Review #1111 My very first covid-19 review - only makes sense to do so as a Seattleite. This is also the first establishment that I visited after my move to the area. That said, I have only been here a couple of times because it is always so busy. I like to customize my drink but the baristas never really followed my mobile order instructions. It is located directly in front of the #71 bus stop, which is a busy line bringing people into Cambridge. As things start to open up, Starbucks sent me an email alerting me that my rewards points would start to expire again. While I am hesitant to go out, I decided to pay a visit since it looks like we will be in this era for the next 2 - 3 years. I tried to redeem my points by ordering two drinks via the Starbucks app. However, the 150 stars only applied towards one drink and charged me for the other. So I had to put in two separate orders so I could redeem the 300 points I have on profile. There should be a way for me to redeem both drinks in one order, right? When I got there, the front door facing the street is now exit-only, and you enter from the parking lot entrance. Once inside, I saw two lines, left for mobile order and right for grab and go. No seating is allowed inside the store and the bathroom is closed. There were only two employees. There were two people waiting in front of me for mobile order and two people for walk-in order. I saw my drinks sitting at the counter, but I had to approach the barista to retrieve them. I am a little disappointed that it is not entirely contactless. There are plenty of locations where the drinks are just left on the counter and you are free to pick up your order and go. Also, there was no paper bag when I asked the barista, so she gave me a used paperboard box as a cup holder. My frappuccino came with plenty of whip cream, where I specifically requested no whip. Again, I think the location is so busy that the barista simply does not have the time to actually carefully follow instructions. A disappointment but a common problem for Starbucks locations (except the ones located in midtown NYC, they get way more traffic but always follow mobile customizations diligently! They rock!). But, that is just a first-world problem.

Super busy even at 6pm on a weeknight, there were no tables or seats available inside. And because it was raining, nothing outside. I opted not to stick around and went elsewhere to do my drinking and laptopping.

How it came I received it. Before drinking.

So we got a 6 dollar drink and 90% was ice and when I got the drink it wasn't even fully filled. Never had this problem with other locations. I remember ordering a drink, not ice.

Pretty busy location. Try to avoid it between 8-9am if you are not in a hurry to get your coffee. Parking lot is always full. Some of the customers park very bad. Aside that, the coffee shop is very good. The stuff behind the counter are really good and quick. Even in a busy morning I haven't waited more than 5 Minutes to receive my order. The location has enough seating space. I haven't been there in the afternoon, so I can't tell if it's busy or not. I will update that info once I know it. Thanks, Daniel K

My first pumpkin cream cold brew was perfect! Mobile ordered this and showed up less than 5 min after. Waited for a hot minute among at least 6-8 others, and mine was ready! I was in and out within 3 min. Super busy for a Sunday morning around 12 though.

This is how full it was! Why charge for a tall if it's not even halfway full! Rip off!

I usually try to avoid this location.. they don't even fill the drinks up half way!! Also, I always order the same thing the Gouda sandwich with no meat and of course they always throw a bunch of meat on the sandwich.

The black sesame latte was something I had never tried anywhere before, I got it hot and it was absolutely incredible. Such a unique flavor that worked perfectly. I also ordered their salmon breakfast sandwich, and I only have good things to say. The salmon was fresh, all of the accompaniments were perfect. I took the first seat I could find, but the tables are small, very close together and a bit wobbly. But that couldn't stop me from enjoying my meal.

After some deliberation, I went for the smoked salmon, avocado and egg sandwich! I had just come off a red-eye flight and man... that thing HIT THE SPOT! It was probably the best smoked salmon sandwich I have had. The bread was so FLUFFY and soft, and the eggs were buttery, which paired really well with the avocado and the spread they used. I would highly recommend! It was the perfect size, and I was satisfied after having it. Seating was self serve, as you just take the Number placard to any table you find available. They serve you the food when it is ready. The service was pretty quick (~10-15 min), given that it was pretty busy on a Monday morning. You can grab a cup of water at their self-serve station. They also had wifi with a pretty strong connection (big plus in my book). Overall, I would go back for certain! I would like to try the whole menu if I could because everything looked so good!

For food we ordered the eggplant sando and the chicken piccata sandwich. While both tasted good, I was surprised at how much more I enjoyed the eggplant one. The chicken sandwich was also good with thin layers of chicken, and flavored well. However I liked the chicken where as for eggplant I felt the sandwich as a whole worked well. I would have loved more of it, because the bites that did get some were absolutely delicious in enhancing flavor with the egg. The sandwich itself is larger than expected, bigger than a typical slider which was a pleasant surprise. I also ordered an incredible Apple Cheddar biscuit on the side. Great experience and I highly recommend visiting if you're looking for quick and convenient breakfast, with a great quality and fair price!

Note, the "contamination" consisted of the woman a) holding the cup of hot chocolate and, b) walking to her table with it. On a previous occasion, he yelled at an older woman in her 90s because she needed to sit down on a chair while he was sweeping. He snidely told her that she should go outside if she needed to sit. I will say that they lose points (in my books) just based on my personal preferences. First off, being a brewery, expect there to be a STRONG smell of beer. Even though I wasn't in there for long, I could still find myself getting a headache and not enjoying the strong smell. I'll also say that the service I received the morning I went wasn't the best, and the man who made my drink definitely did not want to be there. As I've mentioned in other reviews I've done, I rate places HEAVILY based on service and kindness. Overall, the coffee was decent, but there are better places to go on Waltham that I would rather go to instead.
