I walked down to Brewed Awakenings, got a coffee there and sat down at my computer to do some work. In a small restaurant I totally understand that you need to keep tables moving so there is not a wait, but there is a polite and subtle way to message to a patron that they need to move along so other folks can sit down. You can deliver the check early, ask if you are finished, ask if there is anything else you need. Ways to communicate to a patron that they need the table. This was certainly not it. I eat out often, I tip very well, but I have to say this is the first time I felt unwelcome and rushed at a place in a very, very long time. While the food was good, this was not the way to start off day 2 of my roadtrip. There were so many wine flights to choose from, and I decided on a white flight that included a rosé. Regina was our host, and she was very helpful in guiding me through the selections and helping me choose my wines. The tasting room is comfortable and inviting. We sat at the bar, but there are also tables and chairs if you prefer a more relaxed setting. If you're hungry, you can order food from the restaurant next door, and they'll bring it right over to you. A great way to experience Arizona wines while enjoying a fun stop along historic Route 66!
