My experience so far with starling I bought my first ever big purchase/ my dream purchase of a car being a 2018 Subaru wrx premium with 64 thousand miles on it. Straight off the lot the premium sound system doesn't work, it's after hours so I'll have to come back in the next day or two , i drive it for a week and half or so maybe longer cause the sounds not super important to me right then, I call them they say they will cover it but on my way to bringing it in my AC is going out in the car.( awful to hear I just got done driving a truck with no AC for 3 years ) My first experience with a service tech is met with blatant disrespect in the form of being passive aggressive and then eventually everything goes through and they hold the car and say they will run the tests to see what's going on, it's there for the day and when I come to get it they say they didn't put the sound system on the work order so I'll have to bring it back but they recharged my ac and put dye in the system to find the problem so Ide need to come back later but they also tell me they are certain it's the evaporator. a couple days later check engine light comes on I bring it to orielys an they tell me it's the oxygen sensor , I call them voicing my opinion on how I'm upset with so many problems arising when I had just bought this car FOR reliability which was stressed to me along with features that don't even work they tell me to bring it back so I do, at this point feeling awful about my decision and feeling like ive been taken advantage of. Molly the used auto manager and two other higher managers maybe having a heart or just being tired of me coming back so much decide that for all my problems on they car they will cover it out of pocket, with warranty they cover 75% usually and you cover the rest I'm very happy as one would be to know they are going to take care of me for the car they JUST sold me. I leave the car and offer to give them orileys code sheet for the sensor which they say they don't need, before I leave I go over this list of things being start to finish 1.Oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 2 2. Windshield wiper fluid leak 3. Possible coolant leak 4. Premium sound system not working 5. Evaporator replacement needed ITS IN THEIR SHOP FOR 6 DAYS before I receive my first real update stating they have the parts on order and it could be possibly done Friday when the parts get in but i should expect for Monday. on a call just before they also told me that my sound system wires are cut and they had no knowledge of that being the case before it left the lot, basically saying your SOL we didn't do it. Finally I pick up my car Monday evaporator done and ac working, 10 DAYS AFTER I HAD DROPPED IT OFF, drive it for one night and a check engine light comes on again. so back to orielys I go cause at this point I don't feel like starling is doing me justice in the service since I've been back so many times and want a second opinion, low and behold the same code comes back showing for the oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 2 They had my car for 10 days and didn't do the oxygen sensor which is about at most in a tough life for a sensor a 5 hour job. I bring it back now just furious with it all and I spoke to a higher service manager under the impression this would be taken care of for me same as it should have been when it was in the shop for 10 days he tells me " I don't see the oxygen sensor on the work order but I'll get it figured out for you" it stays for two days in their shop again before they tell me " the sensor is not covered under our warranty, labor and parts will cost you 900$" and they wouldn't give me a work order in writing or print for that when I asked . the part at most is 150$ anywhere online and even if it's a 5 hour job your telling me your labor charge is 150+ an hour ?!?! On top of that I just bought this car from you and it's been in your shop more time then I've been behind the wheel !! I do feel like some people here really did their best to help me like Molly who when my car was in shop for so long so nicely let me hold onto a loaner for longer then I should have, but in the end the negatives here heavily outweigh the positives when it comes to buying a used car from starling Buick GMC Stuart. Service manager refused to provide a written report of the results of the Multi-point vehicle inspection that was listed on my service department invoice from March 7, 2023. How do I know when the brakes need replacement?? Starling also refused to give a copy of the inspection to Buick Corporate Headquarters. Obviously they did not inspect my car and most likely did not do the oil change either. Now I know why the Service Manager had no response when I promised to contact the Buick corporate offices. Customer Beware - Buick corporate office states that because Starling is an INDEPENDENT dealer they have no authority and can take no action against them. They stated I have the option to seek legal advice. I promised that I would let everybody I know to AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP. read more

Took my car in for $800 In maintenance. They kept it all day. I made a two week advance appointment so to make sure they would have a Loaner. Nope, no loner but they did take me home and picked me up ( in a loaner) the maintenance seems as it should. I love the extra bonus of mechanic grease and finger prints all over my car and the grease on the leather I mean how much more could they disrespect me and my car. i understand the vehicle shortage and order allotment allocations that has plagued every dealership on specialty vehicles , unfortunately when you're dealing with a sales department that has no ethics and graduated from Pinocchio Academy you will be without a vehicle and 7 months of wasted time and promises that could never happen short of a buyer backing out and you being called as a secondary back up for the vehicle purchase, all along, thinking your vehicle was ordered. I ended up going to Garber Buick the day after I learned I wouldn't not be getting my vehicle with yet another promise of a possible order on 2025. I ended up purchasing the same vehicle we wanted in transit. Garber Buick had it on property the next day no lies no hassle and cheaper than originally discussed with Starling. I cannot say enough great things about my experience at Starling. Unfortunately, I was in a car accident that resulted in my vehicle being totaled. I wasn't quite prepared to have to start car shopping, but I was back at it within a year of purchasing my last vehicle. I had done some research and found a used Lexus that I wanted to take a look at. I pulled up to the dealership after 5 PM and was greeted by Joel Ramirez. He was so friendly and efficient and created a profile and had me test driving the vehicle within 15 minutes of arriving at the lot. After a quick test drive, I decided that was the vehicle for me. He had his manager working up some numbers for me within a few minutes. I told him what I was looking to spend and what I felt was fair for the vehicle and he was able to get me the price I wanted! Everybody was so friendly and reasonable. I was driving my new vehicle off the lot within three hours of arriving and didn't feel like I was put through the ringer! 10/1/21 UPDATE: service rep Henry returned my phone call Friday afternoon. He informed me that there would be no charge for AC repair this time. He also said they would not finish the door pillar repairs because the general manager was "extremely pissed off" at me. I haven't ever spoken to the GM because he never answered or returned my calls. He said they now refuse to work on my 2015 Yukon Denali ever again and I'm not welcome back. I was instructed to pick up the keys at the cashier and don't ever bring the vehicle back. This is a great example of a poor business decision made out of emotion. Apparently asking for help from GMC corporate will get you banned from Carl's BUICK-GMC. The service manager did return my call Friday afternoon and explained he had been out sick all week and was there anything he could help with. I explained to him the situation and that I was told not come back. He was nice and respectful to speak with, he even apologized for the situation however our business relationship had already been concluded. 9/30/21 I don't recommend their service department. I've had an issue after every repair on my Yukon. They've repaired my air conditioning three times in seven months. The third time they tried to charged me over $600 to replace the service ports that they worked on just weeks prior. Two unreturned calls to service, two more unreturned calls to the service manager and one unreturned call to the general manager. I had to call GMC corporate just to get an appointment to fix what they broke. Unacceptable customer service and billing practices. read more

I had a terrible experience. In December my husband and I went into the dealership to look at a use vehicle we saw on their website. When we went in we couldn't make a deal with Dave the sales manage. So we left. After New Years was over Javier our salesman text me and ask if I was still interested in the Cadillac I said yes but not for what they were asking. After a few texts back and forth we were told we had a deal. The next day the finance manger called i explained we were going to purchase an extended warranty and also a gap policy. He said he would call me back with a total so I could get a check from our credit union. He said no problem I'll get to you as soon as possible. I didn't hear from anyone for the rest of the day that was Tuesday. So I was I the area and went into the dealership on Wednesday of the same week one day later. When I walked in I was greeted by a salesman who told me Javier was off, but I recognized the sales manager we had been working with. I believe again his name is Dave, as I walked up to him there was another salesman standing by the podium said I sold that vehicle with a big smile on his face. All Dave said was sorry I was off yesterday. I have NEVER had a dealership do that before. The most dishonnest dealer ship ever encountered. Should be investigated for fraud. I have a yukon 2020 XL; in sept 2023, I brought the car to the dealer ship for oil change, one week later I spotted on my new garage floor a drop of oil, I did nothing immediatly; A few months later, I had a wider stain on the floor, 1 inch in diameter so I went under the car and spoted that they had not changed the bottom oil pan nut. I brought the car to the dealer ship and asked hem to check out the oil pan and gave them an insurance card. They kept the car six days and stated that the bottom and top oil pan seal needed to be replaced, they gave me a written estimate of over $3000; I just fell off my chair send my spouse pick up the car and had a mechanic next door replace the nut. That was last month and not a single leak since. My rage was intense as I had filmed the problem and I knew we were in front of a temptative fraud by the dealership, plus I had paid over $200 for an estimate that provided a skewed diagnostic. I went to the dealer and asked to speak to the manager. I had a sleek individual in front of me that denied that they did anything wrong even telling me that the oil pan was probably leaking but I could not see it. I told him that newton law was still right and when it leaks it fell on the ground. The individual was trained obviously to deal with unhappy customers. He never excused the dealership, but was ready to argue with me by bringing back the car on the lift. I did not even bother knowing that a leak is first spotted on the floor after a few hours. I would never leave my car in this dealer ship, the trust is gone. For those reading those line. They try to do it to me, they will try next on you. Avoid at any cost! read more

Service Department Was Very Nice and Totally Incompetent My husband brought his GMC Denali in for an oil change..then we needed a new tire..then it was pulling to the left..then they overfilled Transmission Fluid and it leaked all over my garage.. they said we would have it back in a day and due to their stupidity it had to be towed to the dealership and it cost us over $1,000. They had it for six days...NEVER EVER use this dealership for any work on your car...I will drive as far as I have to to get our car repaired..but never again Sterling..I would rate negative ten if I was allowed. I purchased a new 2017 YUKON DENALI I have appx 3500 miles on the vehicle and have brought it back 3 times for a transmission issue. My service advisor(mike) is less than friendly. He seems annoyed that I keep coming back with the same issue. My last visit he told me that the could not get the SUV to slip as it had in the past for them, but they did adjust it. However when I got in my vehicle to drive home about 6 miles, it slipped 4 times. I still don't have a good vehicle. I will be calling again to get another appointment. Update::: we are up to 5000 miles and still issues. We are now working with David the service manager, he and the "transmission guy" we were able to prove to GM that there was an issue and get the parts we needed from GM to make the transmission work properly. Bought a car here last year from Carlos and was shown a clean Carfax report. After a year of problems with the car I decided to trade it in at a different dealership. The new dealership pulled a Carfax report that showed numerous problems including significant damage at one point. I contacted Paul, the assistant owner, with my concern and instead of responding with basic human decency, he was disrespectful and sarcastic. It was a deeply humiliating experience for me. I'm so ashamed that my hard earned money went to Paul and a business that would hire such a cruel spirited man. I bought a lemon and was humiliated for it. My 2017 Acadia has a Shift to Park issue which is very common on the 17's & 18's. Still under full warranty. Doors won't lock and electrical features do not turn off. Went into the dealership, service department Dec.20/19. Spoke to the service adviser and was advised to bring my suv in on 23rd. On the 23rd, no parts available after 4 hours, Today is Jan, 2nd 2020, no parts, no calls, even after several visits to the dealership, and problem still exists. If you walk into the dealership the sales people are falling all over you. Trying to get good service is another thing. Not sure about the high reviews but my experience has been terrible and would not recommend Carl,s to anyone. read more

I bought my first car from Marlin Smith at Carls. Marlin was particularly helpful as the truck we wanted was sold and returned so he called us right away when the previous owner bailed out of the loan.. I was not fond of not being able to help decide which loan we got nor not knowing what the apr rate was until we were in the back financing office but maybe that's how it's typically done? I don't know. Regardless, we got the truck 2k lower than retail price plus a pretty good loan rate, extended bumper to bumper warranty and all the fixings. From the moment I pulled up to the valet style service department, to the escort to the waiting area and then shortly after getting back into my vehicle I had one of the better experiences anyone could have at a car dealership. My neighbors tried to purchase a new truck to take their children camping and went in, was shown a truck with the specs they absolutely needed and was told that's the truck they would be getting. Buyer beware! Review your billing closely. You will be billed for services that you did not authorize and do not need. I brought my vehicle in for an oil change and tire rotation on September 30, after reviewing my bill found that I was also charged for replacement of my cabin air filter which I did not authorize and had changed four days prior to bringing into the dealership. After several attempts to reach the service manager I finally received a phone call back from Aaron. He apologized and assured me that someone would be calling me back right away to issue a credit. Unfortunately, that never happened, three days later I called back again asking for the service manager and had to leave a voice message which was not returned. I've been dealing with Carls Buick years, when they lost the name, they also lost their integrity. Last week was the second time we had oil changed on our Envision and this time we were more disappointed than we were the first time. Service Manager Molly asked us to give them a second change, after the first oil change, to make it right. When we got there, we saw Molly, as she requested, which she in turn handed us to Jude Forte, Service Advisor. Ms. Forte went on and on about how she makes sure service is going to be with her. This all sounded very good. Since we were also having the air conditioning check and could not be completed in a day, she offered us a rental vehicle on Sterling. Qualifying this offer with a statement about we don't want to give you one unless you need it. The care should be complete by Thursday (it was Tuesday morning.) Advised that a vehicle would be needed for Friday since we had a couple of appointments. During the next two days hurricane Ian made land fall on the west coast of Florida- we are on the Treasure Coast/the east side of Florida. Thursday, we did not hear from Ms. Forte so we call and only got her voice mail which we left a couple of messages. With no answer we took a ride to Starling Buick to find out what is going on because the rental was needed for tomorrow. The service department was not there, however our salesman was and he was able to provide us with a loaner. This is not the end of the poor service we received from the service department at Sterling Buick. Friday afternoon we had not heard from Jude Forte, our Service Advisor, called and left a message. No return call and it is now afternoon. We called Molly, the Service Manager, who did not remember us. After checking things out she told us our vehicle was ready for pick-up now. When we got to the dealership to pick up our Envision, we were told it was not ready. We had been there almost a 1/2 hour when we were told it would be another 45 minutes for our vehicle to be cleaned and ready for us to have back. After going through all this: All I have to say is Molly the Service Manager, Jude Forte the Service Advisor at Starling Buick GMC in Stuart are not people we want to deal with. read more
