If I could put 0 stars I would. My mobile order was apparently stolen. They make a new one and it's nothing like what I ordered. I park and go inside to have it remade. Everyone I go here, they get my order correct. 99% of the employees here are friendly and personable. The place is always super clean, and the staff really cranks out the awesomeness when they get slammed. This location has randomly been closed during normal business hours, and that is never a fun surprise, but I am sure it has always been for good reason. I avoid drive-thru at this location, because once you are in that line, there is no way out but through, and if the line is moving slow, you are committed (whether you want to be or not) long before you even order. I come to this Starbucks once or twice per month. My drinks are always delicious and the pastries and protein boxes are fresh. The baristas are friendly- though not the friendliest I've experienced at a Starbucks. I've noticed a weird vibe when I sit inside. With the shift to mobile orders and drive thru they are on a busy road and during the morning prepare a little ahead for your order. The team moves fast as they can and they get out drinks and food out quickly and it's our part to stay patient and safely distant while we wait. The drinks are never the same twice. I went there today and spent 20 minutes waiting in the drive they line. The girl who took our order had such an attitude. She didn't want to hear our full drink order for example I wanted a vanilla blonde latte with soymilk but she wouldn't fix what milk was listed or how many pumps of flavor etc. so she tried rushing us again by continuously asking "is that it?" Over and over. We also wanted tea. She said "we basically don't have tea today except green" whatever the green tea is called. So we pulled out of line and went in. It wasn't any better except seeing they had 4 teas available. My drink was completely wrong. She "forgot" that the vanilla blonde latte had vanilla in it. For $9 and 45 min wasted I would never return to the Vernon Starbucks. This place is a real shit show. Also the order ahead options sucks. They are always 30 minutes behind and shouldn't offer it at all if they can't handle the amount of business. read more

Every restaurant struggles during Covid with staffing, but this specific Starbucks is an extreme example. They are intermittently closed due to staffing shortages more than any restaurant I've encountered. So, expect that they will be closed 1 in every 5 visits. The drive through almost always gets our order right. We've literally been through the drive through around 100x at this location and they've only made a mistake twice (maybe a 98% accuracy rate?). I can't say that about any other drive through around. The staff is good and typically in good spirits despite a line of cars down the street. The parking lot is very, very quirky and difficult. While my coffee tasted typical, I waited 20+ minutes over the projected ready time to receive it. For the insane rush they had yesterday on Thanksgiving day they really crushed it over here at this Vernon location! A few people began complaining inside, but what do you expect when the entire business is being swamped?! Customers need to be more open minded, especially during these times of low employment where it's a blessing we even have workers who show up the morning of thanksgiving to just prepare your beverages. Between the terrible Wendy's and this Starbucks I am going to start calling their business neighborhood "Death Valley". This Starbucks has crazy hours. They change constantly. The parking lot/drive thru is a maze and today they appeared to be open but there were cones across the drive thru-which leads to a 5 point turn around. They have some sandwich board signs propped up behind the building about whether they are open or closed but I've never seen them set up any place that can save you the time and annoyance of driving into their parking lot before finding out they are closed. Both employees are incredibly kind - and I can visibly see how much they enjoy their job. They even drew hearts on my friend and I's bag once, proving they go above and beyond. I cannot say enough great things about this location! While some reviews complain about wait times, they forget to realize that their drinks are being made by fantastic humans. Poor set up. Every time I place a mobile order they ask me to go inside to get it or go back through the line. If I wanted to go inside I'd order inside. The drive through line is always over 20 minutes long. On the rare chance it's empty your lucky. They are alway out of stock. For the first time in my life, I live near very few coffee shops. With the exception of the excessive Duncan Donut shops, I rarely see caffeine-oriented businesses nearby. So I was pretty excited to discover a new Starbucks within a 3-mile radius of my home and it has a drive-through :O. It's quite a large space, larger than I was expecting at least. The drive thru is never as busy or as slow as the Starbucks in Manchester and it has a really cool screen that shows you your drink order first! I love that!! I have truly went back and forth for days about posting about my experince at the Vernon Starbucks on talcottville rd Thursday April 13th and after the last two days of sitting here realizing more and more how wrong the situation was i feel like i need to share my story!! so Thursday morning I pulled up to Starbucks drive-through like I do every day to get my coffee as I approach the window in my car with a smile on my face as I do every day because I know what it's like to work in food, service and deal with people all day long as I get handed a coffee that wasn't mine I say oh no honey that's not mine she puts it back and she's like all right. What's the name for the order i said Jasmine? The girl looks me in my face and shuts the drive-through window walks away. I'm like OK maybe she charged me for the wrong order cool!! no not at all. That was not it at all next thing you know the managers at the window looking me dead in my face telling me I am not allowed to be on their property that there is a restraining order against me and one of her partners in the building and that I need to leave the property immediately and never come back again and I'm just here in straight shock. I'm just staring at her for a moment and then the words I don't even know this person come pouring out of my mouth literally I don't even know who she is talking about so I say again are you sure you have the right person ma'am do you even know who I am she said I surely know who you are do you know who you are, as I am even more shocked I repeat my full government name to her, even though I owe her nothing and she starts laughing and yelling even louder embarrassing Me even more saying that's not who you are do you really know who you are you need to get out of here and I'm just like I am really truly confused. I don't even know the gentleman that you're telling me I have a restraining order with she told me to call the Vernon police as I pulled off sobbing because I was mortified, because not only was I just berated by the manager of Starbucks I was embarrassed I was accused of wrongfully being somebody that I was not and told I was a liar to my face as I repeatedly told them my name. As the day went on, I spent my day calling Vernon police department, the Vernon courthouse to make sure that I wasn't crazy and truly did not have a restraining order with somebody who works there even though I knew I didn't. I needed to prove myself to them in my mind, at least. So after texting my best friend Christa about it, she was able to reach out to somebody who happen to know this kid who admitted that they wrongfully. Id'd me as somebody else because I look like them. I was beside myself at that moment, so I called the Starbucks up, and I asked to speak to erin the manager and as I began to tell her she owed me an apology. She said you're correct I do, but and went into every reason why she shouldn't apologize to me because she believed she truly was not in the wrong but also mind you earlier in the day, my mother had called the Starbucks to ask them if my name was actually the name on this restraining order, as my mom repeated my name to this woman, Erin over the phone. She repeatedly said to my mom yes I'm looking at your name on this restraining order so when I got on the phone with Erin the second time and I said hey and by the way, why did you lie about my name being on the paper? She said you're right I did lie but it's my job to protect my partners and why should I believe you over them? I'm just literally in shock right now still beside myself, disappointed blown away, I spend a lot of money there as I go every day out of the week like I stated earlier, I am always pleasant to those people I have always tipped them. I have always been respectful to them and the way I was treated was just unbelievably disgusting and I feel like people have a right to know how certain establishments treat their daily customers so this is my little story for the day. If you really take the time to read this, I appreciate it if you don't and you only read a little bit. I hope you realize that it's not right to sit in somebody's face and tell them that they are a liar even if you really think they're lying that's not the appropriate way to handle it. read more

I love any Starbucks and shame on you for getting your hot drinks anywhere else!!!! What I like about this location is that it has a big interior and lots of space to sit with people. If you are meeting a friend out for a coffee, this is the place to go, much better than any of the other ones around. The downside is that it is in a shopping center with an awful traffic pattern. It also does not have a drive through so it a quick jolt of joe is the thing, then try another location. If a great chat with your friend is your thing, you can't do better. read more
