This Starbucks is located right off the 15/17 next to Outback and is usually very busy. Today was no exception. The drive thru line had a good half dozen cars waiting so I decided to place a mobile order and go inside for pickup. Turned out to be a very good decision. My mobile order was available for pickup in under 5 minutes and I was able to park pick up and get out before a couple of the cars I had seen in line. Mobile order is a huge time saver and I highly recommend downloading the Starbucks app just for the ability to mobile order and not have to wait. This is a smallish Starbucks but order pickup is right in front if you as you walk through the door. Super easy. It's got a decent amount of seating both inside and out with a nice patio area where you can bring your dog. Bathrooms were clean, which is also a nice bonus. Overall a very pleasant Starbucks with courteous competent staff. I will definitely be back. read more

Clean convenient spot off 29 just before the fork off 29/17 either to Warrenton or Culpepper bypass. We stopped by about 7:30 am and no other customer was there. My extra shot made my mocha praf inedibly and intolerably bitter. I think it was bad proportion. It lacked the necessary amount of milk...ordinarily, i'd prefer a strong coffee but with the right amount of everything else that makes up a mocha praf. I stopped by here on a Sunday afternoon around 1:30 PM. The area shares some traffic with neighboring restaurants, but I was able to easily find a parking spot, although I'd recommend being careful driving around the lot as you do have to contend with people exiting the drive-through as well as people parking and un-parking their cars. The store was a good size, and had a couple of tables outside which were pretty perfect for the nice weather that afternoon. The store itself wasn't too busy, but the drive-through seemed to be generating most of the business at the time. I ordered a grande pink drink, but my order somehow fell through the cracks and I wound up waiting about 20 minutes for what is probably one of the easier drinks to make. I don't think I was the only one whose drink got delayed; 1 of the other customers was waiting for his drink for awhile and when he finally got it, he wished me luck as he left while the barista was asking me if I was waiting for something. A woman who got her drink before me had ordered a dragonfruit mango drink which, based on the pictures all over every Starbucks store, is supposed to be purple. She was pretty surprised when the barista handed her what looked like a cup of iced milk, without any explanation. It turned out they'd run out of the dragonfruit part so they just gave her the mango and coconut milk part. While I'm sure it would've tasted alright, it seemed pretty bold for them to hand over a drink that looked so drastically different from what was actually ordered, without bothering to explain until the customer pressed to make sure she'd gotten the right order. The barista even admitted he didn't know if it would taste the same without the dragonfruit. Ultimately the customer asked if she could at least get strawberries in it instead, which they were willing to do. I don't know what it is about this location but they consistently don't make drinks the same as other locations. I have also had my orders very wrong on multiple occasions. There seem to be a couple employees who know what is going on but one can't always be there when they are available. Most recent I ordered a venti iced green tea lemonade sweetened. I ended up with an iced black tea with Splenda and no lemonade. I've ordered some of the newer drinks designed with the foam at the top but I end up with the drink mixed. Another time the foam tasted sour like someone hadn't kept it in the fridge so that it spoiled. The other reviews on this location with similar complaints are fairly accurate. I don't understand how the training or lack of attention differs so severely compared to the Starbucks store inside of town just a couple miles away. read more

There must've been 10 cars in line and the store was packed but they had me in and out in less than 5 minutes. I'm traveling and had a big order and was shocked at how efficient they were given the rush. Got a free banana bread, since the barista forgot to add the same in my order. He made sure I didn't have to come back in line and order a new one but rather gave me one for free. Like the service here. Another thing I observed was the wine menu. Wow didn't know Starbucks ever did wine and dine. See attached pics for more details. Although this is in an odd location, the service and attention to detail is great. This is the most convenient location on my way into work in Fairfax, or into Gainesville. The staff is very friendly, and willing to provide suggestions. Although their lines are long, they move fairly quickly. Of not, the staff is great about giving you and update. I visited this Starbucks several times over the past couple weeks. The staff is always super friendly and upbeat, and the drinks are always perfect! Today when I stopped in to pick up my mobile order, I realized I had made a mistake. The staff was understanding and very accommodating, even though it was my mistake. Definitely "above and beyond" customer service! The only thing I don't like about this location, is it's location isn't ideal if you're traveling southbound on 29 because you have to end up doing a U-turn in order to continue going south. My wife and I stopped in here at 6AM on Saturday morning on our way down to NC for the Labor Day weekend. There were 3 girls there, doing their prep work to prepare for the day. They were friendly, very attentive and got our order right. I totally didn't realize they had a drive-thru, hey it was 6am and still dark outside!, so when I asked the girl for soy milk and she gave me the "hold on a sec" finger I was a bit put off at her 'tude until I realized that she was actually taking an order from the drive-thru! I quickly apologized and waited for her to get back to me. And she added the soy milk free of charge, which was cool since they normally up-charge for soy with other drink orders. This is my go-to Starbucks if I'm driving back to Boston (from Charlottesville) or heading to the Dulles Airport. It's a great stop a little over an hour away from Charlottesville. Once I get going I stop here as a treat and bathroom break. Just like any other Starbucks with their drink and food selection + they have outdoor seating for sunny days. One employee my guess manager or shift lead with multi colored hair outside smoking then talking to customers and straighting rugs. Then cleaning counters and such never washed her hands then went into kitchen. Unsanitary I do health inspections. Then I ask for sugar there was no raw sugar or regular they were to busy telling me to check everywhere instead of customer satisfaction AND I'm not blind I used last packet before I ask you for some. If you can't do your job get a new one. Because I would have fired you if I was your boss. My number 1 rule is the customer is always right read more

I usually stop in at this location several times a week while my kids are at sports activities. It's a chance to have a coffee and enjoy the internet. They no longer have reliable internet. It's rare that it is working. If you are planning to use the internet skip this Starbucks. The one in town doesn't work either, so skip that one too. We are currently using the internet in Harris Teeter and buying an iced tea from the store, not the Starbucks located in the store. Fire your managers, they are not during their jobs. read more

Definitely my go-to location.. I have lived in the Warrenton areas for ~4yrs and this is the place I go, I will go out of my way just to stop here, the staff are awesome..always always friendly. Not sure what they do to the coffee (nor do I care), but it just tastes better from here. The employees at this location are top tier. I went through the drive-thru and, unfortunately, they forgot an ingredient in my drink. I went inside to get it fixed, and Anna was more than happy to remake my drink with a smile on her face. This is my Home Base Starbucks, living barely two miles away. That said, I visit here often; usually 5 or 6 times a week. Have made it a goal to know each of the staff by name, and they almost all know me by sight (or at least by drink). Never have to order, as I get the same drink everytime. If I'm with my daughter, they all know her drink also, and go out of their way to say hello, and ask how she is. Store always clean, staff pleasant, and product perfect. America tends to burn their beans so the actual espresso at star bucks is pretty crappy. However the teas, pastries and cream based options are wonderful. Always have good service and the general standard for a product that leaves the store is top notch and while you always get a lazy punk that slips through some how the company really strives to weed those out. I'm incredibly surprised by the great reviews. They have the slowest drive-thru I have ever seen. I've been to this place numerous times as it is on my route to work but have left the drive thru line and gone to work without coffee so many times because they take at least 10 minutes to fill your order, even with only 2 cars in front of you! They also sell out of many breakfast items very quickly, which makes me wonder why they don't have more on hand. I've also received burnt sandwiches, and wrong orders. Granted many of the people that work there are friendly, but this is not a great Starbucks. Also, to those people here who like to rant about why there should not be drive thrus (you know who you are..Neil), I am guessing you can't comprehend that maybe some of the people who use them have a baby in the car and don't want to take them out while they are sleeping. Or maybe there are elderly people patronizing this store that find it difficult to get out of the car. Food for thought. read more
