She took the credit card payment, emailed me all the documents and provided proof of insurance for Yellow Transporters. She was so kind and professional as I called a few times with questions. The driver picked up the car on a Friday and delivered the car on Sunday at 1:00 pm. We had a unique situation where we were relying on our landlord/movers before we could move-in, but we were easily able to schedule our unloading time with Phil. Upon arrival, Tyler was very friendly and walked us through the yard to our cube. We had minimal damage to our items: - a scratched dresser that wasn't wrapped completely (our fault) - broken glass on an end table that wasn't protected (also our fault) - some random glass belongings inside boxes We did purchase the insurance, but as the representative told us, the best insurance is to pack your items properly. Although they…read morehave cost more than a couple of other transport companies we looked into we were happy, and we had never had any complaints or issues. This year after our car was returned from Florida our car was mud caked, truly mud caked, unlike any other time in the past. After we had the car washed the entire car was spotted. We had it washed second and 3d times and the spots remained. CHIPs refused to deal with the car, saying if I didn't want it to be dirty I should send it in an enclosed truck. In order for the spots to be removed the car needs a special surface finishing treatment. CHIPS has lost our business and I would not recommend them.
