Veggie panini with added bacon, pasta salad
Madisyn F.

I've visited Stardust Cafe a couple times in the past and had great experiences. This time was no different!! I tried the veggie panini for lunch and added bacon for some extra crunch. Very tasty sandwich, featured artichokes, peppers, a great tomato, etc. Their pasta salad is great as a side as well - different from the usual fries at other restaurants! It's small inside but the vibe is very nice and welcoming. The folks behind the bar all greeted us as we walked in and our waitress was kind. All around a great visit and I look forward to exploring more of their menu in the future!

This is a hidden gem! After 10 hours on the road, this was a wonderful place that we stumbled upon. The ambience is an eclectic mix of a French artisan cafe. The food is farm to table with a fresh seafood selection. Oh, and did I mention the food was delicious and the service wonderfully attentive.

Oh my goodness you walk in and it is just so cute, warm and completely comfortable in here! Their tiramisu is the perfect combo of coffee and cream and the vanilla late is equally delicious. Perfect thing to warm you up from the cold weather outside. Finally our server was simply perfect. So sweet.

We visited on a recommendation from an employee at the Greenbriar Hotel. The place has charm to it. Small but charming. The staff were super nice and attentive. Prices are reasonable for the area. The quality of the food was excellent. We all finished our dishes with nothing remaining on the battlefield. We left no prisoners. I would visit again. The Welshmanwas excellent and favorite stand out. Nicely done.

This place is absolutely amazing . . . a gem that I wish I could go to every single day! It's located in a charming area of Lewisburg that contains lots of inviting shops & restaurants. The cafe is small but creatively & tastefully decorated. I ordered the pasta with cod & lobster. My intention was to eat only the seafood while leaving much of the pasta. It was so delicious, though, that I ate every bite. My husband ordered the seared tuna & loved it as well. Each of our orders came with a small salad served before our entrees. We also had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert. It was wonderful.

Welshman sando, pasta salad

Excellent! Had the Welshman sandwich and tomato soup. The tomato soup was the bomb!!! Creamy, velvety, with chunks of tomato. Side of pasta salad was ok. The pasta was a bit too al dente and the dressing really wasn't absorbed. The sandwich was really interesting with all its layers. So much food I took half of the sandwich to go. Only drawback is that I should have ordered the soup and sandwich to arrive at the same time so I could dip the sandwich in the soup !!!! Excellent service . Clean bathroom .

Limited options but they have some unique staples as well - including the Welshman sandwich with a fried egg & smashed potato along with meat, cheese, & Dijon mustard. Thats what I got & it was a very satisfying sandwich. It's disappointing they don't have French fries but the pasta salad was good. I love my lavender Italian soda, & the price was reasonable too. The service was fairly fast but our waitress was somewhat forgetful. Overall, it was a great lunch choice, & I'm glad we stopped by! The restaurant was clean & had a nice ambiance as well.

Baked goods on offer here often include cheesecake, a variety of cupcakes, some pies including some made from fruit from the local Morgan Orchard in Monroe County and even some homemade chocolate truffles. It pretty much dripped all over everything, and we ate inside in the air conditioning. Nevertheless, it was good ice cream. I also took a cupcake to go. They put it in a plastic container that sqarshed the top of the cupcake. That was a bummer. When I did eat my cupcake, it was just okay. I have eaten many a cupcake in my lifetime (and it shows!), and these just weren't up there at the top of my list. They were still good. Just nothing to write home about. The second experience was tonight. An adult was working, and she was very friendly. I suspect she was the owner, although I didn't ask. I chose a different kind of ice cream. It was also a bit on the soft side. Maybe it had just gotten put in the freezer or something. It was very good though. We will most likely still come back here as we will be in the area for a while longer. They have good ice cream, and that's always a plus!

I guess there is no changing your mind that day. And I guess it's loyal base has lives that this works for. Whom does this place cater to? Not your average person by any means. Certainly not people actually out working. Perhaps office or bank employees around town who know on Monday what they will want for lunch on Wednesday. Not knowing this. I googled them, saw no hours, nor any explanation. We were only two minutes away, so I just drove over. Never mind that it took 15 minutes to park in downtown Lewisburg. It looked closed so I walked to the door to look for hours. Nothing but a menu taped to the window. I saw two women inside. One looked right at me, so I smiled and waved. She quite literally looked at me like she was exhausted with me already, raised her eyebrows and shook her head no. Which I interpreted as we are closed. Fair enough. So I hop back in the truck and pull up their website. Funny, looks like most of the reaturaunt sites in Lewisburg, all made by the same company. The only explanation on their website states it's pick up and delivery style. Okay, great. Have to download their menu. Okay. Finally, it looks like we will be able to order. Not so fast. After downloading, and only after downloading the menu, does it state you must order 48 hours in advance....wow. That's something your website designer should probably put on the front page of your site. Or maybe you, as the business owner, should put this on Google. Or at least hours and 48-hour advance pick-up delivery ONLY somewhere on Google. Maybe a door sign for all the average people who think this is an actual restaurant, so they don't get snooty looks when they smile at you. Some of us aren't aware of the odd way your business works. I've lived all over, and I've managed four diamond restaurants. Huge scale casino restaurants, small boutique steakhouses, fifties style diners, etc, and never seen this type of model for a restaurant, small or large. Clearly, people are fans. They seem to do well enough. But as it is nothing they offer that looks so good, unique, or special that I would order 48 hours in advance. Like many of the resturaunts downtown, they give the vibe that you are lucky to get food from them. Instead of appreciating your current AND would be customers. In addition, any negative review that is put on Google is met with the owner doing a sales pitch about their local ingredients and how popular they are among their wealthy clientele. Because that's who their clientele actually is, wealthy locals and wealthy tousits. They don't address the actual issue the customer had in their review or state they will work to remedy it. She uses it as a chance to talk about how great her restaurant is. Obviously, if someone has written a negative review about your business, there is a valid reason you may need to address. Instead of, you know, using it as a chance to self promote.
