    The Breakfast Sandwich, Cappucino
    Salma S.

I had an okay brunch at Temptations Cafe. I have gone multiple times for coffee - I really like their drinks, and I love the variety of flavors they have. Today I decided to try their food for the first time, and it was fine. I got the breakfast sandwich - it tasted a bit bland and the bread was overly toasted, but it wasn't bad. I definitely would recommend the drinks though - my pumpkin cappuccino was great. As for the ambience, I always love going to Temptations with my friends to study or just to hang out because it has such a cozy, homey vibe. The staff are also so friendly and they really make the place feel comforting. I like this place and I'd return again, but only for their drinks, not the food.

    Honey Ham and Swiss Panini

I had the smoked honey ham and Swiss panini. It was a bit expensive for a sandwich but I really enjoyed how crisp the bread was after they pressed it. The sandwich itself was delicious, but onions and tomato's and some kind of secret sauce I think? Even though it was early for dinner on a Sunday the place was pretty crowded, so I might recommend taking it to go.

We visited Temptations seeing that this is a local Brookline breakfast spot. The sandwich I ordered was pretty average -- nothing to write home about. While it's not particularly notable, it's definitely a solid spot for a casual bite. One of the best parts of our visit was the convenience for getting work done. They have charging outlets under the seats and free Wi-Fi, which made it super easy to stay productive. We weren't the only ones who thought so; there were a few other folks working there as well. Overall, Temptations Cafe is a cool place to get some work done while grabbing a casual bite. Not the most remarkable food, but the atmosphere and amenities make it worth a visit.

    Chicken Florentine Panini

The café is a cute and cozy little spot tucked into Brookline, with free wifi and various seating (booths, tables, and bars), though the place quickly gets packed on weekends. The staff were quick despite the influx of customers, and I really enjoyed the chicken florentine panini. I also ordered a hot coffee, but it tasted fairly burnt, and my friend similarly did not like her mocha. They have a large tea selection though, so perhaps one of those may have been the better choice.

Had the Breakfast Sandwich on a bagel with bacon. Very solid, would get again if in the mood for breakfast. Will be back to try other stuff in future if ever in the area.

Don't get ham and Swiss panini unless you love mayo. Uneatable with the amount of salty mayo. Makes me wanna puke. Coffee was good tho.

    Iced espresso with almond milk
    Aya R.

Dining method: Ordered at counter, to-go Item(s) ordered: Iced espresso with almond milk Speed: Waited for about 5 minutes Ambiance: Just a basic café. A little outdated (very 2010s wood) but nice and clean. Value: It cost $4.81 (and then some for tip) for the espresso and splash of almond milk, which is quite pricey. Especially since they barely used any almond milk, compared to a drink like a latte. The photo is the full amount including ice, splash of almond milk, and espresso. The review: Temptations café serves a really great espresso, and frankly one of the best I've had in Boston. It's a medium-dark roast with deep flavor. The almond milk perfectly complements the espresso. The staff were very kind and the barista offered to add more almond milk to my liking. I do have to say that this was more expensive than most places, so I likely would only return if I'm in the area and very much in need of a caffeine fix.

Would rate 5/5 on drinks, 4/5 on food. We got the customer favorite: iced pandan matcha (with oat milk for preference) -- overall: good matcha color & flavor, pandan was not too sweet, ice ratio was good. My bf really enjoyed this one! I also got the Iced Saigonese -- strong viet coffee, still yummy with the sweetness & the foam on top enhanced the creaminess of the drink. We ordered the BBQ Pork Bahn Mi + egg, I would recommend adding the egg for sure! The egg was creamy & runny, giving it extra flavor. However, Bahn mi itself was not particularly special. We actually ordered the egg after tasting the Bahn mi & it was a little dry. Nice location, seating inside & outside but construction was happening outside, so it wasn't as enjoyable. We had went around 1PM on a Wednesday & the seats were filled. Saw some people with computers, with no problem.

I waited a little while for my drink but it wasn't too bad. There were a lot of students working on their laptops so it was kind of hard to get a table inside, but they have outdoor seating and it was much easier to find a spot out there. I'll definitely be back!!

I'm so glad they kept this location in the area as it is really nice to have in the heart of the Longwood Medical area between the schools and hospitals, and it is nice to have the full store in addition to the pick-up only location at Beth Israel. Anyone who goes through this area knows it can get pretty busy in this area, especially during the mid-morning rush with the hustle and bustle of people going to work, appointments, or class. Even when it's busy, they have a good rhythm and get the drinks and food orders out efficiently, while still keeping good quality. The staff have been great, and they really do care about getting the orders done right. If I am more pressed for time, I try to order ahead extra early just to make sure when I get there my order will be ready or almost ready, and I haven't had any issues with delays. This location is up to the Starbucks standards that I expect!

I came in to get some cups , lids , and straws . That they sell for cold beverages. I also got a dragonfruit refresher it's in the picture. The ambience is not too friendly or welcoming. I hope it's just a bad day for them today. Because usually all Starbucks, I have been too normally have a great attitude. The bathroom was also dirty and the place was a bit dirty . This is why I didn't want to get a pastry or a food item today .
