My laptop fans were completely f-ed up with dust and stuff so I was trying to request a quote from all the local places, Rodrigo quoted me for less than 100$ unlike more than half of the other places in the area trying to ask for like 200-250$ base price for only a CLEANING by the way (legit had me actually considering if I had to do it myself at the risk of causing damage to my expensive components). Not only that, but I could immediately tell that Rodrigo is super passionate about this work as well. He answered all of my questions + even gave suggestions and recommendations for computer related stuff when requested. While my laptop was getting cleaned, he let me know about all the good food places within walking distance, so I didn't have to drive away or awkwardly sit around. Rodrigo also helped to take before and after pictures, since my friends were all curious to see the difference since my fans were really just that messed up at the time. By the time it was ready to be picked up, he had given my old keyboard and screen a very nice courtesy wipe-down and also helped to make sure everything was working well. My cat gave my laptop a long sniff-test after I got back home without making a disgusted face or running away, so I guess I can say this place is even cat-approved. I watched a few videos, removed the side panels, cleaned the fans, used compressed air, and thankfully that solved the problem for quite a while. After doing more research, I learned about a common PS5 issue involving the liquid metal inside the system Because my console had been stored vertically since day one using Sony's official vertical stand, years of use had apparently caused the liquid metal to shift enough to create overheating problems. I started calling around for repair options and was being quoted turnaround times of 7-10 days. Then I remembered seeing videos from InstaFix on TikTok where they specifically discussed this exact PS5 issue and showed how they repair it. I called their Lake Forest location and spoke with YZ. Right away he was friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to answer my questions. Since the Fourth of July holiday was coming up, I asked about turnaround time and was honestly shocked when he told me most PS5 repairs like mine could be completed in about an hour to an hour and a half.
