It took 11 days from signing to pick up. It STILL had to be re-serviced 2 weeks later to complete INITIAL promised work. Return with service lights came on... airbag and fuel issue.. they "fixed" them for me.. only to have them come on again 3 weeks later. They only reset my codes. I should have read the reviews before driving to this location and wasting my time. Louie needs to learn how to properly conduct business because the way I left that establishment with my energy in shambles was not okay. I looked at there 2011 charger and plugged in my OBD to see what the check engine light was about and he got so frantic with me right after, the reviews are correct you can not ask any questions. I had to tell him to relax himself that it's normal for people to ask many questions about a vehicle they are looking to purchase, doesn't that make sense, why would anyone just buy a used car with zero questions. I had found a few red flags and asked him about it and if they fix the issues, no seat belt for the driver seat (of course you would ask if that would be replaced) He knew none of the issues said that the car was brought there a week ago and they don't look at the cars or service them until someone is ready to buy. Which makes no sense to me how do you get a vehicle price it up and have no idea what so ever what's even going on with it. This place is giving scam. long story but i'll try . looked at many many cars at stateline . settled finally on an 2015 murano . let me say that tom is cool, laid back as it gets . lou , a bit high strung but great with numbers . i was nervous about buying another murano as my previous 2007 murano had a tranny issue , very common . my 2015 was beautiful , and lou prepped it incredibly . after several weeks , especially in the city , we began to notice a bucking in low gears . changed the fluid and it still bucks in low gear . my 1000 mile warranty had expired and they were under no obligation to fix it . at that time i didnt choose an extended warranty so thats on me i guess . stateline did say that for a cost of $2400 they would fix it . a great price for sure , but with the loss of my job i just didnt have the money . so i have a loan on an 2015 that needs a tranny . i would still however recommend stateline read more

I would like to start off that there selection of car from physically seeing them reflects in my opinion a good selection, for that I would give them 5. As far as personality wise my initial interaction with them was extremely positive, so I filled out a credit app after they close online received a call back the following day with positive information. For that I would give them a five. However, where I would give them a one would be there openness. I was asking multiple times to get rough numbers as if the numbers were so far outside of my comfort zone. I did not want to waste their time nor mine and go down to the lot which was a 35 minute drive from me they were unwilling to share any details, without me, physically, being in person as they were stating that they are program was too hard to understand over the phone. That is the reason I give them a one. They are not willing to be open and transparent. I was not even asking for a firm number. Not my first time buying a car. And to be treated as if I'm uneducated and cannot understand simple basic arithmetic math interest rates times principle equals monthly payment. Is insulting. So I decided and let them know that I would not further be participating in buying a car with them and thank them for the opportunity in their time. We saw online one vehicle that we thought would be adequate, and when we got there it unfortunately wasn't. BUT the guys working here went above and beyond for us. They took us around the lot, and we looked at a few different vehicles until we found the perfect one for us, and our budget. They were so kind, helpful and communicative. We had a bunch of questions for them about the vehicle, and they were so knowledgeable and willing to help us anyway they can. Along with that after purchasing the SUV, they did an extra mechanical check up on it so we could be assured that it will be road worthy, and good for our drive down to Florida. After making a deal with Lou, we arranged for a time to pick up a car to bring it to have it checked out by a mechanic. We called to make sure it would be ready and Lou informed us that he can no longer sell it to us for that price. He claimed that the posted price was a typo. The car had just been marked down by $500. If what they claim is true, then they must have made 2 typos. They then jacked the car up by $2,000 which is not even in the reasonable range for that car, then said they'd split the difference with us. The worst thing about this experience is that the car was to be the 1st for our 17 year old son. They got him all excited and then pulled the rug out. Lets see.. I looked at a vehicle at this place, the pick up was a good deal. Talked to the sales manager to set up the deal, took all my info for a loan, my credit isn't that great, I had a co signer and there credit is very good. We went around for week he was trying to get good rates etc.... Today I stopped by to see what was going on and he told me that he would call me in a hour never called. This evening after supper I stopped by the truck wasn't there and he told me that he sold it,he never gave me chance or a call. This dealership in new to the area and has bad business practices already. With this kind of service they will not be around long...... An update to my warning about purchasing a vehicle here... just when I thought things couldn't get worse my battery died in my Volkswagen. I called AAA to come out. When I told them I had purchased the car less than a year ago and they put a new battery in (the battery was dead when I picked the car up and they put a "new" one in) the technician was surprised that it could be dead already. They double checked it and remove the battery to replace it with a new one. A real new one! They came in and informed me that the battery that State line had put in was an old battery, however, they had put a new sticker over the old one to make it appear that it was a new battery. Nice Huh? I wonder how they would feel if these things were done to members of their family? I've never come across such dishonesty and scamming. read more

ADDITIONS ADDED AFTER RECIEVING A THREATENING UNPROFESSIONAL CALL FROM Lou at STATELINE. Im sure the owner, John and the authorities will appreciate the tone of my voicemail message. They should be called "OVERUSED" DEALERSHIP. I purchased a HONDA Accord here with only 90,000 miles back in Sept 2014, It has many problems. The ignition often doesnt turn over, so sometimes the damn car wont start - completely serious. I have had door panel problems, during the winter the drivers side wouldnt open I had to keep using de-icer daily, door handle problems, trunk doesnt stay open, needed 4 new tires within 2-3 months of buying it which I had to get the owner involved to replace it no charge*, within months power steering and pump are leaking so when you steer it makes a loud terrible grinding sound, control arm needs replaced - real damn safe, brake problems, catalytic converter needs replaced, even the oil panel plug didnt stay on - I called them about fixing the oil panel, but Lou never called back! Try to call Lou after the warrantee is up - or after he reads your YELP review after giving so much consideration about doing so - and hear how helpful and friendly he is . Now the damn driver side window finally wont come back up no matter what - the motor and switch are busted, a problem I went into Stateline to fix a week after buying the Honda and the tech wouldnt do it because he couldnt replicate the problem at that moment and find out what part was causing the problem* - well guess the problem was the whole f'ing door then. NO WAIT, THE PROBLEM IS THAT I BOUGHT A CAR AT STATELINE. I feel robbed. I just needed a car, man. Now I have a moneypit. It's just not fair. *Stateline replaced the four tires that NEEDED to be replaced because we had a quote from a tire company that states it was necessary and unsafe due to each tire being different with different treads and not to HONDA specs found on door panel. They replaced the tires with standard tires from Town Fair Tire. *Affordable Glass, 401-434-6000, a fantastic company which I highly recommend fixed the window problem for $188, and Affordable Glass found the door handle was actually being held up by a zip tie! Looking forward to that needing replacement! read more

Buying a car at first seemed like an easy and friendly experience. After a week of having the car the problems with my car began. The trunk was extremely unsafe and hit my five year old and my boyfriends seventy year old mother both in the head. We were told that there was nothing they could do because a part had been installed on the trunk that did not belong there. Shortly after that the window would frequently not go up and they would not look at it at all to see what the problem was. Turns out that all the wiring in the door was improperly spliced. Now we needed four new tires several weeks after buying a car. All the treads were different, all the tires were different and all were rated wrong for the car, again another safety issue. The problems keep coming and we just get the run around from these Formerly Friendly Salesmen. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE. All we ended up with was a lemon which I can't afford to make lemonaid out of because the car has so many issues. read more

I found there posting on cargurus.com. I called and went to see the car. They initially seemed like they wanted to sell me the car. They let me test drive it . I expressed my concern before the test drive that cargurus reported and accident and asked what happened they said nothing happened with the car and handed me the carfax report with nothing on it. But why was it reported then? I took it for a ride and tried to stop when i almost missed my turn and the car kept going and didn't stop. I had my fiance look at the car and he noticed a lot of over spray on the vehicle. So I went back to the dealership and mentioned my concerns and asked about the report and they couldn't explain it and said they would fix the brakes and also asked if the car had been painted. They couldn't explain anything I had asked and the salesmen even went to the owner John with my concerns and he didn't know or seem to care. Apparently your not supposed to ask questions when you purchase something. And I was still willing to negotiate even with my concerns . I started talking price with the salesman.When another salesman came out and said johns uncle was going to buy the car too. So either i was being squeezed or Johns uncle was really going to buy the car . So why let me test drive it . There are plenty of dealerships up and down route 1. Maybe I start somewhere else. I recently purchased a 2002 F150 for my son there. Short of the long ride there, it was a great place to purchase a vehicle. Everyone from Tom to Lou to John were more than helpful and wonderful to deal with. After buying the truck I took it to my mechanic who did a review of the truck. I contacted them on 6 items that needed to be repaired and they took the truck back and corrected the items requested. One of the mechanics even came out to talk to me about some of the repairs. The communication between Lou, myself and my son was great and the owner John even went one step further to make the truck extra special. Lou talks the game, lies through his teeth and then sells the car out from under people without so much as a courtesy phone call. People's credit in this economy is not always perfect, but they should be given the same courtesy as anyone else. The dealership flaunts marketing materials from Carfax to give you the impression that they use the service but then they'll tell you they don't. It's probably because half of their inventory are wrecks that they've fixed up. Whatever their issues, stay away from this dealership. Both my daughter and my husband were given the run-around by Lou and then went right up the street to Landes Family Auto and were approved by their lenders immediately. Sleazy and shady. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!!! Saleman very friendly. Had car that I was looking for but had some "need to get fixed" issues (brakes/cooling etc). Was promised that everything would be taken care of before picking up car. Date of pickup got puched back multiple times to allow them the time they needed to fix the issues. (cont) Picked up car with multiple items on the checklist not fixed. Got "opps, forgot" and "thats normal" as reasons. Brought car back to fix. Picked up car and now check engine light is on and its throwing cooling system codes. Back it goes. Get car back and 24 hours later...same codes. Bring car back. They keep the car for a week to make sure they got everything...get car back and the code re-appears. Goes back to shop and they finally change out the thermostat. Code finally is gone. 35 days later, there is coolant all over my driveway. Car is known for water pump issues and with 100K+ miles decided to brnig it to a REAL mechanic. The leak is not from the waterpump. It is from the half-assed mickey-mouse installation of the thermostat. The housing was warped. Instead of spending the $30 on a new housing, they used a tube of sealant around it (and installed it with the gasket on the wrong side). BTW - brakes are still squeeling and now the back seat and trunk flood everytime it rains. read more

As well as our SUV they sold us, was in need of a lot of work, bad battery! who sells a car with a bad battery!?& to boot they refused to pay within warranty period. Claimed I was out of my warranty, (Lou- YOU moved it out for us considering it took 2.5 weeks to pick up the car after signing papers) claimed there copy said otherwise!!!! Asked for a call from Lou or owner, both never called me or would respond through email. and then it ended up back in the shop for another 3 days after failing for emissions and safety at my mechanic!- check engine light came on right after they "fixed" all the issues It had , then battery died leaving me and my two very small children stranded on the side of the road in the freezing winter! - then broke down twice more major electrical issues, had no vehicle for another 2 weeks. I wish I can give them no stars. These people really screw you over. First off when I bought my car not even 30 days later my car breaks down and they make me pay $100 for it which was ridiculous, and on top of that they can never give me any paper work stating what they did to the car... fast forward a couple years, I've had my car and have had multiple issues which I had to fix at other shops. Now I'm having and electrical transmission issue and the shop I go to doesn't work on transmission so I had to bring it back to them. These people had my car for a whole week and did nothing to it! First day they tell me they ordered the part and it'll be fixed the next day... next day I call and now it's the wrong part and they need another one... four days later still working on it. 5 days later now they need a valve body and they are waiting on my warranty company to get back to them to pay for it 7 days later now my warranty company won't cover it unless the code shows on the check engine light... sooo my car is just going to sit at your shop until it magically feels like showing a some code? great! So I picked up my car called the warranty company myself to see what I can do come to find out from them that they never even got a call and there is no recorder of any claims of a valve body or anything for that matter... so they didn't even call!!! COMPLETELY DONE! NEVER AGAIN!! read more

These guys are complete sleaze bags. My wife bought her car there and was having issues with it shortly after purchase. We brought it back for repair during the 30 day warranty and all they said was, "It's not doing that for us." After telling us they didn't know what the problem was we brought it to a real mechanic. Turns out the harmonic balancer was completely rotted out and the belt tensioner was cracked. Several belts and hoses also needed to be replaced resulting in $500 worth of repairs only a month and a half after purchase. After confronting Lou who was completely rude and unprofessional he pretty much told me tough luck you 30 day warranty is up. Don't risk buying a car from these clowns! read more

My girlfriend needed to buy a car so we looked online for a bit, came across a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder. We went to take a look at it, every thing seemed to pan out great! Car drove fine, except for a couple of mishaps and the engine light came on during the test drive. Talked to Tom the sales rep, said they would fix it and all the issues we found during the test drive. I tried to negotiate a better price for the car, as one always does. Lou said he would mark the bill of sale at $1200 instead of $4000 to save us money on sales tax. Although he did mention, he doesn't normally do this, cause it's not exactly legal. It's so they can pocket more money on their end, and if there is a lemon law, you will only end up getting the bill of sale price back not the full price of the car you paid. That was the first issue we had. Second, after two days of driving the car, the engine light came back on, I dropped it off and told them it came on for the same reason it did during the test drive, as the code read the exact same. They never fixed the car like they said they would, instead they cleared the code and said it was ok to drive. The biggest problem, was the convertible top leaked severely, I called them back about a week later to tell them about this, all Tom said was the 30 day warranty only covered power train. They did however offer to take a look at it. All he said was that the convertible guy they use, cleaned up the gaskets to create a better seal. The top had HOLES in it, yes, that was my fault for over looking that detail upon purchase, but its the principle. The Dealership should not be selling cars that are not drivable, a convertible that is leaking is not salable. I would recommend not even bothering with this dealership. If I could rate them lower than 1 star I would. read more

waited 2 monthes to write this review in case anything came up. First off, the car buying experience was great. I had been searching for a small pick up truck for about 5 monthes before purchasing one from stateline. They had the best price and i was able to get a loan with very low interest. They also gave me a good price for my trade in. The only negative thing i have about stateline is the service department. After a month of having my truck the drivers side headlight was out and the serpentine belt needed to be replaced. I mentioned the drivers side headlight when i took the truck for a test drive and was assured itd be fixed. By looking at the serpentine belt it is obvious it should have been replaced a while ago (VERY cracked). When i called to bring the truck in for service i was told id get a call back. I called again 6 hours later and was told again id get a call back before 6pm. Finally got a call around 7pm from someone offering to work on the truck at night at a different shop which i thought was very weird. I ended up taking the truck somewhere else, but dissappointed that i cant get a call back with in a reasonable time frame or have service done there. Overall, good place to buy a vehical from, but not great after the purchase is complete. read more

Took my son to go test drive a 2006 Dodge Ram truck at Stateline. We were handed the keys to the truck and off we went. I was never so happy to get out of a vehicle after riding in this death trap!! We had to swerve to avoid hitting debris on the highway and found out the truck had little steering control which was very scary. When we exited the highway, we weren't sure the vehicle was going to stop, the brakes were so bad!!! How can a dealership let anyone drive such an unsafe vehicle?!!
