I came here on red cup day, but I did not buy a red cup drink. Why? The plastic is cheap and you can't even drink a hot beverage out of them without a drink cozy. I did however buy a mozzarella, tomato, and pesto sandwich. I was killing time before my eye doctor appointment and this Starbucks has ample seating. The sandwich was really good! The temperature of room was comfortable. There were some people with their noses buried in their laptops. I guess it's a good place to work, just not cozy. It's a nice (smaller) Starbucks location compared to other stores I've been to. I ordered my standard oatmilk matcha and it very well made. Some baristas really overdo it on the milk and I barely taste the matcha but it wasn't the case this time. Their mobile service app is beneficial. By the time I got to the store my order was ready. read more

The holiday season it's approaching us fast and I had to get the Starbucks holidays reusable cup. My drink that I purchased the sugar cookie with a twist I added chestnut praline, whole milk, sweet cream form with caramel drizzle. was so good it also had red & green sprinkles really made it festive I got it ice but I think that Hot would have been better not saying that the ice wasn't delicious because it was. There was a line when I entered but i was greeted immediately. The lady behind the counter was super nice. It was only two ppl there but they are getting the coffee out quickly. This Starbucks has seating inside and outside. The bathroom is not the cleanest but i was so grateful they had one. My coffee taste great over all it was a win. read more

So I've never been treated like a criminal by another minority . Ethiopian female with dreads to be exact . Walked in to wash my hands and grab a cup of coffee. On the way in this female almost tackled me to stop me and tell me I can't use the restroom without buying anything first . No hello or anything. As I'm talking to her about this "new policy" a white gentleman walks in and she says nothing to him . Actually smiled at him and let him proceed to the bathroom . The district manager was there. Spoke with her and she's a Black woman. And she's ok with this type of behavior. She said nothing but asked me how was she supposed to speak to me. I've been coming to this location the past 6 plus months since I've moved here. Morning time and afternoon to spend my hard earned money. I'll never come back here. Takes cash, Starbucks rewards and credit card. Tons of free parking. Located in the middle of Trader Joe's, California Tortilla and a furniture shop. The interior of this shop is nice. It focuses on the length rather than width. As such, some of the tables are positioned awkwardly. However, this spot can be good for small gatherings. Just don't expect to have many people sitting all at once at on table. In terms of their drinks, they are your typical Starbucks drinks from Expresso, fraps, teas, etc. they also serve the typical snacks from chips, pastries, and small desserts as well as light sandwiches. In terms of customer service, it's been very inconsistent. When you have your order taken, the barista normally called out the customers name and or name of drink. However, the barista there at the time just places the drink on the table without calling out the order. This makes it a bit difficult to figure out if your order is ready. This causes massive lines and confusion as once the orders increase, the confusion gets higher. In terms of the quality of their drinks, they are fine. However, customer service is lacking which makes it a bit challenging. If you need a drink, this place is either hit or miss for you. Hopefully it improves. read more

Can't say I would return the next time I go to Trader Joes... the service was awful: no greeting. I was obviously waiting to order and the female staff member ignored me and helped a man that just walked in! Then the male staff member told me I had to wait to place my order until the new customer ordered! Plus, you are forced to interact with staff since you can't order ahead from this location. read more

This location has really gone down in quality in my opinion. I work at night and often go inside within the last 20-30 minutes of them being open. I do not order espresso drinks, I order coffee with a dash of cream. Every single time, without fail, I get comments about how they're about to close. Truthfully, I can be understanding of that in a scenario where an espresso drink is ordered, that's rude bc the machine will have to be cleaned. However, iced coffee? Haha. You're on the clock, the store is operational, you're working. I get it, work can be tiring. However, you DO NOT let customers know when you are unhappy with them, its bad business and off putting. read more

Great Starbucks with a consistent staff and very quick. I have never had a bad experience at this Starbucks. I don't usually come when they are busy but I'm sure they would do a great job either way. This location is always clean and well staffed. I only deducted a star because it's not the friendliest Starbucks. I've spent countless hours in the McClean and other Starbucks who tend to have a cheers atmosphere. Overall a good experience. I come frequently and I'll continue to come to this location. read more

Omg it's the worst by far, usually I order online with the app, this time I ordered in the store, the barista is soooo rude and at the register I told the young lady Iced drink he made me a hot drink, then when I told him I ordered iced he rudely respond with you should ask before, witch I clearly said that. Then he made an iced drink and it's not even what I ordered. What a waste I trashed the drink in the bin and left. Don't go to this location. read more

I'd like to give this location 5-stars for the awesome drinks and excellent staff...but the Wi-fi is slower that a turtle crossing the road. I came today with a friend (very exciting for me, since nobody likes to have study-dates these days) and expected it to be a fantastic experience. WELL. There's an ample amount of table/chair seating, but they're tiny tables that aren't suitable for two laptops. Didn't think about that one. The four plush chairs are very comfortable, but good luck getting two next to each other. If you're lucky enough you'll have a tiny table between every two to park your drinks on. There's also a sufficient amount of outlets so your laptop and/or phone never runs out of battery. BIG plus. Let's get back to the Wi-fi. IT'S SLOW. I had to watch a 7min. video for one of my classes...and waited over 30 minutes for it to load. Do you know what I could've accomplished in 30mins?! Had I known the videos could've been watched beforehand, at home. Not that I should have to plan that, since most coffee shops offer faster Wi-fi. The Starbucks in Rockville is pretty fast. Final verdict? Awesome drinks, friendly staff, but not the friendliest environment for doing work that needs a faster connection. Sorry guys :/ read more

The manager Mel is truly phenomenal and sets the bar high for customer service for all other Starbucks locations. I pass 4 closer Starbucks locations to me just to visit this one because of the customer service. I usually do mobile pick up and I rarely ever have to wait. I admire the way this business is ran. If you need coffee at night, it's super easy and breezy to come here for your coffee or tea delight. The lines are short and service quick, making it perfect for whatever you pick. The staff peops are polite, day or night, the seating is plenty, for about twenty, and the facilities are clean- you know what I mean. I have never had them mismake any drink I have ordered- that is a plus considering how picky I can be! read more

I have made this another one of my regular morning coffee stops. I cannot complain, my order is right every time and the wait is pretty standard considering the morning rush. The staff seems to stay on top of things, the restroom is clean, and there is even a nice bar to sit at for those who want front row seating to view all the "action" going on as the baristas keep busy moving all over the place making fantastic drinks. This is the Starbucks in the Trader Joes shopping Center. You know, the one that makes you pound your fists on your steering wheel because the parking lot is always so crowded and hard to maneuver? It is of note that the Google Map attached to this business page places the Starbucks in the middle of Northwest Branch, a nearby stream. I can assure you that this Starbucks location is actually on dry land! What are not of note are the drinks, and sometimes the service, at this particular location. There are some really nice staff there but there are also a few who regularly kill my Starbucks pleasure buzz because of sour attitudes. Never had an awful drink from there but also have not had the best of my life. Sadly I go here often because I live at Trader Joes. I have a little cot in the back where they let me sleep when I am not purchasing every item on their shelves. The Starbucks a mile or two up the road at Four Corners (University and New Hampshire) can have a better vibe. But, on a nice day, the TJ Starbucks (as I refer to it) wins, because of the large outdoor patio and tables with umbrellas. Also you can randomly see crazy people in this parking lot, which is odd because of its very sterile suburban location. read more

I visit this location almost daily, and every single one of the staff is beyond amazing! They are always prompt and quick, friendly and always have a smile present, they make great drinks and offer excellent customer service! Much nicer environment then the Hillandale location, the service there is usually very rude and slow there...baristas chatting amongst each other while you're waiting for your latte, not warming sandwiches, ect.. They're open in the evening which is great. The baristas are usually very nice and I've never had a single issue. Once I ordered a chai latte, added too much cinnamon, &they made me another, no charge even though it was my mistake. Good customer service secures my business. I like this SB, and it's right next to Bark! And Trader Joe's if that's your thing. That parking lot blows during peak hours which is why the 4 out of 5. So, this one is the worst Starbucks in the area. Now that they have moved most of the sitting in the back of the store where the music is so loud that you can not have a decent conversation with person sitting even across. On top of that the staff is loud and inconsiderate of the patrons. With coffee machines grinding, steel jars banging in the sink, ice grinder on the other side, staff being loud and music volume at unbearable levels, its impossible to stay and enjoy coffee. We pay high price not for only coffee but for the experience . And experience is not pleasant here. read more

I came to the center for the first time for a doctor's appt. I was early, so I decided to visit the local Starbucks for a matcha drink. I came into the shop, no one greeted me. I proceeded behind a woman in line and I waited. I pulled up the app and I see a line forming away from me. I ask the cashier, who saw me standing there where the line was and he doesn't even speak and points to five people who are about to go before me. I'm not asking for much just some customer service. I'm new and lost greet me, unsure if I'm waiting, ask? Paying a meals worth for a single drink is not worth the poor atmosphere there. I am glad I don't live around there. read more

Given the long line, I couldn't bring myself to ask for my drink to be "fixed" and hold the line up. Note the parking lot can get a bit hectic. read more

The workers here are fantastic and very personable. The area is clean with enough seating for their usual amount of customers. I've enjoyed studying here with their fast wifi and pleasant environment. It has a convenient location in a shopping center as well. The only reason this has received 4 stars versus 5 is because Starbucks coffee is just not my favorite. read more

Well first of all, this is the worst parking lot ever. Just park in the back its a tad bit easier. This is also a VERY busy location so be prepared to wait. I walk up and order an espresso macchiato (which is a real drink, it is on the menu) and the cashier just stares at me. Um.. hello... are you awake? I repeated myself and she said "umm... I don't know what that is..." So then I told her it is simply just 1 espresso shot with a small amount of steamed milk and I wanted 1 pump of sugar free vanilla. She made a face of frustration and she "ugh I can't hear you" very rudely. Excuse me? When I finally told her what I wanted 4 times, I had to wait 10 minutes for my one little drink and they forgot the vanilla. I went back and asked for a pump and the barista ruined it so bad it was undrinkable. I almost threw up. So disgusting. Never coming back to this Starbucks. read more

Soooooo ok, 1st the product. There are Starbucks everywhere so its pretty much all the same at his point so I don't need to go into details about that. The service is hit and miss. Some days I go in and they are nice and aren't forgetful, and get my order correct. Other days I want to go in there and yell at the top of my lunges. Especially when they get something simple so wrong. Another thing is the parking. There are so many other busy establishments there such as trader joes, the parking is absolutely terrible unless you go during an off time obviously. Be prepared to park in the back if you do go on a Sunday. read more
