    Hot Pistachio Latte

Stopped by after picking up to go order from recently opened Wander next door. Always have Tatte and grabbed my usual pistachio latte. I frequent another Tatte location so nothing new. I think their lattes are pretty much consistent . My other favorite usually the black sesame latte. Friendly people as usual and grabbed a frequent card that I never knew existed. I guess I have to remember to bring in the future. I actually wish they would have a digital rewards to sign up instead. But hey it's just me worried of losing another frequent coffee card.. lol.

Tatte remains one of my favorite cafes. I've been to many locations, as they continue to expand in the DC area! I sat in the outdoor area since it was a pretty nice day. I ordered my usual, the cheese boureka, which is a pastry filled with cheese and topped with sesame seeds. It tastes best warmed up!

This cute and quaint cafe was really wonderful during my visit to Rockville. The roasted salmon, avocado, egg croissant was lovely. I tasted every flavor. The caramel latte was great. A good balance of espresso and sweet with neither over powering. You order at the counter, take a number and go to your table. And the food is delivered. Many people offering helpful assistance as needed

I'll start on a positive note, because who doesn't like that? Ambiance is 10/10, gorgeous, everything you want in a coffee shop. I love the high ceilings, layout, seating; it's giving French café with a twist. The desserts look phenomenal and their coffee/tea selection covers all the basics with a few extras (like pistachio, black sesame, and halva syrup), MEM tea blends, matcha, as well as a selection of coolers that sound absolutely divine using white peach/mint, strawberry/cardamom, and mango/ginger syrups. Who doesn't love a housemade syrup? I ordered the honey halva latte, raspberry meringue, pistachio cherry tart, and a plain butter tube (comes with 17 butter cookies). The butter cookies were perfect dipped in coffee, but almost everything else fell short. Looked divine, tasted so-so. The raspberry meringue might be one of the prettiest desserts I've seen but the filling left something to be desired. It had an odd aftertaste, while the pistachio tart barely had any kind of flavor. The coffee was, in a word, disappointing. The crumb cheesecake cup was tasty, but it felt like it was missing something. The woman who rang me up also wasn't friendly, which seemed a little odd considering that I'm a paying customer. Like she had an attitude for no reason. A simple "pick your coffee up over there" would suffice, considering that it was my first time and the barista was located on the other side of the establishment. Would I come back? If a friend wanted to go. Would I make it a point to? Probably not. My visit had good points but overall it just felt like something was missing.

Get the shakshuka! Incredible lamb sausage, thick, creamy, perfect acidity of the tomato. Such a large portion for two. Three well toasted buttery bread. A little kick with some peppers. Nice big two eggs in. Black sesame latte was so creamy and tasty. Real thick layer of black sesame seed!! Beautiful cafe with indoor and outdoor seating. Service was quick.

It was a beautiful day outside and I decided to give Tatte Bakery another try. Their bakery case was filled with delicious looking baked goods. There were cookies, cakes, pastries, and mousse desserts. It was a feast for the eyes. I ended up ordering my linzer tarte cookies. They were very good. Service was good. We were waited on right away. The place was packed with customers, so we took our sweets to go. Next time, I might be more daring and try something new.

Tatte is always just good enough to go 1-2x/year, IMO. Look, it's not overly good or overly bad. Some of the sweets are okay, some are not great. Today's selection was a vanilla key lime confection that was actually pretty tasty if not overly sweet. Definitely something to share. My black sesame latte was fine... but nothing special. I won't order it again. Probably the best thing about Tatte is the aesthetic. It's beautiful and clean design; this particular location had lots of natural light, and plenty of seating. It's pretty busy/loud inside, but if you have headphones it's a good spot for an extrovert to get some work done.

This place is so beautiful inside! I loved the space- perfect to work from or just to chat with a friend. The coffee I ordered (latte) was not special at all. First they brought me a warm cup of coffee at my table but I mentioned to the server that I ordered an iced latte so he went back and had it remade. It tasted like water to be honest. No flavor whatsoever. And the muffin I had was not moist at all. Mainly dry and crumbly. I wanted to try something else but after two failed items I decided not to. The rest of the it's look appealing but hopefully they're not dry too.

Service: To-Go. Came in on a Saturday around 11am and the place was packed! If you planned on sitting here, I would recommend getting there much earlier! I got in the long line that reached the door. It took about 20 mins to get to the register to place my order. I liked that there was a dedicated barista for to-go coffee orders. Food: Ham and Cheese Croissant - Loved! The saltiness from the ham and cheese pairs very well with all the other sweet confections they have to offer. Warming up the croissant made it slightly softer. Vanilla Sugar Donut - Classic. If you like a slightly sweet yeast doughnut, this is the one for you! I would not recommend eating this in the car because the sugar got EVEERYWHERE! Passionfruit Krembo - Slight Tang. The passionfruit curd helped cut the sweetness of the cream and chocolate shell. Coffee Caramel Mousse Cake - Dense. It was dense and heavy. I could taste the bitterness coming from a burnt caramel but not a strong coffee flavor. I would start with this, then go to the lighter items. Black Sesame Coffee (Hot) - Thick. Seasonal items are always an adventure. The sesame gave a touch of umami-ness to the coffee and made it thicker. On to my next adventure...

Similar to other Tatte shops, they offer their standard coffee and food menu plus season specials. I strongly recommend their brownies, croissants, matcha sparkling drinks, and a few of their bowls. I'd highlight their shashuka and pita items, which is what I usually order. Their staff and manager were very polite and welcoming.

Service 5 out of 5 Breakfast 5 out of 5 Pastries 3 out 5 What we ordered: Oatmeal It had lots of toppings and was creamy and thick. Portion size was great 5 stars BLAT Bread was soft, TONS of bacon. To say it has avocado is a bit of a stretch, it has a man avocado smear. Great flavor 4.5 stars Croissant egg sandwich 0 stars They do not allow you to order egg whites, no exceptions. Well I can't have the yolk. So we did not order Almond croissant Flaky outside and buttery inside. Perfection 5 stars Passion Fruit Krembo I wanted this to be soo good and passion fruit is my favorite. Outside shell has a hint of passion fruit. Bottom cookie is tasty. That's where it stops. The white stuff was so sweet and rich and since the outside shell was light on flavor it was just to sweet. There is a small, and I mean SMALL, amount of passion fruit curd on the bottom - but not nearly enough to off set the white stuff. The 2 bites I had that did have the curd was delicious. I had to scrape off the top and was left with just a cookie. 1 star soooo sad because I would have gone back several times if it were good.

Add this to the list of places that is totes adorbs! I've never heard of this place but found it on yelp and it was popping on a Sunday afternoon. There was no seats available, but we were just looking for a coffee anyways. They have all the traditional coffee menu items along with some seasonal ones like Uhini pumpkin spice latte and pistachio latte. I didn't feel like drinking hummus so I went with the latter and it was subtle, nutty and everything I was looking for.

First time at a Tatte cafe! Over the the last few years they've popped up throughout the DMV! I just happened to be nearby and stopped in. Ordered a vanilla latte and a cherry almond scone. The drink and scone were both good. Service was good. The wait wasn't long. Parking was tight. Price was a bit on the higher side. I liked the variety in the menu. Definitely a cute place for a breakfast date!

There's a good selection of pastries and I ended up choosing a coconut cream cheese option that was pretty good and flaky. You pick your pastries from the self-serve shelves. Some items looked like they had been sitting out for a while and were a little dry, while others had just been restocked and looked much fresher. Most of the selection leans toward buttery, laminated pastries, such as croissants, Danishes, and croffles rather than baguettes or rolls. They also have fresh cakes displayed near the counter. The two pastries we had were both good and satisfying. The pain aux raisins had a moist texture with a gentle sweetness. The croffle itself was nicely buttery and delicious, although the cream on top was a bit too heavy for my taste. Prices felt reasonable for the quality and location. Service was quick and friendly. Unfortunately, the coffee was only lukewarm, which was a letdown. Parking really depends on the time and day. We were lucky to find a spot right in front, but the plaza gets busy since there are several popular stores/restaurants, so it can be competitive if you're aiming to park close by. Overall, I'm happy to have another French-inspired Asian bakery option in Rockville.
