Starbucks! What were you thinking? You had the most perfect chai tea latte and you ruined it. I heard through the grapevine that the recipe was changed and that it was horrible, but I didn't believe it until today. I don't know what sadistic MF change the recipe but they need to be fired. It's difficult to describe the flavor. I can imagine it came from the pits of hell. It must be Satan's swill. And I have to ask, do your taste testers all have Covid? Have their taste buds been destroyed? Why would you subject the innocent public to that travesty? I picked up my order on my way to work today. Now I'm driving to work and I can't get that taste out of my mouth. It's so disgusting. Whose nasty backwash did you put in my cup? I'm ready to drink bleach to get that flavor out of my mouth. Starbucks come in different shapes and sizes. This store is a tiny drive-thru walk up which makes it unique to the Virginia Beach coffee scene. So if your always on the go this location may make scene to you. I am more accustomed to enjoying a cup inside with a paper and chatting up regulars. So although this has been a good option just off the Virginia Beach Boulevard and Great Neck Road it's not a favorite. The building itself is pretty neat and constructed of reclaimed wood. The foot print is bigger than a kiosk but it's also the smallest brick and mortar I've ever seen from Starbucks. The walk-up offers a few spots and that's all good. Maneuvering is a bit tricky. The drive-thru shoot is typically adequate to accommodate six cars, or so. Much more they would be on the road. I have easily had a few dozen visits over the four years since the shop opened in 2015. The drinks have been a bit more inconsistent than other locations, but still better than others at times. My usual Grande White Chocolate Mocha last week was good. Service has been more straight forward and cash you out then get to know you. I personally embrace the aspect of service at coffee shops. With a coffee running in the $4-$5 range I deserve it. I've never had an issue with my app on cashing me out. For a on the go this is a good option for coffee. 3.5, rounding down with in personal service. read more

You can tell how good a coffee shop is by the quality of their regular coffee. And I go to various coffee shops. Up and down the East Coast, and I get the same thing regular coffee, cream and sugar can't mess it up, but this establishment whom calls themselves Starbucks have the audacity to serve me a warm coffee that taste like it's been sitting there for about four hours. Know please correct me if I'm wrong but Starbucks ,a coffee chain should be top of the food chain amongst other coffee shops,, should be the highest in qualityi and service. I've driven by here tons of times. Usually I was just in the wrong lane or not flowing the right way to get here. The location is only easily accessible from one direction. Today I was headed the right direction on Great neck and was determine to make it happen. The lot is not accessible from the shopping center so I parked near the street entrance but on the other side of the barrier and walked over. I never realized that this was a drive-up/walk-up only location. My first experience with one of these. The cashier was very friendly. She tried to get the app scanner to work about 7 times with no luck. With the way S-Bucks encourages using the app there should be so many issued with the scanner. The cashier told me that this was the worst scanner she has ever used. She apologized and typed in the card number from the app. My first Peppermint Moca! Short. FYI I ordered my first short today. Shorts only cost a few cents less than a tall i.e. less than a dollar. read more

On my way to the First Landing beach and wanted a pick me up. This location is so convenient. The staff was great and my drink was on point. I ordered a Venti Caramel Cocoa Cluster Frapp. Love it when the Baristas are gracious with the caramel and fudge sauce without me asking. I'll usually order the Smore's Frapp w/out coffee for my kids buy Starbucks doesn't have it this summer. She suggested the Serious Strawberry Frapp and my kids loved it! read more

This Starbucks, located on the corner of VB Blvd. and Great Neck Rd., descended from the heavens apart overnight about a year ago. And, man, am I glad it did. This SBux used to be a nightmare for me to get into and boy, did I loathe it. But today I figured out another way to get in (well, basically, I found the main entrance) and now I'm happy with the geographical specifications of this place. Reggie, the barista, always gives me killer service and gets my drink right every time (even though it's a six-step process to make my special drink). I, normally, think it's redundant to review places like SBux or 7-Eleven because they're all so similar; but this place is awwwwesome. read more

went through drive through to get my favorite summer time drink - PINK DRINK. the only pic i have of this drink is after i drank it all cause it's just THAT good. idk what it is about it that makes me love it so much! it's strawberry acai refresher but instead of water, they used coconut milk. This is a regular Drive Thru Starbucks, nothing special, nothing additional, another Starbucks Drive Thru Store. They are always ready when picking up, always good service. Sometimes there is a little bit of queue, not many space for cars, but its okay, I like their Soy Mocha with extra foam!! read more

Drive-Thru service is super quick here, it's better than going to regular Starbucks. Especially on days when you have to hurry up and go, you probably won't be waiting here for longer than 10 minutes. And for some reason the drinks taste better drive-thru, I don't know what it is. Their hot tea is good and I always get frapps. Conveniently located in front of Asia Grocery, a lot of traffic comes through here, I'm sure this Starbucks gets a lot of business. read more

This Sbux is such a cool place, it's mainly drive thru but you can certainly walk up to get your beverage. Every visit here has been great (except some have forgotten to give me light ice with my iced beverages) but that's small compared to how pleasant everyone is. My neighborhood Starbucks is always on point. I use the mobile app to order and they have my drink ready as requested when I pick it up. The staff are friendly and quick at their jobs. Only issue I've encountered is the tight driving path and parking - people don't seem to know how to drive when the space is limited so there's been a few times where I've been blocked in because of other drivers. Aside from that, this Starbucks is my go-to. read more

Even as a customer when I go to other Starbucks in the area the friendliness and 'welcome' feeling is not there. This is an extremely convenient location at the corner of N Great Neck and Virginia Beach Boulevard. As we find ourselves picking up our daughter from London Bridge Baptist and making routine trips to the nearby TJ Maxx store, we're thankful. It's also in the same plaza as my favorite sandwich spot, Philadelphia Cold Cuts. Note that this is a drive through only location with no available inside seating or tables. I'm not sure if they'll have available outside tables in the warm weather but I expect not just looking at the way the location is set up. The service that I've gotten here has always been top notch. These are possibly some of the friendliest baristas that I've encountered at a Starbucks! My drinks have come out correctly every single time without exception and it's always been fast! I went through the drive through at 6:15 pm I was told that the pike place coffee was cold and she would brew a fresh pot and bring my drinks out. Well, I figure at least I could do was go to the window to keep young lady from walking around. I received my coffees , 10 min later and cold. I was told sorry and they could remake. Third time and young lady said, here try these ! Third time is a charm Well something must be wrong with there machine . So they gave me a refund and I went down the street, to another Starbucks. The staff is genuinely nice and super polite and provide quick and excellent service. The drinks and food are the consistent Starbucks quality you expect everytime. Ordered my drink that I get everyday, when the girl handed it to me I told her it was incorrect, she informed me I was wrong. Supposedly fixed it and very sarcastically told me to have a nice rest of my day. When I tasted it it was watered down. So basically what they did was poured some out and added coconut milk. I ordered a tall caramel macchiato and it was $5.05 even though the sign says $3.75. I normally understand that I'm overpaying at Starbucks anyways but this seems extreme. This Starbucks is great. I've gone multiple times without any problems and my drinks are always made exactly right. However, this past weekend a few hours after I bought coffee at this Starbucks- where you have to hand over your card- I got a text from my bank saying that I had a fraudulent charge for $380 to my account. Fortunately, they were able to deny it and my funds weren't stolen. This was the only place I have been to where I did not personally swipe my card, nor was I able to watch as my card was swiped. We are from out of town and wanted to stop for coffee, the drive thru line was pretty long and we noticed a little walk-up window, we thought it would be quicker to order on foot. Walked up and stood behind the one lady in line. She gets up to the window and is talking, talking--taking her time. We were in a rush so it was a little annoying. She orders her drinks and steps to the side. We walk up and start to order and they tell us "We actually aren't taking orders at this window-- the lady in front of you works here so she was allowed to order. We only do pick up and online orders at this window." We waited for 10 minutes, and weren't able to order. It would have been nice if they just took our order after seeing that we had been standing there for some time. Went through the drive thru, and they had run out of whip cream. Got to the drive thru window to pick up our order and they seemed like they had no idea what we had ordered and maybe they even lost half of our order. Took 20minutes just to get coffee.
