happens when ordering Clover coffee, the barista forgot he'd turned the machine on and walked away, with my cup of deliciousness imprisoned across the counter from me. The horror....When I waved someone else down (politely!) he didn't hesitate to apologize (even though it wasn't his drink order), and even gave me a coupon for a free drink on a future visit. That's not the first time my Clover drink's been forgotten by a barista, but it IS the first time I've been taken care of in such a nice way as recompense. read more

It has been a new habit to roll in here on the weekends- grab a top pot donut- score a Stranger/Weekly from the stack in the back- and chill out in the outdoor seating. This place is perfect for that. The baristas are the perfect mix of laid back and friendly. The drinks come fast and the green tea latte is made just right. This location seems to always have more sandwiches and to-go lunches to choose from then others. Their coffee is fine- I like it- but I don't love it. read more

I won't review the coffee- because, duh. It's Starbucks and uniformity is thier game. This Starbucks has the Clover machine. I got an iced coffee from here using this machine, since it's the best way to tell the difference between thier brewed and espresso, if you care about that type of thing. This starbucks is populated by a lot of queen-anne stroller mommies, if you know what I mean, and the usual laptop people hogging the corners. Lots of online daters meet here after work: makes for fun people watching! They have recently renovated to include more seating. Love this Sbux location! Heart of upper Queen Ann, which means its always killer busy, but they keep pretty vast amount of seating so it really all comes down to timing and luck in finding parking. I love Starbucks. And What do I love more than Starbucks? Clover Starbucks. And this one's a Clover. As Stephanie M said, the store is gorgeous and I love the feel from the "natural" looking decor. There are lots of places to sit and a lovely fireplace, but I rarely see a seat open-this place is always, always full. Baristas are nice and though the lines can get long, they're patient. There is however a Starbucks inside Safeway across the street if the wait is ridiculous and you don't plan on getting a Clover coffee anyway. read more

Very nice seating area. I'm in love with the extra large dining room style table that seats at least 20 people. Lots of comfy chairs and free wi-fi. There is a small outside seating area as well. We come here EVERY weekend. So much that they know us and know our chai orders. That's why we love it. The baristas know us, are super friendly, always know what we want and are fast. The remodel they did was nice. Especially the windows, but I can't stand sitting in there for more than 10 minutes, as the seating is so uncomfortable. read more
