Stopped in with a group on a weekday for a lunch meeting. Place was roomy, I'm guessing they do a lot of weekend business. Hostess was on point, waitress was nice, and did a great job. I did breakfast for lunch, which was good. Everyone else ordered lunch items, and all gave good feedback. I would return, place seems solid.

The family had the meatloaf, chicken parmesan, clam basket, chicken quesadilla, and flounder. The meatloaf looked unappealing and dry, chicken parmesan tasted decent, clams were tasty but did not have enough, the chicken quesadilla was flavorful and served with a generous amount of condiments, and the flounder was tasty. The salad bar was fresh and plentiful. The dinner rolls were fresh. The homemade desserts were delicious. All-in-all the food prices were quite affordable. The server Christy was friendly and attentive. She appears to enjoy her job and cares about her customer's needs. The atmosphere was comfortable, spacious, and relatively quiet. There is plenty of seating. I would give the diner a five star rating if not for the unappealing meatloaf and small portion of clams.

The specials alone have sold me on this restaurant. The menu is full of all-around options that will have you deliberating on what to get. Let's start with parking. Stargate offers plenty of private parking with abundant handicap parking directly up front. Once inside, you are greeted with a warm and very friendly staff. They offer table or booth seating and plenty of it. Before going to your seat, take a look at the well put together salad bar. I was not ready for the menu, not even close to what I had expected. There are so many delicious meals that I feel that no matter what your craving is, Stargate will deliver. There was a "Wednesday specials" sheet slipped between the pages of the menu that states "with purchase of Special, Pudding or Ice cream is included. I didn't get to the ice cream flavors once I heard "Bread Pudding, Rice Pudding, chocolate pudding, and Tapioca Pudding. I chose the Pulled Turkey plate, which opened my eyes like a child in front of a birthday cake. Oh...my...goodness!!! With this order you can choose 1 side with soup or salad. I chose the stewed tomatoes and the salad bar. Stewed tomatoes can often be really sweet, but not here. There's a hint of sweetness, but it's seasoned like a marinara flavor and just down-right a noise maker; I hope you try it! The dessert chosen was the Rice Pudding with the optional whip cream. Not heavy, not mushy, probably some of the best rice Pudding I've had. Now, let's talk turkey. You are NOT ready nor expecting what's going to be on that plate if you're a first-timer. Make sure you're hungry or ready for leftovers. The plate has a mound of stuffing, covered in juicy pulled/shredded turkey, covered with gravy, and a small cup of cranberry sauce. Belly Buster!!! Oh, I forgot I asked for hot tea which they had. Lipton tea but you get a cup of hot water that you get to put your own tea bag in. In addition to this you get another saucer that has a small teapot full of hot water, ANOTHER tea bag, 2 slices of lemon, annnnnd 2 small covered cups of honey!! This place is just awsome. The staff was on top of it here. Courteous, delightful, engaging, and just present. You never had one of those "Where's the waiter/waitress or staff". I implore you to look up "Stargate Diner, Seaford MD", and look at the menu. You'll see the daily specials area which lists one dish, but there are more in person. Stargate Diner and all its employees get my "2 forks up" rating.

Just a quick review. We have been here several times. The salad bar has a very good selection. The service is always on point and friendly. I had the turkey and gravy. The turkey was nice and tender like fresh out of the Thanksgiving oven. We rarely have to wait more than a couple minutes. Of course we will be going back to make another selection from the big menu.

I was visiting out of town and looking for a late night meal Stargate diner, set the bill with breakfast all day on the menu. They serve a generous plate, and the staff was very friendly. I had a veggie omelette with hashbrowns and toast with iced tea. It's a kind of place that makes you feel at home. they also have a salad bar, sandwiches, and lots of dinner options. I will definitely return again when I'm in the area. it was also close to my hotel, Hampton Inn.

VOTED BEST DINER, BREAKFAST, BUFFET & BRUNCH IN SUSSEX COUNTY DELAWARE! Located in the old Golden Corral building. This family-owned restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a salad bar available for those who would like a little bit of rabbit food with their steak dinner. They have owned and operated for over 20 years and two generations. The wait staff is friendly and attentive and Felisha has been there since it opened. She jokes and says she came with the building as part of a package deal. Just ask her when you see her! The breakfast buffet is available but remember to leave your dirty plate on the table and grab a new one when getting more food from the buffet table nobody wants your germs floating around the fresh food. Stargate is committed to the community they are members of the Seaford and Laurel Chamber of Commerce, and they take satisfaction in being a socially involved business. The diner has supported numerous organizations in the community, like the Fire Department, Little League, as well as providing food donations. I always enjoy a good breakfast the biscuits and gravy are good. I have never had a bad breakfast at the Stargate. I also love the steak and eggs with the home fries they are delicious! So if you driving down route 13 and get hungry look for the Stargate sign and stop on in and grab a bite to eat! Or if you're r local or staying in one of the hotels check out their online ordering or Doordash for delivery options don't let your tummy grumble!

Was driving through Seaford and wanted breakfast. Very clean diner and socially distant tables. Our waitress was really super friendly. I got the 2 eggs with meat. I got scrapple but missed taking a picture but was crispy, a corner piece, and not greasy. Coffee refilled quickly and was really hot and fresh. They have some flavored cream too if you like the French Vanilla or Hazelnut. Eggs cooked fried with cheese (I asked for it) you can choose toast or pancakes. My pancakes were a little well but still good. Large menu and reasonably priced, this is going on my list and I will be back.

Came into Seaford around 8pm looking for a place to eat with my family. The diner was very welcoming from the outside. Inside very clean, nice decor, very friendly service. The food was very good. I had the country fried chicken and my wife had the teriyaki chicken pasta dinner special, both came with salad bar. My kids had pancakes, some of the best I have had. I went here the month they opened, and I had very big hopes for a great diner. WRONG. This is typical lower Delaware crap. I ordered their chicken croquettes special which was one of TWO dinner specials that night, mind you this is six at night, and they tell me they are out. I opted for pork chops my fiance had something beef and crab soup. I worked at two restaurants, and at one I was a prep cook. First off, his "crab" soup had ZERO crab meat, and had flour chunks. As soon as they brought our meals I knew they were from frozen and prepackaged dishes. Their rolls are from frozen as well. And being that I have done the food order before I know they are making a killing with their prices. The food was bland and luke warm, our server was ignorant and not friendly. If you like food with no flavor and a no integrity menu go here. read more

We live around the corner from this diner and frequent it often. The salad bar is always fresh and stocked. The meals are good and reasonably priced. We love the pulled turkey dinner and the breakfast buffet. If you leave hungry, then you certainly had a rare experience. This is diner food at its best! read more

Eh it's diner food. The portions are large and you get more than enough for the money. Unfortunately, the wait staff is poor. They take forever for refills on drinks. They are not very polite. We've been there numerous 5imes and the wait staff is always below standards. If they updated their staff and atmosphere, it would be a better environment. read more

My husband had liver onions mashed potatoes and gravy the best he's had in a long time. I had salad bar and lasagna very very good. Free dessert rice pudding and tapioca very good. Our waitress so very nice and had everything ready just when we wanted. read more

Saw this site on Yelp this morning and decided to give it a try! Was pleasantly surprised! Staff was friendly and always trying to fill your coffee cup! Breakfast menu had items that reminded me of my childhood, creamed chip beef on toast and scrapple. I do not get to Delaware as much now but rest assured that I will stop again on a return visit. read more

Favorite place to eat in Seaford! They have great service, great food, big portions and excellent prices. I'm from Philadelphia where they have a lot of great diners and this place is just as good if not better. I have never had a bad meal there. I usually get a "mini"meal for 9.99 (choice of soup or salad bar, main course and dessert). It's huge and I normally have to box it up and take the dessert to go. Try it you won't be disappointed! read more

the food was good our waitress said she don't like kids changed it to she don't want any of her own. i took my 1 yr old and 2 yr old for lunch we've been here before and he wanted soup and cake. they didn't give us 2 high chairs after I asked they offered a booster seat that don't work he won't sit still they let their customers harass us one even said I should put my hand over my 1 yr olds mouth because he yelled bc I had to keep redirecting the 2 yr old I would be mad 2 if I wanted to eat and my mom was dealing with another kid because he was not given a high chair! they then asked us to leave and if we didn't they would call the cops on my 1 yr old for disturbing to e peace is that even a thing???this nice family came and sat with me and the kids calmed down and people were still being very rude to us! however I am thankful for them bc my son really wanted that cake so unfortunately we can never go back and I think the people just wanted an excuse to not pay their bill! however im sad they let people do this and treat babies the way they did they need to take family restaurant out their name. never go if u have a family!!! read more

Ate breakfast here with a group on Thanksgiving morning. The staff opened up another seating area to give us room, as there was nowhere else to sit without a wait. The friendly service continued throughout the meal, and the food was hot and tasty. The portions were large - there's no reason to go away hungry. The wait might have been a little longer than normal due to a pretty good sized crowd, but overall, no complaints at all. We enjoyed our visit, and would not hesitate to return. read more

I have been to the Stargate several times there dinners are a bit terrible. But there breakfast buffet is amazing for an amazing price. There chocolate milk is a not strong at all and the taste is fare. If you want dinner I would suggest you go elsewhere, but if it's Saturday morning you might want to stop in. read more

This is hands down the best diner around! The food is great down home cooked food ! The prices are amazing and you get a lot of food,you get your money worth and more! The staff s great always smiling and very attentive. This diner is good for all things they have great breakfast, lunch, and dinner and if that's not enough for you they also cater and have a great room for parties or family gatherings. So if you are traveling or on vacation or just in the area you definitely wanna give this place a try it is a 5 star rating and more. I'm no food critic... but, pasta so overcooked no chewing required. Shrimp so overcooked it could've bounced higher than a rubber ball. Scallops were pure mush. The food came out so fast after ordering that it's rather apparent that all of their food is cooked well in advance, stored, dished out on order and most likely microwaved. It was lukewarm. Do not go here. They have restaurant dishes on their enormous menu for restaurant prices. Food isn't even good enough for pig slop. read more

As far as diners go it's pretty good. The staff is friendly and quick to fill up your drink. The food comes out relatively quick too. I've personally never seen it that messy and the bathrooms are always clean. The prices are on par for diners too. What I'm trying to say is that it's a diner. It's a good place to sit had have a quick burger with friends. read more

I don't normally take the time to do this, but thought my visit was worthy. My wife & I had a bad "Diner" experience a few years back and we stopped going to them. I heard good things about Stargate, Seaford so, decided to give it a try instead of fast food. I am very, very glad I did. Service was great, place was spotless, food was great and very reasonably priced. I would highly recommend Stargate, Seaford if your looking for a new favorite place to dine. read more

Fortunately, it is good both in flavor and a good amount of toppings. Service was good and there is not a sitting area so you have to take it with you instead of eating there. The place was clean and neat. They do have a good size menu. We will be back to try other items on the menu. I recommend giving them a try. Oh and parking was easy to get a space.

There are a lot of good choices on the menu, but I came for the cheesesteak! I decided to eat in as I wanted to check out the video arcade area. Once I ordered I got a number and my beverage, and headed to the dining area. There are at least 8 video arcade games available to play, as well as several little soccer like games. The room is lined with displays of all kinds of late 70's - 80's toys and collectibles. If you know a TMNT fan, they'd probably go crazy looking at all the variations on display! The food came out fairly quickly. The sub was packed with delicious steak and cheese! Bun was nice too! One of the better cheesesteaks I've had. I'd highly recommend coming here and give it a try.

My husband and I were regulars every Sunday for over 3 years. Due to an disagreement between my boss and the owner of the Stargate Diners Duray Salmon. This man came over to me and threatened to send four men to my work, take out my boss and tear my office to pieces. I never knew this man was this unstable, at least I know this now. God only knows what he could be adding to my food had I continued to eat there. Thank god we found out how Crazy this man is. Keep away from this place !!!!! read more

Stay away go somewhere else to get decent food. Take it from a former waitress who worked there. If the owner ( & cook ) paid as much attention to his food as he does getting the waitresses into the kitchen for oral sex he might have a good business.
