I made a partial payment and then had to reload my card. Their computer froze and they had to reboot it. They said it would be awhile, but since they had taken $10 off my card already I waited. When they brought it back up the order was gone, but the money wasn't back on my card. Told me it might take a few hours to show up in the app. Paid for the whole order again. Insult to injury, worst mocha ever. It somehow doesn't taste like coffee or chocolate, just hot watery milk. read more

My Favorite Starbucks!! I drive past 2 others because I love the baristas here! Today I had a really long day so I stopped in for a Carmel brulee and I saw Shelby,Ryn and Nyla all were super nice and friendly and even had conversation for a few minutes which I absolutely needed after today. The store is always clean. This store is very well organized, very well lit and I always feel safe coming in and out of the store. The coffee is always good and on the off chance it's not. You literally just walk up and say hey. This tastes off and they'll fix it for you. I've done this myself!! This will continue to be my number one Starbucks in the area! This Starbucks is located in the Landstown Commons Shopping Center. It's located at the one way road around a set of stores and restaurants in the two buildings. It is on the corner. One thing to note is that parking can be extremely limited in that area during peak times. It may be best to park in the parking area just across the road there in the shopping center. My most recent visit here was on March 3, 2020. I have been to this Starbucks several times over the past few months. I don't go to any Starbucks regularly, but I have taken advantage of when they have buy one, get one free promotions since I do have a Starbucks card (not their credit card). Every time I have been in here, the place hasn't been overly busy or felt herded so to speak (the one at Red Mill is smaller in size, so it can feel like you're being packed like sardines at times there). They have some seating available in here as well. I have always been greeted with a smile from the staff when visiting. After a few times, they started to remember who I was. Ordering has always been very easy. The time it takes for the drinks to be ready isn't long either. The usual drink I go for here is the Vanilla Frappuccino. Overall, this has become my to go place if and when I go to a Starbucks. The staff are friendly and great to have conversation with. Everything comes out quickly and as ordered. The bonus is that there is more space inside too. If you are in the Landstown area and looking for a Starbucks, this is the place to go. read more

Seems like they are under staffed. Server was friendly but extremely overwhelmed with the work load and the bathroom was filthy.

This is the Starbucks location that's nestled inside the Landstown Commons shopping center. There is a wonderful outdoor seating area with plenty of shade. This is one of my favorite Starbucks locations in Va beach. The service is always spot on and prompt. Came here yesterday to try to their summer drink the "Strawberry Funnel Cake Frappuccino". It was as advertised. Very delicious and organic. It was topped with crumbled Graham crackers and whipped topping. There is an option for "without coffee". I chose to go with the coffee because well it's a frap. Haha. Seriously it's unfortunate that it's only a limited item but it is so worth the drive and price. I've always been a fan of their Frappuccino's and this did not disappoint at all. If you are a fan of funnel cakes please try this. It was a liquid carnival for sure! read more

Oh, dear Landstown Starbucks.. why must you be so convenient yet so anger-inducing?! I had started coming back in regularly over the past month for a quick breakfast sandwich and cup of decaf. But you have me questioning if I'm really getting what I order. When I mobile order, I send and pick up no more than 2-3 minutes later. My cup of "decaf" is always hot and ready the moment I step in the store and my sandwich is hot from the oven. Great. Here's the issue: Twice I have had to get my decaf the old-fashioned way - in person. On the first occasion, cream was added to a mobile-ordered cup and it wasn't specified (I only asked for light room - I use my own condiments at work) so it had to be remade. Today I used the $4 "thank you" for having to wait the first time that you remade my coffee (note to mobile users: you can't use these gift cards on the app as they don't have a pin). On both occasions, fresh drip decaf had to be made, which left me waiting for at least 5-7 minutes. Being the logical person that I am, it leads me to believe that my MANY previous mobile orders of plain decaf, ready in a snappy 2-3 minutes, weren't actually decaf. It seems that only when I am present in person and have eyes on what is happening, do I have to wait considerably longer for the decaf to actually be brewed - amazing how that has happened twice now. There are legitimate, medical reasons for avoiding decaf and the thought that I have been unwillingly ingesting it for the past several weeks, after explicitly requesting not to, is sickening. I was willing and had been giving this location another chance. No longer. read more

As far as Starbucks go this is a good one, not a great one. There is not a lot of room to sit at peak times and the staff has been inconsistent. I still use them, but try to avoid being a regular with another shop in close proximity that is superior. I practically live at the YMCA across the street so the location in the Landstown Commons is Great. There is surface parking every where including convenient parking in front. The lot and walks have had minor debris. The staff are inconsistent on service and drinks I typically order a white chocolate mocha. The turn around time for a cup when busy has been good. The store has merchandise if interested. Restrooms are in the rear and usually well maintained. I will keep giving them a try since they are convenient and hope the inconsistencies with service and drinks are improved. read more

I LOVE ME SO GOOD HOT COFFEE IN THE MORNING!!!! When i walked in I was greeted right away, very pleasant folks this morning!! I ordered a Grande Vanilla Blonde Hot Latte and Gruyere & Bacon Egg Bites (I seriously wish I knew how to make these- they are so lite and fluffy) as usual they were both very hot. I will say they didn't have many places for seating but I felt they had the space to add just a few more. I came in to this Starbucks as I was getting ready to leave and go home. I was visiting my best friend (who lives here in VA Bch.) while I was on vacation this past week. The young lady at the register (who is named Saara(?) was very polite and nice) her manager, Christian, was also really nice. They made my drink extra special and were so thoughtful in making me feel like I was the only customer there! I was expressing I had a long drive home, Christian was very friendly & social in asking where I had to drive. When I said Charlottesville he said, "oh yes that is a long way, we will be sure to take good care of you". And yes! They did take good care of me. Their store was very clean and inviting. My matcha tea was made with sour milk. I placed a mobile order on my way to work and left the store to enjoy it, only to find it had a yogurt like aftertaste. This is definitely not a mix up but sour milk! Poor poor cleanliness and bad hygiene habits here at this location is my guess! I'm really pissed because I'm pregnant and this is already giving me nausea. These workers need better training because this is NOT COOOL: working in the food service industry should be taken SERIOUSLY. You don't just serve people with milk that's been sitting out. My guess is the people working here are lazy judging by the attitudes I get from certain cashiers that work here, but thanks now my baby is at risk of listeria. This location is great... it is located in the Landstown Shopping Center which I love to visit on weekends as a general rule anyway. This location is fairly new and clean and well-maintained. This happens to be the spot where I first had the mocha cookie crumble frappe and so it has a special place in my heart for introducing me to that little delight. The staff are very friendly and I've always had pleasant and prompt experiences with them - they seem to go out of their way to be helpful and answer any questions you might have sometimes even going too far if you ask me by talking to the customers in front of me forever and offering for them to sample things... It doesn't have a large amount of seating - maybe about 4 tables inside and another 2 smaller seating areas. There are about 4 tables outside too for those who like to people watch. This is my home Starbucks as it is the closest one to me. Not to mention, it's inside Landstown Commons near the stores like Kohl's, Five Below, Ulta, and Ross, so I can grab a drink and walk/drive to the nearby stores. I love coming here with family to buy drinks, and just sit down and talk. My orders usually switch up but this time I mobile ordered a iced green tea latte with 3 pumps of peppermint. My mom and I walked in to pick up our order. We arrived a little too early as Jordan(sp?), our barista, was still making my mom's frap. We asked if she could split the venti frap into two grande cups bc my mom and sister wanted to share it. Jordan said of course! Her energy lit up the room. I took a sip from my drink, and she asked me if it tasted good. I really appreciated how she took the time to ask and make sure that my drink tasted good to me. In addition to that, she offered us a free mocha frap, I guess because they made the wrong one. Jordan made my visit to Starbucks a one to remember. Her customer service was off the chart. It would have to be a really horrible Starbucks to take any stars off. I go in there maybe twice a month. The baristas are pleasant and serve my Pike Place up lickety-split. What more can you ask for? The one time I used the facilities it was clean. Nice. Wash your hands you dirty bird. Finally, I think the only thing I don't like about this location is the hippies sitting out on the curb at the tables taking up all of the chairs. The Bad: I placed my order with Eric. Come on buddy. A smile would help. My order, a peach green tea lemonade, lite ice, no water. Eric takes my order and it was clear that the tickets were not printing because orders were only being written on cups. It must have been my specific requests. Eric did not write my order on a cup. Figuring he told the barista Brian, I assumed my drink would be made as requested. The Ugly: After 3 drinks were made for people who clearly ordered after me, Brian asked me what I ordered. I explained to him a peach green tea lemonade lite ice no additional water. Brian made my drink and filled the cup up 2/3 with ice. SMH guys horrible experience. What is up Starbucks? Gone are the days of having employees talking pride in working for Starbucks, providing superior service, and getting it right. It seems managers and associates that once cared for everyone have disappeared. All replaced with subpar individuals who don't attempt to provide the services Starbucks built its reputation on.
