When is comes to grocery shopping I don't usually come to Martin's, but I do come by on occasion to…read moretheir deli.  I have been fond of the muffins near the deli that are technically one of their bakery items.  I also love their panini sandwiches, corndogs, and their honey mustard they have available for dipping.  Their salad bar has been updated and I would recommend checking it out but keep in mind it is pay by weight.  Their sushi is freshly made and you can watch the employee make it.  I am not a big raw fish person so I usually will grab one that is vegetarian if I get any at all.  They do have a Starbucks inside which is an added bonus.  In their bakery area I have always enjoyed their muffins, specifically the poppy seed muffin and the blueberry muffins.  Overall I have been enjoying Martin's for years and would recommend coming in specifically for their deli.

We came in to grab a few Memorial Day last minute items, including hot dogs and hot dog buns. Typical for an Aldi shopping trip, it cost less than the other places we shop and my husband said what he always says: we need to come here more. Everything is organized, the check outs were being run smoothly and quickly thanks to the addition of some self checkouts. Carts require a quarter and bags cost money, like all Aldi stores. Quick and easy shopping trip for the win. We will definitely be back soon.

She had colorful hair and helped us find the smaller packs of batteries because we only needed two. The one thing I don't like about Dollar General is not everything is $1, making it not a true dollar store. It's hard to remember which places actually do have a price cap of $1 and which places don't. I remember Dollar General doesn't because i think in my head 'things are Generally a Dollar not always'. Overall, it's a decent Dollar General, but it is still a Dollar General and no longer the Family Video of my childhood.

Both my husband and I love their french bread pizzas as my husband has been eating them since he was a kid. We will most likely be making this Aldi our regular grocery shopping place or at least until the location in Stevensville opens. The biggest con of Aldis is still that they tend to only have one cashier at any given time. That can allow for long lines but for me it is worth it. Don't forget your quarter for a cart and reusable bags for your groceries.

The checkout cashier referred to me as "young lady ". apparently she is unaware of how offensive the reference is. Using that phrase is ageist and what gerontologists call "elderspeak" which is full of condescension and very patronizing. This hasn't happened frequently so when it does, I usually just smile and move on. She called me that twice, apparently thinking she is on top of things. Came to Gordon Food Service most recently to buy some Halloween candy on Monday October 28th.  We…read moredon't get too many trick or treaters so we were looking for smaller bags so we could buy a variety of items.  I was pleasantly surprised that we were able to find reasonably sized bags for $5 each.  We grabbed a variety and got out with a large lot of $20 worth of candy. I have always felt Gordons was a reliable place to grab anything in bulk.  My parents got both my brother and my graduation party food here.  I also get things here when I'm buying for family gatherings because my family is fairly large. The staff is average.  When we walked in we weren't greeted or anything but when helped at the register she did tell us about the rewards program which we signed up for, but like most grocery store employees she looked tired and not enthusiastic. I like that you can find so many items here for a decent value but this store isn't like some magical GFS that makes is special to me or makes me want to come more often.  I will continue to come here for my bulk needs but it is just an average GFS.  Not anything magically amazing.
