The layout inside is really nice and clean. The place looks very cozy overall and there are plenty of plush chairs for you to sit down and enjoy your coffee at. The baristas here are nice every time I have come here. This is a great study place or a good hangout. I have pretty low standards for coffee and service. It takes quite a bit to get me to write a review whether it be good or bad but I just had a really terrible experience. I came here to study and just grab a cup of coffee. I chose here because it's big and open with lots of tables. I can always count on Starbucks for consistency. However, I just can't get past the music. Every time I come in here they are playing some terrible pop music that is so loud and heavy on the bass I can't even cover up the sound with my own music fro my headphone. It's super frustrating. Coffee shops should be quiet places for people to study, read, or socialize. Not compete with the noice of crappy music. If you need a quiet place to go don't go in Queen Anne you'd be better off at el Diablo or somewhere else. This will be the last time I try Starbucks again. read more

As a partner, it was amazing being able to sit near the bar area and talk to the partners at this location. The barista on bar, Suzanne, was absolutely amazing and connected with all of the customers and made sure that the drinks were to every customer's liking. Suzanne even had me do a coffee tasting of one of the Starbucks Reserve coffees, Nicaragua La Roca, with some of the partners that were on the floor. I can't wait to make this Starbucks a new home location for me; the staff was welcoming and truly made an effort in making their store a third place. read more

This place is the most poorly run Starbucks I've ever been to. It has great customer service and the people are friendly but the coffees are horrible. I'm not just a one time customer either. I live in queen Anne and go here multiple times a week. I finally started going to Safeway because their coffees are 100x better. I don't know what it is but they cannot make coffee!!! I've also had horrible experiences with the male baristas saying my drink was taken when he just forgot to make it. Much better vibe than a few weeks ago. Things seem more organized and staff friendlier than on previous visits. I love coming in the evenings when the "fun crew" is working. This SBUX is the single greatest store in the entirety of the Northwest, solely due to one enthusiastic partner. He goes by the name of "Raja", but responds readily to almost every name. The only way I can properly describe his talent is to tell you about the Black Coffee he made for me, recently. Now, you may be saying to yourself: "Fred, black coffee is just coffee!" to which I would reply, you have not tasted Cafe de la Raja. Not only was it perfectly brewed, I could feel the flavors practically causing my brain to shut down, it was so delightful. For days afterwards, I could not scrub the thought of this liquid out of my mind (as I still have trouble doing) and promptly went back. All I can say, is that this coffee is Oscar Award worthy, Golden Globe Nominated, and Teen Choice Award Approved. Probably the most comfortable and relaxedly acceptable Starbucks in Seattle. Top of Queen Anne Hill. Decent interior - couple of larger chairs and at least one larger table. This is the top of Queen Anne so maybe they have an employee that hits any homeless people that try to come in and throws their laptops on the floor ...something like that anyway . So maybe that's why I never see much in the way of homeless people in this starbucks. read more

This place is usually pretty busy! I enjoyed spending time here a lot before I had internet at home for work and social networking. Their fraps are pretty tasty! And their staff are quite friendly - my fiance' and I had an incident one time when they were just... taking for ever on his order, he was standing in line and just watching other people get their orders before him - then then barista was like "OH MY GOSH DID I FORGET YOUR ORDER?!?!" and so to compensate, they upgraded into.... idk what they call their absolute largest cup but it was massive and I laughed pretty hard when I saw it.I also rather enjoy their hot chocolate! It's pretty dark so if you want something more creamy you might want to specifically request so. Either way, their hot cocoa goes great with their sweets too! I've personally had their lemon loaf, marble loaf, and brownie loaf, and I love them all.Any time there was an issue I found, the staff was always appreciative of me reporting it to them. That may not seem like an important detail, but I've had lazy staff sometimes in other restaurants where they simply do not care if something is wrong, or they get angry at me for letting them know - which of course in turn I never appreciated. So! The friendly welcoming atmosphere at this starbucks is a total win for me!My only complaint is that I wish people would learn to knock when someone is in the restroom! Their restrooms are unisex and single use so you have to lock it when you enter, and some RUDE people like to just jiggle the handle - and even if you say "occupied!" or something, sometimes they continuously jiggle it! always knock when I approach the restroom to check if someone's in there because it's always just so offputting having someone trying to open the door on you - even though it *is* locked. It'd be great if they could have vacant and occupied signs or something, because it has been an issue. My fiance' had someone jiggle the handle so hard when he was using the restroom, that they disengaged the lock and practically walked in on him. I can't imagine the audacity and rudeness of someone trying to force a stranger to use the restroom faster - the entitlement! The culprit was never to be seen as I imagine they were to embarrassed and ashamed to actually use the bathroom after doing that to someone heh. But yeah, it's....a privacy concern. read more
