This drive through is very frustrating. They more often then not do not make drinks right. This time handed me the first drink, I requested NO Berries. Hand it back. And get this one in its place. The order was Venti Strawberry Refresher, no berries, light water, light ice. By the looks of it I got extra ice and extra water. So basically $5 for mildly flavored water and a cup of ice. I don't know what it is about this one Starbucks but I have a bad experience every time I go there. I normally go out of my way to avoid this location but sometimes it's so convenient that I temporarily forget how unpleasant this place is. Most recently I placed a mobile order and no joke, I stood there at their designated pick up area for literally 3-4 minutes while several associates continued making drinks and completely ignored me and the customer accumulating for pick up. I finally had to say "excuse me can someone help me with my mobile order". I get it's busy but it was beyond an acceptable wait as my food and drink just sat there growing cold. It's a shame to feel like a burden trying to pick up your order. read more

Get it together, people! Nothing bothers me more than getting ignored in the store while employees focus on the drive thru. I got out of my car so I could get service. Today I ordered through my Starbucks app for the first time. I chose to pick it up is case there were problems with my order. The app worked like a charm, the customer service aspect left much to be desired. While my iced drink was getting hot, and my hot sandwich getting cold...I stood at the counter trying to figure out where the rest of my order went while the employee working pick ups fussed with her headset and coffee machine. I asked her if she could look for my order. After several minutes, she finally says that she is out of what I ordered. She knew this when she gave me half my order and made me wait while she fooled around. I tried to order something else, it never came. I asked for a refund. The employee ignored me. I told her I was unhappy with her service. She said she was sorry I felt that way. I finally walked out, no refund, no replacement. This is not okay. Unfortunately, I will be back...I have $100 in gift cards, but I won't go here. read more

Not a great drive thru experience today at this Starbucks. Ordered at 3:48pm didn't receive my coffee until after 4:00pm. Drinks behind us were stacking up for the CARs BEHIND is, but whoever was working the hot bar was a hot mess. And to top it off the car behind me hit me because they weren't paying attention because the wait was ridiculously long! And to top it off the girl at the window made no apologies no oh hey sorry it took long, no answer as to why i just had the worst ever experience at Starbucks. Literally disgusted.... I usually go through drive through in this location and today was no different. Order a grande Caramel Macchiato and headed to run errands for the day.. almost done with my coffee taking last drink with cover with a small peace of something hits my tongue. Held in mouth and spit out as I realized it was a dead fly... literally spit the rest of the coffee out of my mouth onto my lap. I was in absolute shock and so disgusted. Headed back home to change and called the store to let them know. Throw out that coffee or whatever they do. I often stop by this Starbucks. It's in a location that's convenient for me and my orders have consistently been completed properly. Staff are friendly, professional, and courteous. Not all baristas/baristi are talented and quick, though there are one or two super-stars at this location. Suggest ordering via the app and driving over to pick up unless you want to hang out and can find an empty seat. Today I'm ill and asked someone to pick up an order for me. It's not unusual for prep to be slow, but I'm disappointed for a few reasons: (1) the cup of my matcha latte was not even close to full, (2) the person picking up for me couldn't get what they wanted (out of stock)(a common experience), and (3) their cup was just-more-than-half full. No spills, splashes, or stolen sips - just not a full serving. Hope things get better or a convenient alternative pops up. read more

Went to this Starbucks on Cochran near "Target" in Simi Valley. Slow, very slow service! It was Wednesday at 1:30 in the afternoon! Drive through was very long so I decided to go inside! Short line preferred fast. However, my drink did not come out until 3 customers that came in later than me got their beverages and left! One cashier, one barista, 2 barista in cold drinks and one cashier in drive through! This store to me was short in baristas! They needed at least two more! Still haven't had a bad drink from this place! I also want to say that I experienced something really great here a few months back that renewed my faith in HUMANS. Apparently at the beginning of the day someone in the drive thru had been kind enough to pay for the person BEHIND them. (I have had this done for me a few times at other drive thrus for being polite and have paid for the person behind me because they were polite, etc.) The customers CONTINUED to "pay it forward" throughout the day. This morning my son, Owen, and I ate breakfast at the counter at the Simi Valley store (Cochran and Galena). My three year old was playfully making faces at the barista, Sarah. She took the time to play with him while handling all her tasks. What she didn't know is that he had a difficult morning prior to that and she really helped cheer him up. Shela is by far the most frustrating barista to date. If a customer wants a refill it shouldn't be a problem just because I haven't finished a drink because it's too much caffeine(I.e. heart condition and would prefer a tea) doesn't mean you turn a customer away, make the moment right, especially when the order is from a gold member and ex partner. Get off your high horse. I'm not stealing so don't accuse me of it. Especially not to my face. Good for the other people stealing but that's not me. I have to order an ice cup just so you can reuse my cup even after I requested a new cup tea because I'd prefer to take the small amount of my coffee drink home for later when I purchased it myself. So excuse me for asking for a cup of ice to put my other drink in just so you could reuse the same stupid coffee cup because you failed to make the moment right the first time around. I went here to pick up coffee and breakfast. There was minimal waiting in line despite the location being packed with people. I got a canned drink so I can't speak to the speed they create their drinks but the food I ordered came in a decently fast amount of time. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location has lots of seating, but it usually pretty crowded and the outlets are minimal. Overall, the aesthetic of the location is gorgeous and the staff is friendly and work quickly for the amount of customers they are serving. read more

I've had two unacceptable experiences here at this location. The first was when I ordered a chi tea during my pregnancy and the barista bluntly told me I shouldn't drink caffeine during my pregnancy. I felt like a horrible mother and cried. I'll never forget it. The second was today when they had no idea what my order was when I reached the window. The barista told me they confused the orders. Which is fine. But when I left and realized my drink was wrong I called because I did not want to wait ten cars deep again and couldn't go in with my baby and child in bathing suits. The girl that answered the phone "hello" no into for Starbucks. I asked her if she could bring the correct drink out to me in a parking spot. I've only had experience with the drive thru. The drinks and food I've had are great if you aren't waiting for very long, however the drive thru can be very SLOW. It's a mixture of slow service at the window, drive thru cars waiting for other people to back their cars out of parking spots and drivers totally distracted by their cell phones delaying the line. The parking lot is terrible because the drive thru line goes right in between the parked cars. So it's a stop and wait for the drive thru line while people back out their cars in 3 point turns while you're sitting there waiting to pull forward. Not to mention the customers coming and going from the inside of the location are walking in front of the drive thru cars in line delaying the line further. It's a poorly thought out design. read more

I've been a regular at this location lately (10+ times per month). Service is generally good. Average wait times to receive drinks after ordering (dine-in or drive-through) are in the 5-10 minute range. Every now and then my drinks are made incorrectly but they quickly remake it. There's plenty of indoor seating areas with a few tables outside. Avoid parking near the drive-through because you might have a hard time backing out of the parking stall. read more

Starbucks is Starbucks for the most part. This location is very busy and the drinks are good, but the staff is meh. They don't take the time, it's just too busy for them to put any effort into the care of the drinks or the communication with the customer. The building itself has awful acoustics, it is so loud and the noise just echoes. The internet is sub-par; it is like being on dial up. While there are lots of tables and places to study, it is hard to do when the the necessities, like internet, just aren't there. The signal strength for 4G is also quite poor...this building is a dead zone for getting to the outside world. read more
