Good downtown location with outdoor seating. But I saw Mac and cheese on display. And a charcuterie. Seriously, Starbucks? Seriously?

Let me start off by saying, I am not one to rant about my actual product from a restaurant or food venue unless it is completely wrong.. But it seems to be a reoccurring problem with Starbucks as a whole.. i never step foot in Starbucks until this season comes around. I wait every year for them to bring back the "Salted Caramel Mocha Frap" and now that it's back they can't seem to be consistent.. I ordered one 2 days in a row from this particular location and the first one (Oct 26,2017) was perfect. But this one today (Oct 27,2017) was far from correct. They clearly knew which product I wanted because on the side of the cup it reads SCMF (Salted caramel mocha frap) well they decided to give me a regular caramel frap and just put the salt on it like I wouldn't notice the difference! I noticed right when I looked at it, it was not right. I Was unable to approach the facility due to the fact I am at work and I had a friend pick up the beverage for me.. This is an employee issue so I am not going to hold the brand accountable YET, but in the future if this continues I will begin to lose faith in their brand! The beverage itself was good but it was NOT what I wanted, and considering I have worked in the food/ customer service industry my whole life; it is frustrating to the customer to have an image, a TASTE they crave and on arrival was not at all what they desired. Be Leary of take out orders, and check your purchase quality before departing starbucks establishments.. employee consistency is an ongoing issue. read more

I come to this Starbucks awesome and busy or slow always get fantastic customer service. I'm here on a Sunday with a bigger crowd than normal and Tommy (shift supervisor) and his team are handling the crowd quickly and dealing with complaints professionally. This is by far the best Starbucks I've ever been to. I used to have an aversion to the bux because of the corporate/conglomerate nature of the beast. While you are at Cityplace and you are in the mood for some Starbucks, this cute joint is located right in the middle of it. There are quite a bit of indoor and outdoor tables. I have seen a lot of students here doing homework. Ah, I don't miss those days ;) My coffee came quick. I ordered a white chocolate mocha and I had it in my hand in less than a minute. Now, that's what I call service! When you wanna just kill time and bs with the ones that you were with, it's the perfect place to stop at to get your caffeine and talk on. read more

I fought the traffic and parking in this outdoor "lifestyle center" mall just to get to this Starbucks, for two reasons: Reserve coffee, and a Clover brewing machine. Very few Starbucks carry the reserve coffees -- limited-time, small-batch blends. Even fewer have a Clover machine, which brews coffee by the cup in a manner similar to a home French press. I know of maybe three Clovers in all of Florida. If you like coffee, a Clover-brewed coffee is an absolute must. Now that I know this is here, it will be a regular stop either on my way to, or back from, South Florida. read more

I understand a place being busy. I placed a mobile order at 10:39 am that was to be ready at 10:49. I got there at 10:50 and was told my order was t ready. I could see that they were slammed and no big deal. I waited an additional 20 minutes to then be told they didn't have Caramel syrup to make my drink. I don't understand why I wasn't told that when I first asked about the drink. Or why the app wasn't updated to reflect that as other stores have in the past. read more

Alright the person at the counter was what made this place get two stars. He was kind of an idiot. I asked him "can I have a large cup of coffee and a vanilla flavor shot?" He turned around, grabbed the cup, and said "Wait. What do you want?" I told him again, "lager coffee, vanilla flavor shot." He went over to the flavorings and questioned again, "caramel?"... I wanted to smash his head off the counter. Then I told him to leave some room so I can put some milk in it. After he handed me my coffee, I went over to the sugar/milk station and took off my lid. It was filled to the top with hot coffee. Kid defiantly shouldnt been in the service business. The only thing that save this place from getting a one star was its location. You can sit outside all day and just people watch the people that walk by in the City Place. read more

Busy Starbucks in City Place. The barista actually spelled my name right. (I was starting to think they were doing it wrong on purpose to screw with me.) Got a hot green tea latte which is my go-to beverage. Sat outside with my laptop, no problems with the wi-fi. I didn't see anyone come out to wipe down the outside tables. Love this location except if you wanted to park in front you would not be able to. this is the Starbucks you go to hang out, enjoy your coffee, meet a friend and stay a while etc. They have some great indoor and outdoor seating. The space is intimate inside and al aire outside. It's in a courtyard breeze way so it's a fun place to people watch. And the coffee is what it normally is, yummy. read more

Waited over 15 min for food. When we finally got the food is was cold and the coffee order wasn't correct $50 later.... We had to get the milk and sugar to add to to coffee after waiting all that time and then the burista with green hair was shouting not to eat in the restaurant which we weren't. We were on the side mixing our coffee properly since they didn't do it the first time. The barista with the green hair is very rude!! Worst Starbucks. The lady in the front is SO RUDE, and doesn't listen. Of course the order was wrong. And that's after waiting a crazy amount of time for my drinks. I walk up to the pick up counter and there's basically a mob. Finally one of them goes, um when is our mobile order coming up? And the guy so kindly finally informs everyone that the mobile ordering is broken so he hasn't received any orders. Did you think they were all just chilling by this tight counter for fun??? I WANTED TO GIVE THIS STARBUCKS 1 STAR!.... In town for vacation/work and decided to come to this starbucks to do some work. The Barista, Shannon, who took my order was very pleasant. HOWEVER, the barista who made my drink was pretty rude. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS AT ALL!!! I noticed the lady before me walked away shaking her head in disgust with a smirk on her face. I wasn't sure what happened between them but the patron left upset. NOW IT WAS MY TURN. The barista had a VERY unpleasant disposition. At first, I contributed her unpleasant disposition to the previous patron. She made my drink, said my name (I think as she was not clear) and sat the drink on the counter; I was the only one standing there. I reached for my drink and said "Thank You" as friendly as i could. HER RESPONSE: NO EYE CONTACT, NO RESPONSE! Again, I contributed her unfriendly disposition to her interaction w/ the previous patron. Mind you, I'm not sure what happen between them. I went back to ask her if there were outlets outside, and her BRASH, RUDE response was "I don't believe so...I don't know". Again no eye contact, no help. This was an opportunity for her to find out from one of her peers, so she would know in the future. This starbucks has great ambiance and location. The barista's interaction got better over time w/ certain patrons so i was hesitant to write this review. However, in customer service one should be consistent with all patrons..WELL AT LEAST NOT SO RUDE nor BRASH. I was going to give this establishment 1 star, but my experience with the other baristas was nice. Hopefully, Starbucks management team will re-train certain baristas in the art of Customer Service. I didn't get the rude barista's name, but it was NOT Shannon nor Raven. I figure they can find out who it was by who worked that morning. I will also inform corporate and describe her. This is a pretty busy Starbucks. If you are planning on working quietly without distractions, this is NOT the right Starbucks for you! The Clematis location is better. Wow. You order a cup of coffee. It is a coffee shop after all. The blonde roast can't fill the cup so the girl goes to the next coffee in line. There's not enough coffee in that one either. Let's just keep going down the line until we can fill up a cup with coffee. I'm surprised that she didn't try to top it off with water. This is a great location with outdoor seating on the plaza. The staff were very attentive when I brought a disturbing problem to their attention a few years ago. Great for people watching, getting out of the heat and sun. If you visit citiplace to shop or dine, this is a good stop for something to drink or dessert. Christ Fellowship holds services right around the corner, at the Harriet Himmel Theatre, so if you are in town and want to attend church, this Starbucks is right next door. FYI when I attended the church, the church volunteers were offering free hot beverages outside the theatre, so you might want to save some room just in case they still do that. I genuinely love this Starbucks. There is plenty of patio and outdoor bench seating outside. Some days there are not any people sitting inside. As you walk in, you hear the signature Starbucks music blend and are welcomed by adequate air conditioning. There are plenty of seats too - nice cushioned seats and enough table space to work by yourself. The baristas are kind and welcoming of difficult orders; they also are very aware of registered cards, gold cards, and rewards. read more

CLOVER MACHINE AT THIS LOCATION! You'll be surprised at the purity of taste generated by this unique, and expensive ($11,500) coffee machine.
