First time here and honestly I will gladly making the hour and a half round trip drive. I took my son to another barber last month (different location) and they WRECKED his hair so bad. I made an appointment with Rod aka MIRACLE MAKER and I truly believe he's a blessing. My son is 4 and still wiggles a lot in the chair but Rod had the most patience for him and still a managed to make him look amazing. Couldn't even tell that his hair was butchered before. There's 3 chairs and Rod uses the center one. The barber shop is cozy and there's sufficient seating. Super clean bathroom (and it smells SO nice in there!) They offer water which comes in clutch with this heat. They sell plenty of Suavecito for a decent price. They have a tv in front of the chairs so there's plenty of entertainment. They're very kind and courteous and they make excellent conversation. These men and their place definitely make you feel at home. I'm really glad this place was recommended to me. First off, I want to commend the owner Alex for working his ass off to get his own shop off the ground. I've been getting my haircut/shave from him for 3+ years now & wouldn't even dream of going to someone else. Down to earth fellow Long Beach guy who anyone could easily make friends with. Alex is highly detailed in making sure you look your best before leaving his shop. Doesn't waste any time either, you'll be in n out without feeling as if you're haircut was rushed. Smooth as hell with a straight razor which is the only razor touching this face. Also gives great facial tips with a hot/cold towel after a clean shave which really does work. My schedule tends to suck due to my line of work but Alex always works with my time frames. I go by appointments & I always find myself in the chair at the set time I've given. The shop itself is filled with reliable barbers. Prices are set at a good rate as well, $20 gets me the full service. Shop is brand new & is neat as a glass of whisky. Easy to find in this great city with tons of parking. Artwork all done by the owner himself as well. They take forever. Add a walk in I have had to sit and wait 3 hours for my son to get a hair cut. With an appointment he came in 30 min early and I still had to wait almost 2 hours for him to finish.
