Not happy with my visit. Perhaps, I'm not familiar with the coffee types here, but we were visiting Seattle and wanting some coffee to start our day. We walked by Victrola Coffee Roasters, and were quite excited for their unique theme. The interior was quite interesting as expected. There were patrons sitting all over the cafe and we assumed it would be a great experience. I ordered their honey lavender latte in their smallest iced size and an oatmeal cookie. The baristas made my drink and had forgotten my cookie, so we had to ask for it. The rating comes from the drink itself. I think I revived about 70% milk and ice. I couldn't taste the coffee at all. When I asked my partner, he said it didn't taste like coffee either. I could also barely taste the honey lavender in it. Generally, my coffee is always strong or too sugary. It's been a while since I've had a drink like this. The cookie was also odd. I was very disappointed. Overall, everything about it was not the best. Just okay. read more

As much as I appreciate little cafes, I have an affinity toward places that boast a spacious interior as much as this one. With numerous tables and seating options, it's an ideal spot for groups. On excellent weather days, I think the outdoor seats are perfect for people watching along Market St. The plentiful outlets, fast Wi-Fi, clean bathrooms, and dedicated community room (#1) certainly don't hurt either. There is a lot to appreciate on the coffee front. heir cold brew was potent and refreshing during a summer afternoon. The latte art is on point. There is even a whole rack of non-coffee oriented drinks and ready-to-go food options like being at the airport. (#2) Food wise, there are a number of baked goods on display that include cookies, pastries, muffins, scones, biscuits, and a beautiful of range of carby options. While I think the lemon citrus bread and banana bread are tasty, it feels a little pricey at over $4 a slice. Since they've been acquired by Seattle Coffee Works as of a couple of years ago, I suspect all the locations will be a bit heavier with the branding and likely more consistent across the board with tangible product sales such as merch, coffee beans, and coffee making products. Victrola was a nice cafe stop half way through my ride. A good cup of cortado, a warm, buttery, croissant, a welcoming smile, and a cozy environment! I wouldn't say it's going to be a destination for coffee snobs, but it was good coffee and nice service, hard to ask for a ton more! read more

Stumbled upon this perfect corner coffee shop to sit down and get some work done or catch up with friends. This place is absolutely gorgeous and there's plenty of seating and it has a beautiful styling and makes the perfect spot to sit down and hang out for a little bit. The coffee itself is also great. It seems reasonably priced and they have all your standard drinks as well as a few seasonal options. Service is also really great and although it was super busy they had about five people making drinks when I stopped in and they quickly got to my order. I'll definitely be back next Time I'm around the area and this makes a perfect spot to hang out if you're wandering around Ballard for the day read more

I sometimes get a craving for breakfast burritos (usually the one that's small and premade and is in the fridge to be warmed up suffices) and I had one today so I headed to Victrola. I know from previous experience that 50% of time they're out but they had it today so I ordered the ham egg burrito. It had ham, scrambled eggs, potatoes, and a bit of pepper pieces and cheese. It was pretty great but I was offended to find out it costed me $12. It's time for me to learn to make breakfast burritos. I feel like with $12 you can get ingredients worth at least three of these burritos at QFC. read more

I was in Ballard and in need of a coffee, so I stopped by Victrola Coffee Roasters! The coffee beans smelled amazing! The service was quick and friendly so no complaints there! The shop was cute and had anchor and boat decor! The coffee was good but the oat milk over poured the coffee. I would suggest getting regular milk if you aren't lactose and tolerant or allergic to milk. Or maybe a different type of milk! read more

Love this little coffee shop! The folks behind the counter are so friendly every time I go. There are lots of tables. Though it is very popular, I've always been able to find a place to sit while I have coffee and a piece of rich, nutty harvest bread. The coffee is delicious, and they always have an intriguing special drink I can discover. Really great vibes. Highly recommended! read more

Stopped in for a quick latte and was greeted by two great baristas. Alex and Grace were pleasant, efficient, and Alex's latte art was super cute. The shop is so warm and cozy. Lots of happy customers were there as well, I'm sure in part because of the coffee but also the customer service of those two girls. Keep that duo together! I wanted to update my review--I feel like this place has really improved since the last time I was there. Dan was not lying--they did update the chairs and they are so much more comfortable. It makes a difference! And my cappuccino today was delicious. Staff is always great; that was never a problem in my experience. I still don't know that this will ever be my go to--it's so busy and loud in there (but this cannot be helped). But definitely a good place to get a to go coffee or a quick dose of caffeine. read more

Located in the Ballard neighborhood on a corner is a cute coffee shop. It was cozy and relaxed. I tried a cafe au lait and my husband had a pumpkin spice latte. The coffee was good, but was a bit bitter for me. Both were very good. Service was quick , efficient and very nice. I've been trying to find pour over coffee in Seattle. I thought I'd found it based on what were apparently old photos and reviews. We came here specifically for pour over and unfortunately they don't do it anymore. A real bummer. Guess I'll keep looking. The drip coffee was fine. Staff were nice. I liked this coffee place and it was nice to stop in on a windy cold day. I was waiting on farmers market across the street to open which was amazing. It was a freezing day in early May. This was genuinely the worst chai I've ever had. In my life. But! I say it's worth it to get the bathroom code when you've really gotta go, since almost nowhere else in Ballard has a public restroom. It's clean in here, no one was rude, they made our drinks quickly. read more

I needed a coffee as we woke up early and drove to the Ballard Farmers Market from Bellingham. This was the first coffee joint I saw... I wish I looked a tad bit harder bc Starbucks is right across the street. Doh! We got their 16oz mocha and it was almost 8 bucks!? It didn't even taste very good. The chocolate taste was off to me. The plus side is that their windows open- tiny windows but at least it allows for fresh air to flow in. read more

This place reminds me of what Starbucks must have been like before it was cool. Although it is part of a chain (Seattle Coffee Works), one gets the sense that you could actually sit here and write your screenplay just like everyone at Starbucks dreams of doing. I stopped while cursing the Ballard Farmer's Market in need of a coffee. I think this place is probably most busy during the Saturday market and, although the line was long, it did move quickly. I just got a cappuccino with skim milk but the baked goods and breakfast sandwich he's looked fantastic. I get the sense that this is one of the more touristy locations, what with the coffee and apparel for sale. While that doesn't stop the coffee from being really good, it might make it a bit overpriced. Don't go to Starbucks in Seattle, go to Coffee Works! read more

Overpriced coffee that is zero on taste. I ordered an iced latte with regular milk. The coffee beans had no taste. There's not much to say than that. It's definitely on the pricier end. Lines are huge but does move quickly. Ambiance wise there are a lot of seating options but you gotta come in quick to snag a seat. Will I recommend this place - nope! The corner location is pleasant to walk to. I liked the classy design and homely feel. From wood counters and furnishings to delightful art on the wall Pretty matcha latte art! Unfortunately my anxiety was still high when I ordered, and I forgot to sub for oat milk. The dairy latte was ok, but of course I just prefer non dairy. Otherwise I imagine an oat milk latte would be amazing. Can be a bit pricey but fair for the location. This is a nice local cafe that I would like to come back to and stay for a cup of joe and perhaps some light breakfast. The cafe also roasts beans to take home in brown bags, naturally. read more

Coffee is okay, because of COVID I don't think they are having any pastries or other food items. Crowded, not a good space to come for work. No free wifi at this location. Overall it might be a nice place to get coffee and catchup with a friend, read a book, or paint, but it's not good for working. Whenever I pass through the area visiting the Ballard Farmer's Market, sometimes I stop by this sometimes-stuffy-cozy cafe. It has a similar color palette as the Seattle Coffee Works location near Pike Place Market with the browns, tans and woods. The back-lit shelving is super neat & mood-setting. I believe they have a few vegan options on-hand but I typically get an Oatly oat milk chai; that oat milk pairs fairly well with the local small-batch Traveler's Chai (usually the glass jar batches are better than plastic carton or other commercial chai). And perfect for keeping some warm vibes while walking around the Market and area. read more

This is a great coffee shop. The staff are friendly but there isn't super accessible parking, but that's more of a city issue in my opinion.

While the hot coffee is pretty decent. The iced lattes are nothing but a glass of milk with one shot and costs $7. Biggest ripoff ever. I get an iced coffee everyday and that's not what they're supposed to taste like. Tasted like a drip coffee was added instead of a fresh shot. I was working from home in the morning so I decided to come here to have a coffee and do a little work. Haven't been here in a while and it was nice to come back and actually sit for a while. It's a relaxing coffee shop, good amount of space to work, and a lot of windows to look at the cool people on the street. It wasn't as busy as Starbucks across the street and the coffee seemed to taste better as well. Got me a vanilla latte and some banana bread. My latte wasn't too sweet and I liked it very much, banana bread was pretty dry, probably wouldn't get it again. Overall I enjoyed "working" from here so I would come back again in the mornings. It's not about why your employees approached us, but how it was communicated to us. Maybe read my review more carefully. We care about the community as much as most people do, but we are imperfect humans who sometimes need polite reminders rather than aggressive shoves out the door. But thank you for the way you as management responded, as it really justifies how we felt after our experience. I will be reaching out for the refund, thanks! One star for the service. Coffee is ok, although we promptly dumped it after this experience because of the bitter taste it left in our mouths. We purchased coffee and then left to walk around the farmers market and some lunch. Came back to try to find a seat to eat and finish our coffee after 45 minutes. There weren't any seats/tables left so we stood in the corner since there was counter space. We didn't see any signs saying that was not ok, and we were six feet away from the other tables. We started unwrapping our food and the barista came over to explain why we couldn't stand there, but she spoke extremely loud and gave an unnecessarily long explanation as to why we couldn't be there. A short, simple, and volume-appropriate ask would have sufficed. We totally understand the logic - we did not appreciate having the barista loudly approach us and have everyone in the shop stare as an example was made out of us.
