This is a nice Starbucks location. It has a large seating area with eight comfortable chairs by the front windows. The staff is friendly, but often very busy. The drive-through usually has a line, and many people pre-order their drinks. And it doesn't help when someone's order includes a complex drink like this: Venti Iced White Mocha with: * 5 pumps white mocha * sweet cream instead of milk * vanilla sweet cream cold foam * extra caramel drizzle * extra crunch topping * light ice * blonde ristretto shots * line the cup with caramel * add 2 pumps cinnamon dolce * double blended And only 1,000 calories or so! I happened to stop in and order my nonfat grande latte at the counter one day and didn't get my order for 15 minutes. Typically, I only have to wait a few minutes. Why don't I pre-order? Good Evening, I am a Douglas, Massachusetts resident and longtime Starbucks customer. I commute daily and have been a regular customer of the Starbucks located in Sutton Valley at the Market 32 Plaza in Sutton, MA, for approximately nine years. Throughout that time, I have consistently had positive experiences, particularly with the morning staff, who have always been courteous, accommodating, and professional. I am writing to formally escalate an extremely upsetting and unacceptable experience that occurred at this location today, August 12, 2026, at approximately 1:30 PM. I arrived at the drive-thru with my three children. When I reached the window, I explained to the employee that I wanted to reload $20 in cash onto my Starbucks account and then use my Starbucks app to pay for the order so that I could receive the associated rewards points. At the time, my Starbucks account had approximately $8 available, while my order totaled approximately $14. I therefore needed to add funds to my account before completing the purchase. The employee appeared confused by my request and went to get another employee. When the second employee came to the window, I calmly explained the situation again. I specifically stated that I wanted to add the $20 cash to my Starbucks account and then pay for the order using the app. Instead of assisting me or simply clarifying the transaction, the employee repeatedly questioned how I wanted to pay. I explained the process again. She then told me, while still holding the $20 cash I had handed her, that I would somehow owe an additional $34 for the transaction. I explained that this could not be correct because my entire order was only approximately $14. After continued confusion, I ultimately told her to simply take the $20 cash and give me the appropriate change. Her immediate response was: **"You can leave my drive-thru."** I was completely stunned. I was not refusing to pay. I was not causing a disturbance. I was not demanding anything for free. I was actively attempting to pay for my children's beverages and resolve a payment issue that the employee was having difficulty understanding. I then pulled around to the front of the store and entered the building because I wanted to resolve the situation and pay for the drinks I had ordered. When I entered, I observed the employee speaking about me with three other employees. I again stated that I simply wanted to pay for my children's drinks. The employee then told me to **"leave or I'll call the cops."** At that point, I was humiliated, shocked, and extremely upset. I left the store with my three children without receiving the beverages I had attempted to purchase. I immediately contacted Starbucks Customer Service and reported the incident. I subsequently spoke with the District Manager, Conner, at approximately 5:30 PM. I walked him through the entire situation. To his credit, Conner listened to me and acknowledged that I had not done anything wrong. He explained that the employee would need to be retrained and specifically acknowledged that the situation was made significantly worse when she threatened to call the police. He also expressed his condolences regarding my experience. I appreciate that he listened to me. However, I do not believe that **"retraining" adequately addresses what occurred.** This was not simply an employee making a mistake on a transaction. The employee: * Failed to properly understand or assist with a basic payment request. * Became increasingly dismissive and confrontational. * Told a paying customer to leave the drive-thru. * Refused to allow me to complete payment for my children's drinks. * Discussed the situation with other employees in a manner that was humiliating and inappropriate. * Threatened to call the police when I was attempting to pay for an order. * Ultimately caused me to leave the establishment without the products I had attempted to purchase. I want to be very clear: **I was a customer attempting to give Starbucks money.** I was not disruptive. I was not refusing payment. I was not threatening anyone. I was simply trying to reload my Starbucks account and pay for my order. At one point, I even offered the simplest possible resolution: take the $20 cash I had already handed the employee and give me my change. Instead, I was told to leave. As a longtime customer, I find this deeply troubling. What has been particularly upsetting is the emotional impact this incident had on me. After leaving the store, I spent approximately 35 minutes crying while speaking with Starbucks Customer Service. I then became emotional again while speaking with the District Manager later in the afternoon. After the calls ended, I continued to cry for more than an hour because of how humiliated and degraded I felt. I had my three children with me when this happened. Starbucks is only as good as the staff that is running any particular store. The drinks and food offerings are all standard among any location but the staff and their ability to hustle and willingness to serve quickly and efficiently are varied. Customer service is typically weak. Speed is not always a concern. Staff seem to not enjoy their service jobs. read more

I hate to write a place a bad review but I've now had multiple experiences where I've had to leave without my coffee. Today is the last time I go here. I ordered ahead like normal and I know Fridays are busy so I give them plenty of time. 18 minutes after ordering I go in and my coffee is not done. I said something and whom I believe is the manager said it would be out shortly. 10 more minutes and nothing. Didnt even ask my name. I had to leave before I was late for work. This location is horrible. Although some of the staff are trying, some staff and management are extremely rude. They constantly shut down at random times by leaving signs on the door, close the drive thru with no warning, and shut down online ordering. Drinks are inconsistent and often wrong. I received one drink that had only two inches in it. They were rude and angry because I asked for no ice so gave me this to "prove a point". Could have suggested I buy a larger size or pay more, which would have been fine vs the passive aggressive treatment I received. Stay away! I waited literally 30 minutes in the drive thru after trying to order a breakfast sandwich and frappe, only for them to tell me they didn't have the sandwich or coffee? So I ordered a new sandwich and just wanted to get out quick so I got a chocolate milk instead. By the time i got to the window they then tell me there's no chocolate milk and only regular milk. When I get my order after waiting 30 min I got probably the worst looking/made sandwich I've ever had from a fast/drive thru place. The service was terrible and so was the sandwich, they also had atleast 4 workers inside so it's not like they were short on staff. I don't understand how this place was rated 4 stars. read more

Super Friendly staff but poor drink quality control for a while now, I was a daily customer and have stopped going there completely due to being repeatedly disappointed with my expensive drinks. They can't handle being busy at all and drink quality sufferers most when they have a line at noon or Saturday. My wife and I both (on different occasions) smelled strong perfume on our hot coffee lids. gross! I bought the same drink every day and it was made differently or completely wrong almost every time... I don't mean a little wrong, I mean adding whipped cream when it says "no whip" on the sticker, or using regular milk when I order almond milk, tasting other drinks from not cleaning equipment fully? my last straw was when the employee asked me if he could just "scrape off' the whip cream?? when paying $7.00 for a drink I feel it should be made reasonably correct. This automatically gets four stars just because of its location. This one is inside of a grocery store but is the only Starbucks anywhere around there! I often travel between Providence and a Hartford CT so this is the perfect location to stop and grab a coffee. Today I had a triple grande cinnamon dolce latte! It was delicious! read more

Wanted to leave a review complimenting the staff at this Starbucks location. Big shout out to Kate, Cadence, Maggie, and Craig, for making 2 fantastic cups of coffee, after making a mistake. My husband and I had a long drive back to Albany NY, and upon receiving our first order, made incorrectly, I walked back over to the shop and was not only greeted respectfully, but graciously, with multiple apologies AND, 2 complimentary cups of coffee as well. The phrase "you catch more flies with honey than vinegar'" applies here. All of the Starbucks employees were fantastic. Turned out to be the best cup of coffee I've had in a long time. This is a review for the Starbucks NEXT TO market 32 (not the one inside the grocery store): I came by one day to get that elusive unicorn drink (on day 2 of the release). They told me they were out of the pink stuff so it will he a little less sweet. Wrong! The color changing component was gone and the flavour was also non existent, thus removing any basis of its appeal. So I went in the following day, and described how disappointed I was to have paid over $10 for two drinks that did not hold up to what I ordered. Kristen was very empathetic and apologised to me (basically all I was looking for). She offered to make me a drink to make up for the mishap the day before and gave me a small gift card to make up for the second drink (to use on my next visit). I am very impressed and happy to interact with such pleasant people at this location. read more

This location should be closed down... I'm not kidding. I rarely have anything negative to say online but the service is HORRIBLE. Multiple times I have ordered from the app and waited so long for my ONE DRINK to be ready. I have to return to work most of the time, so I thought I could try ordering as soon as I leave my house. I live 30 minutes away. And I got there today and my drink was still not ready. Not to mention the lids barely stay on the iced coffees and today was my last straw, because I picked my coffee up and the whole thing spilled all over me due to the lid being a loose fit. I go here practically every day and I am not kidding when I say today is the last time I spend my money here. They are SO understaffed it's outrageous. We have been coming here every day since this store opened. We have seen the turn over rate with baristas, seen our favorites come and go. Withing in the last two months though, the service and products have sorely declined. During the week, when everyone is in a rush, we order our drinks 15 minutes before we leave the house to give the store plenty enough time to make them. We live roughly 10 minutes away so in total there is a 25 minute time slot for 2 drinks. We know how busy mornings are for coffee places, so we plan accordingly! Well, 3 out of 5 days of the week the main ingredient, vanilla sweet cream, is missing from my husbands Vanilla Sweet cream cold brew. Normally I get a coffee but I've been on a tea kick the past three weeks. It's the same order almost every day and yet it's progressively taking longer and longer to get our order. Some days my cup is covered in honey and the tea water is spilled all over the sides of the cup. A few weeks ago, when I asked the store manager to put the vanilla sweet cream in his coffee, she gave me an attitude like I was asking for a brand new drink or something. Then proceeded to put it on the counter with such force that it spilled out of the top on to the counter. We spend roughly $100+ here a week. If things do not change we may just start going to the Market 32 location. At least they're friendly. read more

In an nyc transplant originally from Sutton and i am So impressed with this starbucks. It has ever students dream: big tables outlets at every table and plenty of light! Also not crowded at all. I wish the starbucks in nyc were like this. The service was pretty slow, but it seems like they are learning still, so give them a break. I usually go to this Starbucks as it is the closest one around, I live in Blackstone, and can I just say WOW. And not in a good way... I was there today at around 2pm and the drive thru was HORRENDOUS! I took a leap of faith and decided to jump in the already packed line almost out to the street near the supermarket...BAD IDEA! I waited about 10 minutes to come close to the building! I am not even exaggerating when I say I was in that line for at least 25 minutes before I decided NO MORE! I couldn't take it, the line was not even moving at some points. I backed right up out of there. I don't know if it is understaffed or what the deal was. If so they need to be hiring more workers because I have discussed this issue with several colleagues I know who agree this Starbucks is going to the sh*tter if they do not work their drive thru!
