Drink tasted wrong and when I came in to get it replaced barista had a polite attitude with with me. she did make me a new one that was much better but I feel like the confrontational attitude was unnecessary. Made the rookiest of all rookie mistakes when it comes to first world problems. I sent my mobile order to the wrong location (I know the Starbucks Gods are looking down on me and I will do better, I promise). Small but mighty location, but boy oh boy, getting here can be a pain. You have to cross 4 lanes of one of the busiest roads. Of course my mistake took place during morning rush hour, but it wasn't too hard to access. Drive thru seemed long, but it went by fairly quick. Said my name at the intercom for pick up and the cashier repeated my order for confirmation; everything was ready! I occasionally visit Starbucks, but I came here primarily to get a free holiday cup! 50 cents off grande drinks after 2pm for the next month, I believe. Everything was good and went smoothly. Always a different staff but somehow all are still miserable and unfriendly at best. I've never really minded, the job sucks. But today around 5:30 they put the wrong syrup in my drink that I get all the time. And it was a serious flavor difference, not subtle. I told them my drink tasted like pineapple and she was like "oh well we don't have pineapple." Like girl, I am not here to tell you what syrups you have and don't have and I don't know wtf was in there. So I just shrugged because, what do you want me to say. When I set my drink on the counter to return it she told me "Oh, you can throw your drink away in the trash behind you." Cool. Lo and behold they got the drink right the second time when she made it, but of course already instantly forgot I asked for no ice. I just took it. She didn't really apologize but she did have a little fun trying to gaslight me so I'd think it was all in my head with "wow I don't know what happened, because like we don't even have pineapple," again. Just today about 30minutes ago. We came to this Starbucks to buy 2 Venti Frappuccino. Both Frappuccino taste bland. One of the Venti I ordered is the only flavor I buy for years so I very much know if it's not made right. I wasted almost $13 plus tips for drinks that doesn't give us joy because the barista chose to not make our drinks right. This has been a go to location when going to the YMCA around the corner. So for me I love the Town Center proximity. I will put it out at the top of my review of why I can't get them to a full 5. During both AM and PM rush its a challenge with back-ups in front of their store. I avoid during these peak times. There is only one way in and one way out, so no avoiding. Making a left turn becomes impossible with no light controlling the intersection. The parking lot is good size. The drive-thru is tight, but manageable. To date I've never used it. There is also a patio with 5-6 tables that is kept up nicely. Consistency has been well above average with all operations from the parking lot cleanliness to the restrooms, to the cup of coffee I enjoy weekly to the staff who greet me at the door with a smile. Speaking of the staff they seem happy and have went out of there way on several occasions ensuring satisfaction. It's not big inside, but they are packed with everything you would need on merchandise purchases and displays are attractive. If there is a pet peeve and other Starbucks get this gripe from me too...it's the fact the fill the napkin holder so tight you rip them, or need to pull 10+ out at once. I will continue to use this location and applaud the management for this store. Recommend! read more

There are small *$, there are large *$. This one is more of a Grande than a Venti. Tables inside of the normal configuration and tables outside where you can watch the folks leaving the drive through. Pastries and drinks in the coolers, or just get your coffee and add your milk and sweetener and then get back on to Independence Road. My double espresso (DAHpio? Convenient location with a good fast drive through. When I carpooled with a coworker a few years ago she always wanted to stop in here in the mornings for Starbucks. They are pretty fast and efficient in the morning in the drive through. Their oatmeal is delicious - you get a bunch of little packets of mix ins to add. Brown sugar, cranberries, nuts etc. I've also had their breakfast egg sandwich. Pretty good too. read more

It usually takes 5-10 minutes to zip through the drive-thru. The baristas are cheerful before I'm even awake! I do wish though that my (hot) lattes are filled to the rim since I don't add any creamer or sugar. Maybe I should ask! This spot is pretty accommodating about my "light iced" requests when ordering cold drinks. One mid-morning, I planned to use my free drink reward for a grande light iced soy green tea late. I am soo sick of the lack of accountability for some of the rude ass people that work here. Starbucks is highly over priced and we pay those prices anyway. The very least Jessica could do is be nice, be accommodating, and put a smile on her face while helping guests. We, the patrons that come every day, sometimes twice a day are not responsible for your lack of satisfaction with your life. Whatever your issues are leave then at the door when you start work. If not; Quit and get a job where you don't work with people. I was .15 cents short and she acted like she wanted to stone me ! There was a price difference from the location I had visited the day prior. Thankfully, (with reluctance) the shift manager Brittany allowed me to bring the .15 back and she paid the .15 for me. Overall, this is a good Starbucks location. This was my first visit here as I came in today and was one of the only ones open in the area for the holiday. I came in because I had their Merry Holidays card and it expired today, so I wanted to take full advantage of it. Since it's a holiday, the place was not too busy, but did have a steady crowd, both inside and their drive through window. On this visit, I had ordered the Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino. The frappuccino was good, just like other locations I have been to. The staff were very friendly and willing to help. They have a bit of a different system where the order is printed out on printer and affixed to your cup when you get the order, including the name for the order. I like that since it confirms it is your drink that has come out ready. There isn't a lot of seating at this location, so I wouldn't recommend staying to to work on stuff and such here. Overall, this was a great experience for a Starbucks and the fact that they were open on Christmas Day was a nice plus. The overall mood and experience in there was festive and thoroughly enjoyed that. If you're looking for a Starbucks and in this part of the city, this is a good location to come to. read more

Not pleased with the service and drinks here. I ordered a white chocolate mocha. I sipped it on my way to my sister's and it had white cottage cheese-like chinks in it. I tried to sip more of it but couldn't get past that nasty stuff. So I called them and the lady who took my orders said she would have a new one made up for me when they returned she was pleasant enough. However, when I returned, another staff ( male, this time) tried to tell me it was the white chocolate sprinkles I said no it was bbigher cottage cheese like chunks and not those white sprinkle balls. So he made up a fresh one for me but not willingly. I dot have any problems paying for something but if it is not right, either refund my money or make it right. This is the closest Starbucks to my place but I usually don't visit because of the awkward location but tonight I was truly impressed. I met up with a couple of my friends to go over some business concepts and had ordered the London Fog (Earl Grey Tea Latte) with almond milk. The drink by its self was great but it is not why I am writing this review. One of the concepts I was explaining took a bit more effort and was a bit more challenging to grasp. We had been going at it for about 20-30 mins and I was definitely feeling fatigued. Out of nowhere came David with 3 waters! He said he thought we could use them as it looked like we were doing math! Worst starbucks I've ever been to. The one less than a mile away off va beacb blvd and independence is 100x better. Been here only 3 times and everg experience has been awful. Experiences 1. Girlfriend ask for no whip, is handed a mocha with whip tells the barista it was wrong and she acts like it was my gfs fault with a major attitude. 2. Do you like hot dirty water? If so, this is the place you want to get your coffee at. Yesterday my husband and I stopped by this location for a Frap and a Latte. My frap was delish, however, my husband's tasted like they used the water that they cleaned the espresso machine with. His was a flavored latte as well, but there was no trace of white chocolate. This is not the first time we have had disappointments with this Starbucks. We use to order the Caramel Macchiato, however, after many times either returning for a better tasting one or driving away and then realizing it tastes horrible, we stopped ordering them. Now you might be thinking to yourself "Friend, why do you keep returning to a place where you receive consistently bad drinks?" And I would say "Well friend, it is so close to our house, we are forever optimistic and we just don't learn that when we stick our hand in the fire we get burnt". Dumbass me got rather overzealous once, pulled into the first entrance and awkwardly tried to get into the drive thru and got sniffed by a few a folks who wouldn't let me squeeze in line.
