I used to get a water before my workout until randomly they don't give out water anymore. Fortunately i can afford water, but it's odd that such a "successful" business would turn away people in need of water since unhoused population is so large in my area. I'm only leaving this review because I went to get my sisters some drinks and I ordered their drinks and went on my day like anyone else would and a few days later I'm at chick-fil-a about to order and I look at my back account and see that I was charged twice at Starbucks I got charged the $16 dollars that I played for and then I also got an overdraft charge of $28 dollars taken from my account which made me very upset I already make very little money and I see that I'm overcharged making me not upset but now angry so idk if it's the restaurants fault of the mobile app but I'm just letting yall know that they might overcharge you. read more

The staff here is so unprofessional it's ridiculous. There is a little girl shift supervisor that claims she is a manager and isn't and threatens to call the cops on customers she doesn't like. She claims that their store never gets glitches in their mobile ordering system when I have personally been told that is the reason nitro cold brew is not available on mobile order. This Starbucks almost never gets our orders right. I always have to correct them at the window. They also keep Nitro Cold brews off the online menu, even though it's available to order. I would not recommend this store to anyone, I will happily drive a bit further to the University store or the Stratford and Ricks store where the staff is a bit more mature and professional. read more

Today is April 21, 2020. Came through the drive through and they had a notification that their hours have changed ; they're opening at 8am now. It's really a bummer for those of us whom have to be at work at 8 AM. This was the highlight of my mornings to get my "Venti Filthy Chai Latte with Three Shots of Espresso and an Extra Pump Of Chai!! Inconsistent service. Sometimes you get baristas that know how to make the drinks, sometimes you pay $7 for a soy caramel cloud macchiato and get an iced coffee with milk and egg powder at the bottom. You choose if you want to take that chance. I explained to the barista the drink she gave me looked nothing like a cloud macchiato, and after making the same drink twice, she told me that "soy separates". This is my drink of choice, lady. I am maybe Starbuck's top customer in Winston-Salem, probably go 3x/day, and this Starbucks can never get my order right! The amount of times I have had to turn my car around after leaving the drive thru to ask them to remake my order to the correct one is super frustrating. This is one of the few drive-thru Starbucks in town. The staff is friendly and they do a good job with getting orders just right. My dog likes this location because they wave to her will give her a bone or a pup-achino which is whipped cream in a cup. read more

In a pinch I'll hit up a starbuck's coffee shop. It's not my favorite because I like my coffee a lot stronger than they make it, but I've been given a lot of gift cards lately. I use the gift cards to treat friends or business clients and if I'm Crashing there seems to always be a Starbucks around. Except most parts of West Virginia and Alabama. I speak from experience. The great thing about any Starbucks coffee shop I've been to is the employees. They always seem to have great senses of humor and are always patient and never mess up my coffee. The one or two times my coffee has ever been wrong they've fixed it right away and refunded me. This location is super busy in the morning and if I'm going for a meeting I'll schedule it for lunch or tea time. 4pm ish. read more

Have to give this 5 stars. I've been going here since it opened and have NEVER been disappointed. Never one mistake, either. I've gone inside a few times, but usually just go through the drive-thru. The drive through attendants are pretty much always cheery and/or social. Even if the wait is not that long at all, they still apologize for it, which is sweet. Got the s'mores frappe the other day, & this is the ONLY starbucks in town that made it look just like the picture, two layers of marshmallow whipped cream, graham crackers, and all. Had to leave this review because I didn't appreciate their excellent service until I went to the Peters Creek Pkwy Starbucks location the other day (absolutely terrible). Hands down, this is the worst Starbucks with the most inept staff I've ever had the displeasure of being served by. Ordering is like having a root-canal with no anesthesia, getting your coffee is like having the worst Christmas imaginable because you get ugly socks instead of a nice sweater, or you get actual Splenda packs unopened in your drink. The staff is clueless like untrained lab rats running around a maze with no walls. The manager is the physical embodiment of an empty basket. It's coffee, there's a computer to help and fancy machines and explicit instructions on how to make it...please someone stop this franchise from ruining more coffee. read more

Seems to be a high turnover of baristas at this location. 3 times last week I ordered a venti latte and was given a grande. No explanation other than we have new people. The drive through is inconsistent with service. Staff seems to be more concerned with wearing ridiculous costumes as opposed to providing good service to people in the morning. So my daughter and I went to Starbucks this morning....first off this is my second run in with the Starbucks on Reynolda in Winston Salem. The first time a few weeks ago I ordered a low carb pink drink and the girl called it a "white girl on a diet drink". My husband was super upset about this and reported it to corporate sent me a $10 gc okay whatever I really didn't think anything of it. Today I went thru the drive through. Ordered my daughter and I the same drinks. They looked different but I went on didn't think anything of it. I tasted mine it was awful my daughter had hers and was like it's different (ordered low carb) but good. I tasted hers because she was like mines good and I know good and well if she liked it it didn't taste like mine. I turn around and go back. Go to the drive through and tell the lady we just ordered and it was wrong. She says fine pull up we pull up and she's like it's just because it looks different isn't it? I explain that one of them is nothing but coffee and cream (the light one) but no syrups and the other darker one is correct. I just ask for the one that was wrong to be made right she seriously argued with me and is like do you know what you ordered? I was like yeah I do because this one is right and this one is wrong! Finally I was like just make it the normal way and call it a day. Starbucks I'm going to need you to get it together and hire less rude employees! read more

This is the worst Starbucks in Winston. I have been living in Winston for several months now and every single time my girlfriend and I come here they mess up my drink. Sometimes we even laugh about it because it is so predictable, every single time they find a way to mess up our order. This doesn't happen to me at other Starbucks and I don't have the time to ask them to remake it in the morning. I have tried going inside and through the drive through, it doesn't matter what I do they always mess it up. Pretty cool place. The service, food and drinks are excellent! Nice area as well. It is conveniently located near Wake Forest University and has other shopping areas in the vicinity. It is usually crowded during the morning rush and a little hard to get in the parking lot since there is a lot of on-coming traffic. read more

This Starbucks is good; there are others in the area who make better drinks, but I've never had a messed up drink here. I take off a star because if you're planning on going inside to study or chat, the staff is SO loud. They scream lyrics to songs and yell to each other. I can hear through my headphones. I am not going back here again if I'm dying for coffee. I will go to the McDonald's next door. Today I asked to use my reward points. He scanned my phone the reward is still on there. He did not give us a receipt for the rest of the stuff we purchased with a debit card. Now we have spent 9.50, he has scanned my reward points. We got nothing free. Our driver is unknowing of Starbuck prices. You have a bunch of stupid people who can't hear or don't want to hear and don't want to fill an order properly. And extra foam is extra foam. Busy place with a lot of regulars, both people working nearby and Stratford Road area residents. Yet the mood remains mellow and staff doesn't seem to mind if people park there with a computer for a while (lots of outlets). Music is never obtrusive. Patio outside for warm weather (also with lots of outlets). I respect this Starbucks. read more
