I've been to this place a few times, and it's consistently good. A friend and I went for lunch on a Friday during Lent, and as Catholics, we asked the server which seafood or vegetarian options he recommended. Onelio was an absolute delight, walking us through the menu with care. We each opted for a soup--butternut squash for her and lentil for me--along with shrimp tempura salads. Since neither of us enjoys arugula, we asked to have it swapped for romaine, which was no issue. The soups were just what we needed on a chilly day and balanced well with the salad. The balsamic yuzu vinaigrette they use on it is so good and they add just the right amount. We also ordered some after-lunch drinks: matcha for her with an almond croissant, and a Paciencia y Fe (signature espresso/Dominican chocolate) coffee for me. Both gave us the little boost we needed to continue our day. The ambiance here is calm and welcoming, and the staff are incredibly friendly. For those with a sweet tooth, there's a large display filled with a wide variety of pastries.

My friends and I decided to go to brunch here for the first time this past weekend. I was pleasantly surprised to see there were some latin foods on the menu! When we first arrived, we saw there was a line out the door. Luckily we had made a reservation. We still had to wait about 15 minutes but they had a small seating area which we used. The place was pretty and had an interesting design to it. We were seated at the back on a bigger table which they divided into half for another family. The worker there mentioned they could move us to another table once there was an availability but this was no issue for us so we stayed where we were. We got the BLT sandwich with sauteed onions, micki mouse shaped waffle, birria tacos and shashuska. We also got the chicken and steak empanadas and also strawberry mint lemonade and mint lemonade. The food was good. The Shashuska and Birria Tacos were tasty. The birria tacos however were VERY oily...the oil was dripping out! The BLT was ok - nothing special but nothing bad but the fries it came with seemed to not have been seasoned evenly (some were very salty and others lacked salt). Waffle was good - normal. We also had gotten the chicken and steak empanadas. The chicken empanadas were tasty and better than the steak one. The sauce the chicken empanadas came with was limey and tasty. The steak one was salty according to my friend. What we all loved the most were our drinks. We had gotten the freshly squeezed strawberry mint lemonade and the mint lemonade and wow - it was so tasty and refreshing left me wanting more! Overall, place was nice, and food was good.

My son and I had Valentines Brunch here. It's a byob with a liquor store on the same street. Its vibe is very welcoming and I like how big the seating area was. We had reservation and we waited to be seated. It was packed which to me means it's worth the wait. By the time we sat, brunch was 30 mins before transitioning to dinner. So we requested both menus. lol!! I love food! We had a lite fair for breakfast: pancakes and chicken empanada. For dinner we ordered the risotto and strip steak with spinach. Everything was delicious! I will definitely come back.

Very spacious and comfortable sitting dining area. Food was fresh and coffee was on point! Servers are supper attentive. One down side, they get pretty packed and busy, if you are looking for a place sit and hang out, you might want to get breakfast here and find another coffee place to hang out without feeling the pressure to pay the bill and be "kicked out"

Food- Amazing blend of South American Latin and North American fusion blend of offering. The food tasted like they were fresh ingredients- I also saw them unload a bevy of ingredients from a personal car. The coffee and latte were great. I got the Lavender hot latte. The HUEVOS A LA DIVORCIADA was amazing with red and green sauce, with a good portion size. Service- the whole crew were welcoming and accommodating. We received some recommendations. Ambiance- very clean facility, good art work display. They are baby friendly as we had a stroller.

I order the crispy Parmesan chicken $17. The chicken wasn't crispy, it was burnt on the edges and very tough and chewy. It was served with sliced sandwich cheese on top. I could not eat it, the chicken was just terrible. The server was very nice. The restaurant is extremely noisy inside.

Wow! What a great experience! I came on a Sunday afternoon with no reservation after calling the restaurant the day prior to see if any table were available to reserve when I was informed they also do first come, first serve. With a party of 3 we waited less than 40 min on a busy Sunday afternoon. We ordered the arepas to start since we were so hungry! And they were so delicious! We loved the texture of soft and crispy outside. For the main dish I had the birria taco and oh my, were they one of the best birria tacos (5/5) I've had - well seasoned and so tasty. I also had a piece of the Madison quesadilla with chorizo (4/5) and it was also delicious. I tried a couple fries but they were anything out of this world - just ok (2/5). I enjoyed my hot lavender matcha latte with almond milk as well. I'm definitely going to come back and try some other menu items...or will the birria tacos be my go to? We shall see! Our server was great - very attentive, welcoming and friendly. I think her name began with an "S." The ambience is casual, very cute restaurant, would probably make a great date night option too!

Meet Me at Madison's was such a great brunch experience. Even though we had a reservation and still ended up waiting a bit, the service more than made up for it. Our server, Sandra, was exceptional and truly took care of us from start to finish. I tried the empanadas, which were delicious, and the chicken and waffle, which was also very good. The food, the energy, and the overall vibe made it a fun outing. It's BYOB, so definitely bring your own bubbly if you're planning on having mimosas. We had a great time and I'd absolutely come back.

Meet me at Madison is such a cute brunch spot. This restaurant is BYOB. Its interior design and decor is cutesy. This is a great restaurant to catch up with friends, have a lunch with family, and simply enjoy a delicious meal at a restaurant that is warm and inviting. I ordered a Caesar salad with roasted chicken. My friend ordered steak and eggs, my other friend ordered the omelette. We were a party of five people. My friends and I greatly enjoyed our brunch meals. My salad in particular was amazing, the roasted chicken was soft, chewy, and flavorful. My salad had a ton of Caesar dressing which I loved. I was definitely happy with my choice of ordering a salad. The service was excellent. My friends and I hung out at the restaurant for a while even after we had finished eating and the restaurant wasn't as busy anymore so they were nice to let us hangout in the restaurant after we had already paid. 10/10 Montclair Brunch experience and recommendation. I would come back here to try more of their menu. I was a bit indecisive between my Caesar salad and crispy cauliflower tacos but at the end I went with the Caesar salad.

Came here for a quick brunch with our one year old. Loved that it was a little more upscale and nicer, but still kid friendly. Everything we got was different than a usual omelette or avocado toast, which made it exciting. Service could have been a little more attentive, but they were very nice.

LOVED! My friend and I came here on a Friday morning for a breakfast date and fell in love. We ordered the cold pressed juices: the wake up and the 3 in 1 and they were tasty. We also ordered the chilaquiles (she purchased the one with brisket and mine with just egg). We both ate in silence just savoring how delicious the meal was lol! The portions were perfect and pricing was decent for what you got. We also ordered the bao bun which were 2 bao buns with an egg omelette, avocado and bacon. The bacon was a bit thick for my liking but overall it was good. But the star of the show was for sure the chilaquiles. The service was great as well and the location was very nice they also have a bakery section.

Made a reservation for brunch on a Sunday morning and the restaurant was surprisingly not as busy as anticipated. Service was amazing from the minute we walked in to the minute we left and the food was scrumptious! The omelette was perfectly stuffed and cooked to perfection and the apricot toast (special) was popping with flavor! Oh and the macchiato was the perfect temperature and delicious. We want to visit again to try more of the menu while enjoying mimosas (bringing our own champagne of course as it's a byob) .

Really delicious foods! Prices were very reasonable too! Would get any of these food items again they were great. Definitely don't come if you're in a rush because this place is busy and service can get a little slower but the waitress was extremely friendly so can't blame her!

The sea bass my wife and SIL were again, beautifully prepared and delicious as always, as were my lamb chops (Kuzu). The pan seared calamari was naked which is more healthy than fried! The miso aioli made the big difference with the squid! It was different and delicious. The squid was tender and not chewy! For dinner I ordered the beef shish kebab. It came with two kebab. The beef tasted delicious with the Turkish style marinade. I think it would have been more worth if they added another kebab stick. The pistachio rice was good. It was a different taste with nice almonds slices. The only negative were the kebabs and rice were cold like the onion salad. And I loved the onion salad. We also ordered the salmon artichoke. The pan seared salmon was over cooked. They should have seared it in a shorter time. And it lacked seasoning believe it or not! The artichoke Brussels were a little on the burnt side. The spicy tomato sauce tasted more like ketchup. We will not be ordering this in the future. We also ordered a side of fries and Tahini brussels. The fries weee very tasty and I savored every piece. The Brussels were tasty as well. For dessert, we ordered rice pudding and baklavas. Its English name comes from a Greek legend: Zeus had an affair with a beautiful woman named Io. When Hera, his wife, discovered his infidelity, she turned Io into a cow and created a horsefly to sting her on the rump. Io jumped clear across the strait. Thus, "bous" = "cow" and "poros" = "crossing place": Bosphorus = "crossing place of the cow." Located off of busy Franklin Avenue in Nutley, my partner, our friends, and I have decided on our dinner at this family-owned-and-run BYOB establishment, which has been open since 1995. A reservation was made for a party of 4 by calling their restaurant. Upon arrival after three years, we were welcomed by Nora, the owner, and made our way to a table by the piano inside, evoking a cozy, thoughtfully designed, upscale vibe with music playing softly. Their menu features Turkish and Mediterranean cuisine. For starters, we decided on the Puffed Rill Pastry and Grape Leaves. Our main meal consisted of all lamb dishes (Lamb Shish Kebab, Beyti Kebab, Lamb Chops, and Lamb Sauté). Our food was fresh, well seasoned, and cooked to perfection, accompanied by a beautifully presented dish. Everything was authentically made with love here. Wish we could have stayed for dessert, as they looked amazing, but some of us were in a rush. It's definitely on the higher end cost but worth the taste. Our visit ended with a hug and a piece of candy.

But although I found the restaurant to be cozy and my server to be friendly, the food though freshly prepared was just average at best. Let me explain. So, after perusing the menu, I saw a few Mediterranean staples, such as, baba-ghanoush, lentil soup, and a beef Shawarma entrée. So I decided to order all three of those items. Now, let me tell you not only was I excited to taste the food here, but I truly wanted to experience what a majority of people on yelp said about this place and its food. But I soon discovered that you truly cannot trust other peoples opinions when it comes to food. You just literally have to try it yourself to see if it even resembles that cuisines standard benchmarks. Well anyway, let me get to what I thought about the food. The lentil soup it's pretty tasty, but it would serve lukewarm. The baba-ghanoush was also tasty, but the pita bread was stale and void of any flavor. And as for the so-called Beef Shawarma entrée, it was literally chopped up cubes of beef! Nothing near to what a standard Shawarma entrée should resemble, or let alone taste like! To be quite honest, I was so disenchanted with the Shawarma entrée that I asked my server to take it away and just give me the bill. I was ready to go! But my server genuinely saw my disappointment with this so-called Beef Shawarma that she pleaded with me to try another entrée. So I asked her to recommend another entrée to me. And she recommended the Skewered Chicken entrée. So, I caved in and went ahead and ordered this Skewered Chicken entrée. But I should've just went with my gut feeling and just should have paid the bill and left. I say this because it took forever for them to prepare this Skewered Chicken entrée and I mean forever! And this is on a Tuesday night with only two other people inside the restaurant, so literally this place was empty! (Not sure if the Cook made me wait for this dish out of spite for me sending back the first entree but that is my suspicion). Anyway, I got my server's attention and she told me if I could wait a few more minutes because they were plating my dish and that it will be out shortly. And that literally took another 10 minutes. To say that I was eager to get out of this place would be an understatement. I was standing up literally putting on my jacket when the dish finally reached my table. My server asked me kindly to return to my seat and to try her recommended entrée. So I gave her the benefit of the doubt and I did so. The Skewered Chicken entrée was a little better than the so-called Beef Shawarma entrée, but really nothing to write home about. What a letdown! I really wanted to give this restaurant one star, but my server really showed genuine concern about my dining experience. And I truly appreciated that. And so as for my take on Le Souk of Montclair NJ. I would caution spending your hard earned money at this restaurant. The food is mediocre at best and there are a lot of better options in the Montclair area for Mediterranean food.
