    3 oz lobster roll

I havent had a really good lobster roll in a while but this place delivered. Flavorful lobster, right amount of dressing (did cold mayo) and perfectly prepared brioche bun. 3 and 6 Oz options available. They serve other lobster related items and offer wine beer and cider. Ill be back!

Our family enjoyed lobster rolls and fried haddock during a July 2026 visit to Maine. It's right over the NH border in Kittery and is worth the short drive just past the outlets. We were traveling with our miniature poodle and appreciated the picnic tables in the open, grassy area on the back side of the cozy restaurant. Service was outstanding - I picked up a restaurant buzzer after placing our family's order and paying at the front register. If you're visiting Maine, this is a great place to experience lobster rolls or fried haddock in Kittery! Afterwards, it's a short drive to York, ME where you visit the Nubble Lighthouse.

This was the best lobster roll on my trip to Maine. It was close to my hotel and delicious. The service was quick and the brought the food to my seat on their patio. They add old bay to their fries and lobster rolls. It was buttery and wonderful. It was a nice day so I sat outside this was a great place and wonderful first lobster roll of the trip.

Fish tacos, combo platter which came with fried clams, lobster rolls, chowder (not shown), and I upgraded to truffle fries instead of chips.

Casual seafood joint serving up fresh Maine lobster rolls. Their menu offers some combo meals which is great for someone who may want to try multiple items. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and the staff are super nice. You order at the counter and then they will bring the food out to you. There is complimentary water, and even a small bar for a couple cocktails. Their fried seafood is lightly battered and comes out fresh and tender. There is no old oil smell or look which is great. Be aware on the weekends they tend to close early due to selling out. It's a top rated spot for good reason. Would definitely come again. One draw back was my friend's fish tacos didn't have much flavor, and the chowder was more herbal forward versus a classic NE chowder style. I also didn't care for the Old Bay seasoning they sprinkled on both the chowder and lobster rolls. Aside from that, it's a great spot and the staff were super friendly!

Food was fresh and well cooked but some key details got in the way of a better experience. First - let's talk about seasoning. Old Bay is fine but it was sprinkled on everything we ordered - the clam chowder, the French fries, the fish, the sandwich. This made everything taste similar and it covered up the freshness of the seafood. The chowder was nice and thin but the potatoes were not cooked all the way and there was but one clam in the entire bowl. Fish sandwich and fish and chips were well cooked and very fresh. The tartar sauce was full of fresh dill. No cole slaw served with either option was a disappointment. State Line is a welcome addition especially as New England Fishmongers recently closed in Kittery.

On our drive to Boston Airport on the final day of our trip, we wanted to get some true Maine lobster rolls. Originally, we were skeptical of the Price (278 dollars for four rolls, truffle fries, and clam strips). However, when the food was brought out to us, we understood why. The lobster rolls were 6 ounces and they were piled high with enough lobster to seem as though multiple lobsters had gone into one roll, and they were spectacular. Additionally, the service was excellent and the place had some great vibes with a family friendly atmosphere.

Stopped by to get a to-go order of lobster and artichoke dip. The owner, Jason, introduced himself to me and we chatted. Super friendly guy! The restaurant is a good size, there is ample parking and it has a cozy atmosphere. Took my order home and I was not disappointed. Nice chunks of lobster mixed with artichoke and some wonderful cheese. The tortilla chips were bite size and perfect - homemade, to boot! Absolutely delicious - I will definitely be going back!

This was my favorite meal over my ten day tour of the Northeast coast! No doubt, nothing else held a candle to it. We had a fancy pants dinner in Cambridge, we had a Yelp Top 100 pizza in Boston, as well as The Bostonian and Tin Pier in Tea-Town as well. I waited in line for Red's for two hours based on multiple recommendations and nothing we got there was even a portion of how tremendous this place was. There were a couple places in New Hampshire that got pretty close, but overall this was the best. From the funny ass unsweet tea jar to the clam strips, everything was delightful! The clam chowder was good. It was topped with Old Bay seasoning that makes for a different kind of flavor. It's was noticeably thin though, buts still tasty nonetheless. The lobster roll was perfect. Warm, buttery, well seasoned, with a perfectly toasted spit top bun. I am not sure what was up with all of the pickles on the side, but at least they did not taint my roll with their nasty juices. C's clam strips were the best that I have ever had. She orders them a lot and they are always little trash strips out of a frozen food bag. Not here man! These things were freshly sliced clams! The homemade French fries were just the icing on the cake. All in all, superb meal! I wish that I lived closer so I could partake in the lobster roll once a week man. It's sooooo good!! I would bet what you order will be good too! Message me and let me know if you like it! I need a reason to get back!! '25 - 113/111

Do yourself a favor and drive another 1.5 miles north on Route 1 and stop here. This is the quintessential Maine Lobstah Roll, trust me, I am a native. Walk-in, place your order, and hang out. If it is warm enough, try some of the outdoor seating. Wicked Good!

Absolutely AMAZING Lobster!!! We were so hungry we started eating before I could even take the pics! The pictures don't really do them justice but the pile of lobster in the 6oz sandwiches was incredibly good!!! The staff was also great, so welcoming and friendly!!! Cute little lowkey place, sure to become a favorite for anyone that visits!!!!

His replies were delayed, his tone was monotone, and he did not seem confident with the menu. When my wife asked if they had the blueberry beer, he took the menu from the table and stood there reading it silently instead of checking with the bartender. Later, when my wife went to modify a dish, he said he was not sure they could do that. She told him, "I know they can. I do this every time I am here," and that is when he mentioned he had only been working there a few months. It explained the uncertainty, but it did not make the interaction smoother. The strangest moment was when I said I did not like the club soda. He came back and said, "Since you do not like the club soda you will not like the flat water, so I brought you a sparkling bottle instead since it is the same price." It was not rude. It was simply a very odd assumption and not something I have ever had a server decide on their own. On the positive side, the star of the meal, and honestly every time we come, is the shrimp cocktail. Huge shrimp served over crushed ice with cocktail sauce and extra horseradish. The shrimp were incredibly fresh, very firm, and had that perfect crunch with each bite. Absolutely delicious. The kitchen continues to deliver, and the rest of the staff seemed great, but the service at our table did not match the usual experience. We will be back for the food, especially that shrimp cocktail, but hopefully with a more confident and consistent front of house experience next time.

And they have the displays to match. On this partly cloudy afternoon, I was in search of lobster tails. Upon requesting them, I discovered two things.. 1.) Unfortunately, the tails offered are not very big. Near as I can figure, they come in packs of 3 of what appear to be around 5 ounces each. 2.) Lobster really IS more affordable if you buy it in Maine. For context, a standard two pack of lobster tails at 5 ounces each (or sometimes 4oz) costs me around $25 in NH at the time of writing this review. The 3 pack of the same size tails costs the same price here at Taylor. So, naturally I bought two of those and ultimately nabbed a little under 2 pounds of lobstah for a mere $50. Sufficed to say - we will most certainly return at a future date. I have my eyes set on the fresh lobster meat next. As mentioned, everything in the glass display looked delicious. The place is easy enough to find. Just be aware their entrance is actually not in the front of the building, but on the right hand side. It's a little confusing at first, especially considering the tiny street view sign doesn't help much. If you drive into the "boat drop off" section, you're on the wrong side. Other items I wouldn't mind trying next visit are their lobster bisque and clam chowder. If you're coming across the border as I do, one pro tip I'd offer is to bring a cooler to keep your produce in for the day as you travel back. We transported the lobstah back in my car on an 85 degree day and the gel ice packs kept everything cold enough not to oxidize. Definitely check this place out for all your fresh seafood needs. The locals have spoken and I agree; Taylor Lobster Company is worth 5 fresh, buttery lobstah tails charred on the grill out of 5.

They serve various size of lobsters as well as cook them for you. However they do not provide place to eat or utensils so they function more as a market than a restaurant. They have sort of a parking lot where you can park. There are few works on the back hanging around and 2 younger staff that take care of orders. Lobster has quite few size options and some explanations for terms they use. We weren't sure what to get but figure we wanted larger size lobsters. SLX which is the largest ones were $14 per pound. They can also let you pick them live as well but we chose 2 lb ones. They charge $1.5 to boil but it's a-lot of work to boil properly so it's worth it. We waited about 20-25minutes or so and they also chilled it so that we can take it home to eat. Luckily we had ice box with some ice packs so it kept the lobster fresh until getting home. Once we got home we opened the bag to eat the lobster. It's a huge lobster with large claws. We got a large bowl and separate plate to eat. It was a massive task to crack the claws as one of the claw was huge and very tough. We ended up using a hammer and dull knife to crack them open. The meat was tender and sweet. One of the best maine lobster we had. Overall the place provides fresh maine lobster for good price. Only issue is that they don't serve it so you will need to plan to take it home and have tools to crack them open. They also only take cash. If i were to come back i would give them a call a head of time to have the lobster prepared to go and pick them up which seems to be what other people were doing.

One of the great things about this place is that BYOB is encouraged, and many people brought a small cooler of beer or chilled wine. We brought plenty of local beers and a couple of cans of premixed cocktails. We all agreed that the experience was pretty amazing personally because none of us really knew how to crack open a lobster properly and get all of the meat, so we watched other local people go through their lobster routine.
