Inicio Coffee review: Parking is small and limited, but due…read moreto most people coming and going, a spot opens up somewhat quickly. Wait times when things got a bit busy, grew longer. I came when it was not busy and got my drink in under two minutes. However, the person sitting next to me (with the cutest doggie! They're dog friendly, I think ) waited longer than 10 minutes for her drink. However, this was during a rush and when it was probably the busiest in the morning (?) AMBIANCE AND ENVIRONMENT: The music volume was pretty good. It was low level when the place got busy due to people chatting, machines, ice scooping etc., but when it wasn't so busy, the level was about medium due to the atmosphere being more quiet. The vibes were Mumford and sons, Oasis, Of Monsters and Men, the Head and the Heart, and some classical sprinkled here and there. It is smaller than a chain, but cozy with quite a few seats and table options. I think they did a great job at making the best of the space. The space also encourages community as half of the seating options are shared/shareable. All within an arms reach, which in my personal opinion, is plenty of space. Because of this, it encourages you to acknowledge your fellow human being sitting across, or beside you. The environment was clean, bright, and comfortable. The environment feedback I woukd give is perhaps a stronger sun shade in the windows that the bar and stools face. I first sat here but within minutes decide to move because the heat was a bit too much for me. Again! A personal preference. Coffee shops can also naturally get warm due to the energy being used for the machines and refrigerators, so something to consider. The air-conditioning kicked in a little later which helped make it more comfortable. Another thing I noticed is the outlet near the corner table and lounge chairs has a an outlet extender plugged into the wall outlet, but the wall outlet is extremely loose with no faceplate. This can cause electric shock, wiring damage and possible fires. I know from personal experience. It's a real easy and cheap fix that I highlyyy recommend they do ASAP. Just trying to be helpful because I really, really like this spot. FOOD AND DRINKS: I ordered a Hibiscus Berry Blend, as is, iced. It was $5.00 even. It is served in a14 Oz. cup. With ice, it's probably about 12-13 Oz. of drink you're getting. I think it was worth it. The flavor was equal and very nice. Not too fruity, not too watery. It wasn't sweet, due to me not asking for any additional sweetener. As I sat and worked, I heard a lot of other orders and some were very creative. So they do have all those fun drinks people love to indulge in occasionally. They also have classic drip coffee and loose leaf tea. THE REASON WHY I TRIED INICIO: The biggest thing I noticed, being an activist myself involved in many efforts for social justice through my work and personal life, was their mission to erase modern day slavery. Human trafficking is a horrible thing that unfortunately is haooening right before out very eyes. They donate a portion of all food, drink, and catering sales to Justice 180. That is honestly, the reason why I came. I would love to partner with them and invite them to come cater at my center. I plan to spread the word about this place and continue to support them.

It feels cozy and relaxing ...like a nice little place to escape without dealing with huge crowds. They do have outdoor seating as well, but that's also limited. Inside, they have comfortable sofas, a booth with high chairs, a decent-sized coffee table, and board games, so it's a great spot for a casual date or to hang out with friends. The only two downsides are that there's no public restroom (i make sure my bladder is empty before coming to the store) and no working AC. I'm not sure what the ongoing issue has been with the air conditioner, but in all the years I've been coming here, the only things keeping the place cool are a few fans. So on hot summer days, it can get difficult to hang out inside. Unless you're like me and don't mind the heat ( I've lived in Florida and Puerto Rico, so I'm used to humidity ) just keep that in mind. They have a pretty good drink menu, though they don't serve food. My personal favorite drink is the jasmine milk tea, pot plant style, which comes with a layer of whipped cream and crushed chocolate cookie crumbs on top. The serving is also huge, which I appreciate because I love a drink that isn't served like prison rations. The staff has always been warm and professional. When I stopped by today, the cashier was especially kind and attentive, which meant a lot because I had my infant son with me. He made sure I was seated comfortably, helped make sure the stroller was parked close to me, and went above and beyond to make sure I enjoyed my drink. He even asked me to let him know if I needed any adjustments. I didn't catch his name, but he was an older gentleman and clearly cares about giving customers an excellent experience. Parking has never been an issue for me here, though I usually come on weekdays. Thankfully, you don't have to worry about limited parking or paying for parking like you do in many parts of Los Angeles. Overall, TeaN'Me is still a solid 5/5 for me. They continue to take the lead in sylmar as the best boba spot in the area.

After nearly five years of living in Sylmar, I felt it was finally time to share my experience with the local Starbucks. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. Honestly, I've given this place more than enough chances, but I can no longer stay silent. First off, the coffee quality has been consistently poor. In the five years I've visited this location, I can count on one hand the number of times I've had decent coffee, maybe five times in total! My orders are always straightforward, straight from the menu, yet somehow they manage to get it wrong more often than not. It's baffling. As for the baristas, it feels like they either lack proper training or simply don't care about their craft. I'm not one to expect barista-level artistry, but I do expect a basic standard of quality. The drinks often taste off, and it seems like there's no attention to detail in their preparation. While I typically use the drive-thru, I've noticed that the staff there seem average at best. There's a distinct lack of enthusiasm or professionalism that leaves much to be desired. I really hope management takes the time to invest in training their employees properly. It's ridiculous that a well-known coffee chain can't consistently deliver a decent cup of coffee. Overall, my experience at this Starbucks has been frustrating. I genuinely hope they can improve because I would love to support a local coffee shop that gets it right. Until then, I'll be looking elsewhere for my coffee fix. read more

For a corporation that makes immense amounts of money you don't treat your workers at all with any respect. 17.50 an hour is depressing insulting and is should be a crime in the world we live in today. Yes it isn't a skills job, but it's a service job one where people have to pour their hearts and souls into, all so your establishment run smoothly. While the CEO's endlessly fill their pockets with CASH, the workers at STARBUCKS work 4hour shifts that WONT cover a full tank of gas and a nutritious LUNCH after having to be at work at 4 AM to listen to degenerate customers that have no respect or regard for human dignity,, they are so blinded by their caffeine and sugar addiction that they can't see their insulting other humans at work. Your establishment runs on caffeine and sugar addiction you're killing our young generation with an addiction to sugar. YOU ARE THE REASON PEOPLE DIE OF DIABETES and for those that quit at life because it's so hard to live off minimum wage. Suck it you degenerate upperclass that thinks they can manipulate the common person. BE HUMANE!!!! A 4 hour shift at $17.50 per hour is $70 a day this is sad so so sad people need to wake up and boycott big corporations and especially companies that run off addiction weather it's food or drugs. Your coffee is terribly extra burnt and with the way you run your company it leaves an extra bad taste in the mouth. read more

I don't usually give bad reviews but I'm gonna give this a go. I placed an order for a vente ice blonde latte with an add shot. So you would think that was pretty said right on the intercom.. come to the window to pick up my coffee to get almost a hot coffee and I'm like nope that's not my mind second time around I got an ice coffee alright to come out pretty pale and white so I'm getting mad at this point!!! So 3rd around and mind you this was through drive thru it came out ice latte alright and it was still light colored usually when I order an ice blonde latte with an add shot it's has a nice dark brown color to it so they made 3 shots and I'm like no that it either so the girl grabs the cup off my hand and adds the 4th shot which should have been there already but they had to add it so of course while this all happening the ice was melting due the 4th shot! They were adding on top of the hot mess of the ice blonde latte as it is!! I just gave up and peeled off the drive thru.. no sense of direction and dictation to the people the work the drive Thur shows to you that they listen!! And you pay for good coffee to get terrible service read more

I love this location I hate when people assume there drinks will be made right away when you are going during there buisness hours give them some grace. During read cup day that had everything organized granted it was super busy people have to get its a high volume store and things take awhile. Even when I see them hounding the baraistas for an order that was placed just minutes ago when it takes them about 10mins to recieve your order. I have worked for starbucks before and some people with never understand. If you dont want to wait for ypur drink there's always other stores with a lower volume in business. Granted the place is clean majority of the time I go in I've had no problem besides certain things not being stocked up. But again I've had bo problem asking the baristas for certain items that are needed so give the workers some grace. Thank you Starbucks for testing your patiences. If I could give zero stars I would. I politely asked them to remake my coffe because it was to strong for me the person male and female working at the drive threw sighed and were annoyed. I clearly asked them to remake it and they only put more milk. They gave me the cup back all dripping in milk. I love Starbucks and I never complain but if a customer asks you to do something in a nice way I would expect them to do it. Very disappointed read more
