    Look!! Oxymoron Tea!!!

This was my favorite meal over my ten day tour of the Northeast coast! No doubt, nothing else held a candle to it. We had a fancy pants dinner in Cambridge, we had a Yelp Top 100 pizza in Boston, as well as The Bostonian and Tin Pier in Tea-Town as well. I waited in line for Red's for two hours based on multiple recommendations and nothing we got there was even a portion of how tremendous this place was. There were a couple places in New Hampshire that got pretty close, but overall this was the best. From the funny ass unsweet tea jar to the clam strips, everything was delightful! The clam chowder was good. It was topped with Old Bay seasoning that makes for a different kind of flavor. It's was noticeably thin though, buts still tasty nonetheless. The lobster roll was perfect. Warm, buttery, well seasoned, with a perfectly toasted spit top bun. I am not sure what was up with all of the pickles on the side, but at least they did not taint my roll with their nasty juices. C's clam strips were the best that I have ever had. She orders them a lot and they are always little trash strips out of a frozen food bag. Not here man! These things were freshly sliced clams! The homemade French fries were just the icing on the cake. All in all, superb meal! I wish that I lived closer so I could partake in the lobster roll once a week man. It's sooooo good!! I would bet what you order will be good too! Message me and let me know if you like it! I need a reason to get back!! '25 - 113/111

Do yourself a favor and drive another 1.5 miles north on Route 1 and stop here. This is the quintessential Maine Lobstah Roll, trust me, I am a native. Walk-in, place your order, and hang out. If it is warm enough, try some of the outdoor seating. Wicked Good!

The food was amazing. Above average. I honestly loved the haddock chowder and the Crispy Haddock and chips was so yummy. I am gluten free and best meal I have had out in a very long time. Seasoned unbelievable. My husband had the Lobster Mac and cheese and he said it was fantastic. The service was also very good. Explained what was GF and what was not and why. Pleasant and very helpful. Very cute interior. Small but relaxing.

Absolutely AMAZING Lobster!!! We were so hungry we started eating before I could even take the pics! The pictures don't really do them justice but the pile of lobster in the 6oz sandwiches was incredibly good!!! The staff was also great, so welcoming and friendly!!! Cute little lowkey place, sure to become a favorite for anyone that visits!!!!

It was Taco Tuesday. I had Lobster tempura and a wonder crispy crab taco.

Creative and delicious! Excellent service. Ambiance is standard. If I wasn't working, I would have had a third taco which comes with a Margarita! Very recommended.

Outstanding! Phenomenal! Can we make it 6 stars?!?!? This was not just the best meal of my trip, but it was the best Lobster Roll of my life!!!!! (And I've had so many all over New England!). Everything was delicious and fresh and flavorful! The staff were wonderful! The nautical vibe of this cozy little spot was super too! I just loved everything about it! A must return! ASAP!!!!!

Everything we purchased: - Two 6oz lobster rolls - Two fries - Two shakes

We were running errands in NH and on the way back up, we stopped at State Line Lobster to get a late lunch. Out of all the lobster places, skip this one. The ratings on here must be from out of staters or something. But for the price point, I was pretty disappointed. All in was $142 for two 6oz, two fries, two shakes. The lobster rolls had decent flavor but the meat was realllly chewy (meaning it was overcooked). The fries were not good (I ate 3-4 and threw the rest out). The chocolate milkshake made with custard was decent but the maple milkshake tasted like artificial flavoring and was a complete sugar bomb - too sweet, we threw it out as well. I will say the service was very polite, kind, and positive. With so many good options, not sure I'd do this one again :(

Brussel sprouts and taco Tuesday special. Three corn tacos, blackened lobster claw, fried halibut and grilled swordfish, all were delicious

Great place for lobster rolls and more! The food was delicious. We had lobster rolls two ways. They're made to order so I asked for less mayo than usual and it was perfect, lots of lobster and the bread very tasty. My husband had it with butter and it was a little too much. Maybe some people like it that way but the bread was soaked. The chips accompany the rolls well. We highly recommend the cheddar corn pie and Brussel sprouts, both were amazing! Also great was the homemade lemonade and sweet tea. The decor is nice and the place is clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Will definitely stop in again and again.

Nice stop for quick lunch away from the tourist restaurants. I had mussels and wife had haddock tacos, both had great flavor. The service was exceptional and they really wanted us to have a great experience as we did.

Tons of locals seem to rate this business in extremely high regards and I can see why. You walk in…read moreand are immediately greeted with the pleasant smell of fresh seafood. And they have the displays to match. On this partly cloudy afternoon, I was in search of lobster tails. Upon requesting them, I discovered two things.. 1.) Unfortunately, the tails offered are not very big. Near as I can figure, they come in packs of 3 of what appear to be around 5 ounces each. 2.) Lobster really IS more affordable if you buy it in Maine. For context, a standard two pack of lobster tails at 5 ounces each (or sometimes 4oz) costs me around $25 in NH at the time of writing this review. The 3 pack of the same size tails costs the same price here at Taylor. So, naturally I bought two of those and ultimately nabbed a little under 2 pounds of lobstah for a mere $50. Sufficed to say - we will most certainly return at a future date. I have my eyes set on the fresh lobster meat next. As mentioned, everything in the glass display looked delicious. The place is easy enough to find. Just be aware their entrance is actually not in the front of the building, but on the right hand side. It's a little confusing at first, especially considering the tiny street view sign doesn't help much. If you drive into the "boat drop off" section, you're on the wrong side. Other items I wouldn't mind trying next visit are their lobster bisque and clam chowder. If you're coming across the border as I do, one pro tip I'd offer is to bring a cooler to keep your produce in for the day as you travel back. We transported the lobstah back in my car on an 85 degree day and the gel ice packs kept everything cold enough not to oxidize. Definitely check this place out for all your fresh seafood needs. The locals have spoken and I agree; Taylor Lobster Company is worth 5 fresh, buttery lobstah tails charred on the grill out of 5.

The best part of my visit was the seafood chowder, but every other dish was mediocre, and the…read moreservice was terribly slow. The seafood chowder was flavorful and full of chunks of seafood. The salmon bites were over saturated in sauce so much so that the panko was soggy, the pan seared scallops were decent but I found the bacon jam to be too sweet paired with the scallops. We could not flag down our waiter any of the times we needed her and every time we asked someone else for help they'd leave and not come back. When it started raining and we needed to move indoors she was gone for so long she was surprised when she returned and we had already had been helped inside by another staff member. We ended the meal when she said she'd come back with water only to disappear and we ended up asking another waitress for the check, and she redirected it back to our waitress, who finally came back with no water. The restaurant was by no means full so I'm not sure what the large gaps in service was, and at one point my friend noticed the waitresses chatting in the kitchen while we were craning our necks. I'd only come back to order the seafood chowder as the rest of the dishes weren't good enough to make up for this.

They serve up lobster rolls (mayo or buttered), fried belly clams (& rolls), crab rolls, smoked brisket brats, chicken fingers, lobster stew, lobster dip, lobster ABLT, chips, cookies, H-Jays frozen custard, soft drinks, lemonade and iced tea. At the time of this posting, their website was still under construction and they will be offering DoorDash delivery. There are picnic tables in front of the trailer. After an appointment nearby, I stopped by the Trapped in York Maine food trailer. I decided to order a Small Trapped Meal ($24 plus tax) with a Small Lobster Roll, bag of Cape Cod Sea Salt Chips, watermelon cubes, 2 homemade Maine spice cookies, and a fresh lemonade. My order was prepared to order in about 8 minutes. I enjoyed my food outside. The Lobster Roll (3 oz of knuckle & claw meat in mayo) on a toasted New England hot dog roll. The watermelon and chips were good sides for the Maine style lobster roll. The 2 homemade sweet Maine spice cookies were soft and chewy. The iced lemonade was refreshing, as I enjoyed the rest in the ride after finishing my meal.

I was excited to find out that they are in fact open on Sundays- so Yelp is wrong about that. I got the large which is 6 oz on a hot buttered brioche roll, which can be served cold with just mayo, or warm with butter. I opted for the latter. It was DELICIOUS - more tail than claw- which made me extra happy!! The service was outstanding, I believe the owner was there- but the young lady was also quite sweet. They answered all my questions, both on the phone, and in person. I also ordered the haddock and fries for tomorrow- but of course I tried it. So tender and flaky!! Their fries are hand cut, and have both sweet potatoes and regular potatoes. So good! Lunch is going to be great tomorrow! The place is a yellow food truck, so seating is casual at picnic tables. It is quite lovely! I was hungry- so I had already taken a few bits of my lobster roll- sorry about that haha
