Another above average location. I've visited this location at least 4 times and never an issue in any way. They could move a little faster but that's it. Parking is shared w plenty of other businesses. They are nestled on a small strip in Westfield Wheaton's shopping center. Staff members are always pleasant and looking forward to assisting. Lobby, beverage and condiment areas are always clean and clear of mess. I will continue to patronize this location when in the area.

I've been here a few times before COVID, but this was my first time since. If you haven't visited a Starbucks since, you have to ask for any additional things you want with your drink, such as milk, sugar, etc. The self-serve table only has napkins. There were a few people sitting outside, but I was the only one in the store, so my order was quick. My order was taken correctly and the help was friendly.

Another standard Starbucks location that's a bit smaller compared to other lone standing stores. I gave 4 stars because service is mediocre here. It was practically empty when I arrived and it still took nearly 15 minutes for my beverage to be made. As for the atmosphere, it's definitely a good option as a workspace. There's a large table in one corner with several outlets around the walls and a few smaller tables by the windows without outlets.

Tons of free parking and plenty of seatings. There are about 3-4 small tables, 1 large table (seat up to 8people) and a few single comfy leather seats. Takes both cash, credit card and Starbucks rewards. The staff here are extremely patient and kind. Even during busy times, they tend to make sure their customers are satisfied. The barista Josh was my barista for the past few times and he was great. Major kudos to Josh!! Keep up the good and hard work. This Starbucks location serves your typical Expresso, frap and tea drinks. They also have bottled drinks, pastries and a few dessert items if you have a sweet tooth. This is a great Starbucks location. Yes, it can get busy and crowded during the rush hour, but it gets the job done. Plus, parking here is free so that's good. In all, if you need a coffee / drink fix, this is the place to check out.

I stop in here just about every morning before starting the work day. This happens to be a really busy store but somehow the staff does an excellent job of keeping it running, especially when this particular employee Colin is on shift. What an overachiever he is! My doppio espresso is always well-made and they never seem to run short on my favorite breakfast sandwich. The service that I receive is always courteous. The restrooms are clean, the interior is roomy and there are a few tables to sit outside. I honestly have no complaints about this Starbucks, it meets all my morning coffee expectations.

    I love the mellow atmosphere!

I am so happy to have a Starbucks on campus! I love how open the space is. The environment is very mellow from the decor and the low lighting. This is part of what makes this location my favorite starting spot on campus. It does get a little noisy during the lunch hour rush, but throw in some headphones and you are set. There are plenty of seating options.... Large tables that seat 6-8 people. Comfy arm charms next to the window, perfect for a coffee date with a friend. Highchairs facing out along a large window with a deep table(my favorite studying seats). And even more options I'm not listing. The drinks are up to par with Starbucks standards. The only difference between the Starbucks in any other Starbucks is that they cannot redeem rewards from your Starbucks app. You can still use your app for purchase in for gaining points though. I give this Starbucks 5 stars for the lovely, clean environment and for providing me with the perfect studying spot!

The crepe was superb, and the coffee was just fine. There was an outdoor seating section, so I took a small table in there. No problems though I wish it was a little warmer. Bear in mind the establishment is based on ordering at the counter and picking up your order when you're paged. I don't mind that (saves on paying gratuity), but if you want wait service, this isn't the right place for you.

October 2019 visit: My girlfriend of that time & I visited for coffee & crepes. I remember it was kind of expensive for the crepes, which a fancy pastry. I'm clearly not a big crepe person. Crepes at Java was decent, but expensive for what you get. Coffee was decent but nothing to write home about either. Staff wasn't terribly friendly either. This was a place I wasn't going to rush back to. June 2020, Very bad day: As I stated in the opening paragraph, Covid was a tough time. I was living in a studio apartment in Wheaton, so I was happy when the office had reopened from being closed during the early part of Covid. I believe I was coming from the office in Columbia and had work travel to Herndon, VA. That same girlfriend, who had just become an ex, wanted to meet for lunch. I was cool with going to Chipotle in Kensington as it wasn't too far out of the way from 495. There was no dine-in at Chipotle or anywhere at this time. So, we took the food to go and were parked on the Java Nation side. Java Nation wasn't busy. They had tables set up outside, and we wanted to quickly eat. The Java Nation woman barked at me saying you can't eat that here. Geez...give me a break...Covid was a tough time. That already annoyed me. We were starting to eat in her car like animals. She got VERY upset & angry that I didn't mention a trip I was going on. I said that it was very small gathering of just 5 of us, they wanted to keep limited, and we are broken up as that's why I didn't include you! She spelled her Chipotle on me, which was more than half of the bowl she hadn't eaten. I yelled at her in the parking lot saying you wasted food, how dare you do that. I was shaking with anger and upset that this happened. An observer some guy in the parking lot going to Five Guys or wherever said just let her go. I was already angry and flustered with my ex but also was upset with Java Nation, I poured whatever leftover of hers that didn't get on me on the table since they were jerks and wouldn't let me eat there. The woman at Java Nation was angry and said she was calling cops. I apologized and offered to clean, but it wasn't good enough. I rushed peeled out of the parking lot as I didn't want to deal with cops and rushed to get into Virginia to do my work travel, which had already been delayed because of the ex's craziness. In summary, after this terrible experience, which to be fair was partially my fault as I was flustered by the ex, I don't feel comfortable going to Java Nation in Kensington, but I wouldn't rule going to the North Bethesda one or any other if it ever made sense for me to go, but haven't been back in the 5.5 years since then. I decided to give 2-stars and not 1-star because the 2019 experience was decent enough. Covid was a weird time, and if I went back to Kensington (which I won't), it'd probably be more like 2019 except with higher prices.

I ordered the lavender latte (SO good -- floral without tasting like soap ) and the breakfast burrito, which was hearty, fresh, and exactly what I wanted with coffee. One of my favorite touches: you order at the counter and if you're dining in, they hand you an adorable little street sign marker for your table while they bring your food out. Such a fun detail that adds to the whole experience. Also... the pastry case deserves its own fan club. Between the croissants, muffins, cookies, and gelato, self-control is truly tested here. Perfect spot for a casual brunch, coffee catch-up, or treating yourself to dessert after a long day. If I lived closer I'd definitely add this one to my regular rotation.

The first bite was a bit of a shock to the system. It's one of those rare "Ratatouille moments" where a flavor profile manages to bridge the gap between Maryland and the legendary sponge cakes of Phoenix Bakery in LA. It's a bit of a trick, really--making something taste like a childhood memory without being cloying about it. The Breakdown: * The Sponge: It's exceptionally light. Biting into it is less like eating a dense dessert and more like biting into a sweetened, high-end pillow. It's airy, delicate, and possesses the kind of structural integrity that only a professional (or a wizard) could manage. * The Icing: A triumph of restraint. Instead of the usual sugary plaster one finds elsewhere, this is a light, white cream. It's sweet enough to let you know it's there, but it doesn't try to dominate the conversation. It's icing with a bit of dignity. * The Verdict: This is how cake ought to be. It's exquisite, technically brilliant, and far too easy to eat in a single sitting. If you appreciate a dessert that relies on craft rather than a massive dose of corn syrup, do yourself a favor and stop by. It's a legit bit of baking excellence right here in Silver Spring

I saw the video and knew it was going to have phenomenal pour overs and espresso drinks. Since the cafe only opens on Saturdays from 8-1, I knew I had to make an effort to stop by despite the 30+ minute drive. Unfortunately, many other people had the same exact idea as me, and the staff was definitely overwhelmed by the popularity. There was a long wait for espresso drinks (at least 30 minutes). All bags of beans were sold out (I'd recommend ordering online and picking up or getting it delivered in the future). POUR OVER / DRIP - 5.35 By the time I ordered, they were out of most pour over options so I tried the Costa Rica Cumbres del Poas since I wanted a fruitier coffee. Fortunately, the wait for pour overs was pretty short, about 10 minutes. The flavors were fruity, but not overwhelmingly so, with a lighter mouthfeel. The pour over was a bit more diluted than I'm used to, but I still enjoyed it greatly. CORTADO - 4 After a 45 minute wait, I finally got my cortado. This has got to be one of the best cortados I've had in the DMV. The espresso was bright and fruity and paired well with the steamed whole milk. It was definitely worth the wait! If Nagadi was closer, I can see myself going 1-2x a month. I'd highly recommend this coffee roaster to any coffee snob looking for high quality coffee in the area.
