    Korean Chicken Sandwich
    Liz R.

I've only had breakfast here so today seemed like a great day to see what they were doing for lunch. Service was great as it typically is despite it being a different crew which is awesome and the time from ordering my food to when it arrived was perfect! I had the Korean Chicken Sandwich which was very yummy and enormous (they cut it into 3 sections so I had leftovers) and their fries which are always perfectly crispy. I requested the pickle and coleslaw on the side (no additional charge) because what's a diner meal without them? Overall a great lunch experience so next up is dinner and / or a late night bite here in the future.

Our server was attentive and very patient. It was a party of 10 and he made sure to listen and all our orders came out as requested. I had the chipotle salmon wrap which was good enough to be split between two people. My friend didn't like the salmon however I enjoyed it, maybe it's just a preference. Place is big enough to come in big groups or come for a duo date.

The food here was really good. I give the food quality and freshness an 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. The only issue was the service. The waitress was a nice lady but she was gone for so long, we could not find her at times when we needed things. Also when it was time to pay the check, she brought the check and then disappeared again for a long time when we were ready to leave. The service was the only issue with this visit.

Had a great time at State Street Grill! Fast service and food came out in a timely manner. Ordered the calamari and chicken francaise with penne. Food was pretty good! Reggie was really helpful and super nice. Would def come back again :) Thank you from #11!

Hopefully, at some point they will get that together because...not the first mess up. I have faith in them and I hope to change my score

Your typical Jersey diner. Been there a few times for breakfast and have tried a few different items on the menu and all have been good.

This was my first visit to State Street Grill and I'm glad my daughter suggested it. Christopher our server was so warm, friendly and professional. He was great. The decor of the restaurant is industrial/modern, pretty cool. Now the food, it was so good! My daughter had the French onion soup and chicken francese, she said it was excellent. I had the Napoleon French toast with eggs over easy and turkey bacon. Everything came out hot and fresh.

Empty restaurant super slow service... The food better be good! Cause 20 minutes just for our waitress to come back? WTH?

It's cozy, genuine, and the kind of place where you can tell there's a lot of love going into what comes out of the kitchen. And speaking of that kitchen--you can see it from pretty much every seat in the house. Watching several cooks navigate what looks like an incredibly tiny space is almost mesmerizing. Somehow, they move around each other seamlessly, and the best part? The food comes out FAST. My wife went with the hummus, and it was creamy, flavorful, and delicious. But the surprise star on the side was the salted dried kale chip--such a simple little addition, but ridiculously good. Then came my pancakes. Out of this world. Small in diameter, but super thick, with a beautifully crispy exterior giving way to an interior that was fluffy, light, and airy. I've tried making this style of pancake at home countless times, and I still have absolutely no idea how to get that texture. The syrup and berries were the perfect finishing touches. Everything just worked. I've made and had soooo many pancakes in my life, and this is easily top 3 best. The Corner is the kind of place that makes you start planning your next visit before you've even left. I'll be dreaming about getting back to this Corner.

We got the pan con chicharrón and I truly almost cried! I have not had one as delicious as this one in Jersey! The pork was tender, yet nicely fried, and there was not as much fat on it which is always hard as the fat gives it the flavor but too much can be overpowering. After talking to the chef, he mentioned that it is no longer on the menu because people didn't really order it ... so here I am, asking you all to go in and order it, so it can hopefully go back on the menu and everyone can try authentic and delicious Peruvian breakfast!! There's also free wifi and outlets. The tables are on the smaller side and the cafe isn't that big, so it's probably not best for large groups. Their menu is simple and a bit limited. Honestly... I prefer it that way! They have your core espresso drinks and a few paninis and croissant sandwiches. They bake their own pastries fresh on the premises. I recommend trying their cookies - they are huge, soft, and chewy! They also specialize in custom cakes for special occasions. Everything is reasonably priced. Baristas are sweet and efficient. They make some tasty iced lattes! The espresso is strong, but not too bitter. It has just the right balance of coffee and milk. I recently tried the Ham Solo sandwich ($10) which included scrambled egg, ham, cheddar, and avocado on a croissant with a side of chips. It wasn't bad, but I wouldn't order it again. The egg was dry and the ham and cheese tasted like those cheap, pre-sliced ones from grocery stores. If I lived closer, I could see myself stopping by more often.
